If one knows nothing about Puerto Rico .....throwing money at this island is kin to throwing money to support the Ukranian War. You have no idea where the money goes.
When a new Govenor gets elected, all his relatives are inserted into every government position they can occupy. When I sat in front of the PREPA Board (Puerto Rico Power Administration) to obtain a check for an outstanding invoice of $800,000 .....All officers had to sign off on this check ....Odd, (every name with the exception of a couple related by marriage) was of the same family.
The power system in Puerto Rico looks exactly like what one would find in a third world country. In this case the repairs on the system are being handled by American Contractors ....along the lines of billions given to New Orleans to enforce their leevees ....and we all know what happened when Katrina came to visit ....When th repairs to the Leevees took place after Katrina ....the Army Corps of Engineers handled the money and the repairs.
Corruption is expected in Puerto Rico.

I sat in that meeting and wondered "How can you be so inept that this is the result of you taking from your own citizens and they let it happen?"
How can you fix carnal hearts that are so selfish to the core? For people like this there is only one remedy, deep surgery of the heart. By being dragged down low into a state of deep despair and fear, and then arise with the real want of God and Christ in their lives. Else they are done in the next 'life.' I hope they enjoy it here while it lasts because it will be the last of it and them.
