Oh I LOVE music and singing. I don't personally play anything but I do sing worship.... Music (worship in particular) plays a big part in my relationship with God. Opens my heart and soul when I just don't feel like talking to God and honoring God - Music melts the ice on the inside

ah music, one of my favorite things in the world.. This summer alone I spent over 400$ on new CD's.Unfortunately, I don't enjoy playing instruments as much. I learnt Piano, and gave it up. Then learnt Guitar. My friends were in a band and missing their bassist, and since they had a show a month away, they made me learn bass. I got it, but didn't really like it, and left after the show. I've played other instruments too. Picked up the violin once or twice and made it sound ok, though there was once or twice when I made it sound.. not ok. I also recall having mandatory 'recorder' lessons in elementary school. I still have that somewhere. My family is pretty musical. Both sisters are good at piano and keyboards, though one of them gave it up for singing. My dad has many guitars in the house, along with the piano, keyboards and bass. My mother picked up the Clarinet. I guess I just never really got hooked. I can do it, but I'd rather just sit back and listen.For me, Music is great to listen to. I can appreciate when a good player enjoys what he/she does, but I never really got excited about the ability to do those things. I didn't see it as worthwhile to put my time into playing any instrument really well. I just wasn't having much fun.But listening.. wow.. talk about ecstasy. I love listening to music. It is exhilarating, calming, gives strength and solidarity and helps me feel good after any bad day. Not to sound like a glutton, but I feel about music the way many feel about food; I don't need to cook it to love it. Some people are cooks. I'm an eater.love music.{though.. I always wondered if I would have enjoyed playing drums more if I had been made to play then earlier. After all, my favorite genres of music are Hardcore and Metalcore. Oh well.}
