Russia is helping 4 Oblasts who want to join Russia and have been at a civil war with Kiev western Ukraine since 2014. Putin is the good guy if your on the separatists side. All I see are globalist NeoCons on the other side, and I dont like them at all.

I was thinking the West may use this fear of nuclear war to end their war with Russia in Ukraine. All the while portraying Russia in an evil maligning light. I don't know how that though will get them the cheap fossil fuels they need to continue to exist in the lifestyle they are accustomed to. Except that their leaders don't want cheap easily available energy for everyday people, and especially for Germany seems to want to deindustrialize that country. They are making life much harder for common people to survive with a sense of decency. Europe is going to be a flash point I think, for uprisings, revolution and war again.

Another big part of this, Moscow is too close to Ukraine. A nuclear missile launch from Ukraine is 5 minutes away from Moscow.
Compare that to a 30-minute missile flight from Russia to Washington DC. Regardless of that, if you were Russia, you would not want NATO, which is a proven hostile combatant to Russia right next to you. We also in USA rejected with violence the placement of nukes in Cuba, close to the US and said no to the point that we would go to war over that. Our own history shows our hypocrisy over the situation.

USA has also embraced doctrine of Nuclear Supremacy, no longer MAD (mutually assured destruction). We consider ourselves superior and can and will use nuclear weapons offensively as in a first strike again another nuclear armed power, such as Russia or China, and Russia knows that.

Well Putin cannot call for a referendum in a nation not his. nor can these oblasts call a referendum. It is a land grab, and I am convinced a sham that will vote on Russia side, Russia will quickly accept them as part of Russia, accuse Ukraine of threatening Russian sovereignty and use it as an excuse to use tactical nukes.

As much as I didlikemost neo-con politicos, I prefer them over Putin.

You still have yet to show any evidence that US wants air bases in U*kraine or that the US ever had a chemical weapons plant in the Ukraine! It would be nice if you backed up your charges with proof.

Well we really don't know how many really want to rejoin Russia. YOu mistrust western media and Russian media is known to lie through their vodka stained teeth! But fort a re3ferendum to be legal and valid Ukraine must sanction and authorize it! After all it is their territory. It would be like Mexico holding a referendum to reacquire Texas, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona and California- if the vote went their way- would you agree to let them have those states even if the US didn't allow it or sanction a referendum? On this i would like an answer.

But let us look at some facts about your nice guy peace loving Putin.

1. He alone has threatened the use of nukes in his illegal invasion.
2. This illegal referendum is an excuse for him to use them to regain the advantage.
3. IN Izium they found mass graves with clear signs of people tortured by the Russians.
4. Even by the most conservative estimates from India ( a pro russian govt.) Russia has lost a minimum of 1/3 of all trheir functioning main battle tanks in this illegal war.
5. They have lost close to 1/2 of all other vehicles
6. they are near out of advanced "smart" missiles.
7. Everyone expected the war to last maybe a week. We are about to enter the 8th month.
8. Russia has seen over 70,000 troops killed and at least that much injured and out of combat. That is the equivalents of 7 complete corps!
9 they are now conscripting 300,000 men from mostly ethnic minority regions. they are former reservists who served 1 year (though many have never served) from 18-60 years old.
10. they will be given only 2 weeks of training before going to the front! Not with modern equipment, but old soviet era arms.
11. They are simply cannon fodder to have the Ukraine kill thousands and waste ammo while Putin seeks to consolidate His regime and control of the lands he stole.
12. 2,000 people arrested for protesting the partial mobilization.
13. tens of thousands fleeing Russia to avoid going to be killed.
14. New law passed making fleeing being drafted to be killed anywhere from 10 years in prison to death!

What a wonderful man Putin is!
