What are your thoughts about the Stars in the Sky, and the Planets that exist in the Created Universe?

Do you enjoy being able to see the stars in a place that you enjoy seeing them well on a clear night sky?

Have you ever used a telescope to look and see a planet that exist out there in what is considered Outer space?
The size of the universe is mind-boggling. I doubt you can see a planet with a regular telescope.

Goodness maybe one day could meet some who had a high power telescope and see something? Don't they have a way to visit the Hubble telescope or is that thing in space too?

I really enjoy it. During summer when it’s daylight still at 9pm ( I go to bed around thre because I work at 4am ) I’ll spend the days hiking and foraging. But in winter when the nights get dark at 530pm, I’ll hike less and tend to do night sky watching. Though I need to dedicate more time to learning them. A great app with great free features is star walk 2. Has tons of pants, stars, satellites and good updates. You can use your phone and point it at the sky and it will show you what’s there on your screen and allow you to see its movement.

Another reason why I like starry nights is the science of it. It’s cool that we can look back into time millions and millions of years because of how light works. So if an alien was alive on some planet and was 1 million light years away looking at it and we were several more million light years away we could have both been looking at the same scene lol. There is also just so much we don’t know. We tend to realize how small we are when we see the sky.

lastly I really enjoy it because I like cosmic terror. So lots of lovecraftian horror. I enjoy sci horror a lot and it can be really creative looking up at it. During fall and winter me and other local disciples often meet up and have campfires and tell scary stories while fellowshipping and so those memories are connected to start full moon nights too.

Others planets and stars are cool indeed.
Long time ago before planets could be seen through a telescope not with the naked eye, though Mars can look like a red star when it's close but people use to call them wondering stars because they would move, in the verse below I think that is the indication of planets He made the stars also, the sun is a star great light so He made the stars also is something else wondering stars.

Genesis 1:16
God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night. And He made the stars as well.

To ancient cultures, the greater light was the sun and the less light was the moon. They did not know that the moon was reflecting light for a while. Back then they thought it had its own light. They recognized not all stars blinked, but they did not think there was other planets really. They believed that firmament had these lights placed within it and that everything moved but earth.
It’s why in Joshua the writer showed he believed the sun moved which is why it was stopped.
What’s also interesting is that you see the mention of “ blood red moons “ several times in the Bible. What causes the moon to appear read from earth is lots of smoke in the atmosphere. So when they use to see a red moon they believed it was a bad sign and usually it was. It can be seen as red from a thousand miles away from the source causing it. So when lots of war was happening and fires was being started for months the smoke would scatter light being reflected on to the moons surface making it look red. If it was just from lots of natural fires it meant that all the people who lived in those areas had to flee. It would shift all the populations around. Back then traveling a few hundred miles took a long long time. It’s nothing for us nowadays to drive 10 miles away. Back then that was a hard task.

Indeed early cultures didn't know much about the cosmos for sure.

As we know the sun lights up the moon, what's your opinion on the lesser light or is it still sunlight on the moon or something else?

Earths core is quite important for life on it, its like a little ball of light encased in darkness helping to protect it from radiation and rouge rocks flying around.

From what is understood this is something very new and recent very cool photo graph. They said what the device which was used was called but it slips my mind to be able to recall the exact name.

That is true, There were always people looking and seeing the stars at night, and throughout the variations of the seasons. Sometimes, through time lapse photos you can see the stars moving along with the sun having set, and then coming back up again. Through out the year it seems that either we spin, or the stars just slowly flux rotating as they were set in the Sky by God.

Some people could have come to the conclusion, that the sun reflected the moon. There were many people throughout time who were deep thinkers. Then again you have those like Indians, who seen everything as God. So I do not know.

Yes indeed they paid attention to the stars at night for sure. Time was counted by them rising/setting during the night. Scripture calls them watches in the night. Sundials during the day except during bad weather cloudy days and nights time went right out the window lol..

Keeping time was quite difficult for the ancient people using sun dails and star counting. The biggest obstacle was evening and morning dusk and dawn there's about 18 minutes each where there is light but the sun isn't casting a shadow nor any stars can be seen. After a couple of years of not counting 36 minutes a day adds up to being off on the calendar and the seasons.
Evening and Morning was the most elusive to know the time.

God used the stars/planets in the night skies to predict the birth of Jesus and to lead the Magi to him. So they must be important. maybe they still tell stories to those who can read them.

I agree they are important, I like this verse saying He brings them out one by one and none are missing :)
Isaiah 40:26
Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.

Just reading that verse lifted my spirit, it is so awesome and wonderful and they all have names.
Psalm 147:4
He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.

Hubble is a space telescope. I don't know if it can see planets outside this solar system or not.

Any inventions that you are interested it aside from the Telescope? Thank you for confirming it was a space telescope. How wild to be able to build these things, and make it suitable to be seen, all by the Glory of God.
