2012 and YOU ~
Face The Challenge!

I take this opportunity to draw your attention to the goals and ambitions you may have for 2012, and beyond? What will your focus be this year? Will it be more clearly defined than last year? Remember, it is God’s will that you live life to the full through Jesus Christ Who lives in you. With Him in your life you can be an overcomer every day. You can achieve what He created you to achieve! “You can do all things through Christ Who strengthens you” (Philippians 4:13)!

My heart for you is that 2012 (and beyond) will be the greatest and grandest times yet in your walk with God and in your service for Jesus Christ the Lord. To do this you will need to have a right and positive confession ~ based on the Word of God ~ that will cause you to rise above every obstacle, and to enable you to triumph in every situation. I pray that your life will not be hindered by the frustration of wanting to serve God and yet not knowing where you fit. So many Christians are disillusioned and frustrated because they are not being trained, equipped and released into their God-ordained calling. Right now our generation needs every born-again, Holy Spirit-filled Christian believer to be living and occupied in the very centre of God’s will. His heart for us is that we not only know God’s will for our life, but that we prove God’s will for our life (Romans 12:1-2)!

Jesus said:
  • “The labourers are few!” (see Matthew 9:35-38).
  • Does this not concern us?
Life is too short for us to be wasting our time, gifts and finances on things other than the purposes of God. I speak out of the burden of my heart. I see so many who are not fulfilled in their calling. Or they are placed in a position where their frustration only grows larger! Unless we, personally, know our calling in God ~ and give ourselves wholeheartedly to that call ~ we will continue to “short-change” ourselves in the work of the Kingdom of Heaven. If we really want this year to be a whole lot better than our previous years, then we have to sow into this year in such a way that we will reap the benefits of that which we sow.
  • We DO reap what we sow! (see Galatians 6:1-10).
  • We ARE the products of our believing, or not believing!
The Holy Spirit, Who lives inside of every born-again, Holy Spirit-filled believer, is power for service (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8). Service, not simply an added blessing! We cannot experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit ~ which is power for service ~ and then simply sit in church or meetings as passive hearers only. That frustrates the Holy Spirit within us! And if He is frustrated within us, you can guarantee we will be frustrated more! So . . .
  • What obstacles are there in the way?
  • What excuses need to be deleted?
  • What is stopping you?
  • What changes need to be made?
  • What challenges need to be faced up to?
  • The call and will of God does not just “fall into our laps” ~ we have to pursue it with all our heart.
The fact is that unless we do something about desiring change, then nothing changes! To change means making some definite decisions that show God you are serious about wanting to change for the better.
Whatever the time, date and year, YOU CAN cultivate YOUR faith in the Promises of God NOW and be the man or woman He says you can be, and what He has called you to be. It is not too late!
  • Say what God says about you today ~ it really does do wonders, increases your vision, opens up new dimensions to you, and gives opportunity to be a powerful witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Does your faith move mountains ~ or do mountains move your faith?
Be a mountain mover in 2012 and beyond! Be a mountain mover on the authority of God’s Word given to you through Jesus Christ and the revelation of the Holy Spirit! He will not fail you.

“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, ‘Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them’” (Mark 11:23-24, NKJV).

Hey Angelina! Nice post. I have began to set aside a chunk every morning to pray, read the Bible, study the passage and really think about what it is saying to me. I'm finding it wonderful! I'm really getting benefit from really chewing on God's word, rather than just reading a chapter and walking away from it. I'm also trying to actively pursue certain topics that matter to me at the moment...reading up on sanctification and the work of the Holy Spirit in my life. I know He is calling me to grow and keep walking forwards, and I also know that as I grow in knowledge I'll grow in love, for God and others.
So yeah, as always, a work in progress, but I'm actively trying to walk in my faith every day, and I can honestly say that my joy is growing with it!

My goal for 2012 is whatever Jesus chooses my goals to be. I think too many Christians are thinking about and setting their OWN goals and not allow Jesus to set Jesus' goals for their life instead.

I follow God's will, not my will.

I follow God's goals for my life, not my own goals.

I follow God's ways for my life, and not my own ways.

God reveals His goals for my life in 2012 each and every day. I never set my own goals, I only follow God's goals for my life.

I deny my own goals, and only follow God's goals.

Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

God bless.

P.S Thank you Angelina for bringing this topic up, it's an important topic. God's will be done, not our will be done.

There is nothing wrong with goal setting Truth. The bible says "man plans his ways but God directs his steps" Proverbs 16:9. As Christian believers, God is in everything we do. The doors will either open or close according to his will. ^_^

Blessings!!!

My word it's important to let God guide us...for us to follow His lead. But so many times God wants us to be the ones to step out in faith before He steps in and leads us somewhere else. As Christians we need to be flexible and also willing to listen for, and hear, the Spirit's guiding!
I don't think there's anything wrong with making and starting on plans, but it does become sinful if we stick to them despite any leading of God to go elsewhere.
In my case, I cannot see that God will lead me to spend less time in His word, but I suppose you never know! At the least, I'm finding that the more I set aside a deliberate time for this reading and study, the more I'm 'hearing' from God through His word. It's kind of awesome!
Oh, and amen to His will being done, not our own.

I 100% agree with you sister Angelina, IF the goal setting has God in mind, and His will, not our own will. IF the goal setting is influenced, inspired and led by the Holy Spirit and not our own minds.

Sadly and shockingly, so many "christians" set personal goals for themselves that God has not approved off and does not condone. God's goal for us is to DENY ourselves and our own wants and instead carry our cross and follow Jesus and live a humble and simple life like Jesus did, and not focus on storing earthly treasures, but heavenly treasures instead, Matthew 16:24, Matthew 6:19.21.

God's will be done, not our will be done.

God bless.

Maybe a goal for 2012 is for your cat to lose some weight and get fit and healthy?

God bless.

 Oh I cant stop giving her treats she has the cutest meow.

Is your cat really that big as appears in the pic? Don't you worry about slowly killing your cat, heart disease etc?

Please consider a goal for 2012...to help your cat lose weight and get fit and healthy :)

God bless.

No they just get a little fat in winter its too cold to go outside in UpperCanada. We actually have 3 the one ran away last fall or got mauled by coyotes, and he looks like that cat except he wasn't that fat. They get good exercise in summer. Im thinking of getting one of those really fancy cats like a Russian Blue or a Himilayan to round out my cat needs.
