[
What, you think Jesus prayed to people?..:)
]
Nope – I don’t think He prayed to people.
I KNOW He did – and I proved it in my last post by giving you the verses.

You see – an intelligent response would be an attempt to REFUTE my Scriptural evidence.
A stupid response would be the usual denials without counter-evidence . . .

Yup, the Roman church has been telling lies for at least 7 centuries and millions of indoctrinated Catholics have believed them, but most were simply indifferent to the nonsensical doctrines derived from dreams, fables, and the consensus of carnal minds.
Another cowardly non-response.
Interesting . . .

STUDY your Bible.
Your posts are embarrassingly ignorant . . .
Only by your redefinition of prayer to satisfy a fraudulent argument.

"Then he said to me, “This is the curse that is going forth over the face of the whole land; surely everyone who steals will be purged away according to the writing on one side, and everyone who swears will be purged away according to the writing on the other side. “I will make it go forth,” declares the LORD of hosts, “and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of the one who swears falsely by My name; and it will spend the night within that house and consume it with its timber and stones.” Zechariah 5:3-4

"Make sure that none of you suffers as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler; but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name. For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 1 Peter 4:15-17

..ASKING perfected members of the Body of Christ to pray FOR us is a good thing..

Again I ask- Why not simply pray directly to God like Jesus told us to?-
"One of his disciples said 'Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.'
He said to them, “When you pray, say:
“‘Father, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come.." (Luke 11:1-2)

You ignored post #536, offered no logical rebuttal to post 535
[Hell having a swing door]- is a stupid and absurd LIE.

No offence mate but your huge posts 535 and 536 were much too long for me to unravel, in fact I rarely respond to other people's long posts either, it's nothing personal..:)-
"The more the words, the less the meaning, and how does that profit anyone?" (Ecc 6:11)

As for hell, correct me if i'm wrong but catholics believe in "purgatory" and think they'll be let out of hell after serving their time there.

In your gigantic post #555 you fired a burst of verses at me like Rambo, I checked out a few but none seemed to mention Jesus praying to people, so I had to skip the rest..:)

Your Bible version of Rev obviously differs from mine..:)
Anyway if the saints and Mary are manning a "call centre" up there, why not simply bypass them and pray directly to God like Jesus told us to?

the angels are messengers

I’m not worthy of being heard, but God hears his saints and especially his mother!

It’s not MY “redefinition” of anything.

I posted the definition from Webster’s Collegiate DictionaryAND posted a Scripture verse as an example (Acts 27:34).
YOUR problem is the age-old issue of DENIAL.

Just ADMIT when you’re wrong . .

We don't need Mary or the "saints" to act as go-betweens..:)
"There is one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ" (1 Tim 2:5)

the communion of saints acts together

Jesus Christ extends his mission, power, and authority to His church of His apostles!

Even His judging!
Matt 19:28 and 1 cor 6:2
His teaching authority!
Matt 28:19 and Jn 20:21
His power to forgive sins!
Jn 20:23
His being the light of the world!
Matt 5:14
His ministry of reconciliation!
2 cor 5:18
His authority in governing the church and administering the kingdom!
Matt 16:18-19 & 18:18 Jn 21:17
Lk 22:29
Apart from me you can do nothing. Jn 15:5
Acts 2:42 doctrine of the apostles!
So the church is subject to Christ!
Eph 5:24
Christ shares His glory! 2 thes 1:10 rev 12:1

The pillar and foundation of TRUTH!
1 Tim 3:15

The TWO EDGE SWORD!
To proclaim the truth! Matt 28:19
To condemn error! 1 cor 16:22

Jesus Christ founded the new covenant church for the salvation of all men! (Jn 1:16-17) Christ is the truth! (Jn 14:6) Christ and his church are one!
(Acts 9;4 eph 5:32)
The church is the pillar of truth
(1 Tim 3:15) that must teach all men (Matt 28:19) without error guided by the Holy Spirit
(Jn 16:13) Thru the grace of God in the sanctification of souls applied in the seven sacraments!

Jesus Christ continues HIS ministry in His new covenant church thru Peter, the apostles, and their successors with the same mission, power, and authority!
Mt 16:18 Mt 28:19 Matt 18:17 Acts 1:17 acts 8:31 & 35 acts 9:4 Lk 10:16 Jn 8:32 Jn 13:20 Jn 15:5 Jn 16:13 Jn 20:21-22 eph 2:20 acts 2:42

It means some people think hell has a swing door and that once they're in they'll be let out after serving their time in "purgatory"..:)

No heaven and hell are permanent

purgatory is about temporal punishment due to God’s justice for sin not salvation

Again I ask- Why not simply pray directly to God like Jesus told us to?-
Because you DON’T ask God to pray FOR you.
We ask members of the Body of Christ.

You CAN’T be this dense . . .
James 5:16

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER, that you may be healed. ahe prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

With regard to the Body of Christ, Paul emphatically states that:
1 Cor. 12:21-22
“The eye cannot say to the hand, ‘I do not need you,’ nor again the head to the feet, ‘I do not need you.’

Every single one of them show Jesus praying yo people.
YOUTRproblem is that you’re a liar who refuses to accept the definition of the word “PRAY”.

Once again – I am happy to expose your blatant dishonesty withg the official definition from Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary AND from Scripture . . .

Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary:
Full Definition of pray
transitive verb

1: entreat, implore —often used as a function word in introducing a question, request, or plea<pray be careful>
2: to get or bring by praying

intransitive verb
1: to make a request in a humble manner
2: to address God or a god with adoration, confession, supplication, or thanksgiving

Acts 27:34 - KJV
"Wherefore I PRAY you to take some meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you".

I give thorough relies to your cheap shots. (Ecclesiastes 1:13) You reply with more cheap shots. Now you use scripture to justify willful ignorance.

As for hell, correct me if i'm wrong but catholics believe in "purgatory" and think they'll be let out of hell after serving their time there.
Nobody can correct you. Those in purgatory are ultimately saved, they are not in hell. But you have infallibly declared that they are in hell. Nobody can correct you. No amount of explanations, no amount of scripture, no amount of authentic teaching can change your core belief; you suffer from cognitive dissonance.

upload_2022-9-30_14-24-17.png

That's at least 3 times you have falsely equated purgatory with hell. Grow up.

“Mary is God’s greatest creation.”
“I never cease to be amazed by anti-Catholics tunnel vision and irrationality”.

I am never amazed by anti-Protestants whose rationality of what to Believe is concluded by the extent of men’s philosophical teachings and not after the limits and extents of the spiritual Word of God.

THUS......two Different standings, and continual Disagreement.
