Servant Prince
I finished my study, but if you're still interested, I think if you type in Heifer in the search on the site, you'll find my study, or at least part of it. When I talk about more than one atonement, I'm talking strictly about the Old Testament. All the sacrifices and atonement of the Old Testament were fulfilled in one- in Christ. However, just because the animals of the Old Testament and their sacrifice are done away with in Christ, doesn't mean the symbolism thereof is lost today. If Jesus is the lamb, then according to proper exegetical study, the same educational symbolism should apply to the other sacrifices. My goal was to find out, if the heifer wasn't symbolic of Jesus, who or what was the heifer symbolic of? I actually believe the heifer was symbolic of the church. An interesting study as to how symbolism of the Old Testament can be prophetic of the new, even when all sacrifices are completed in Christ.
