I maybe wrong but i take when one shakes hands with another you can get an idea if where he is at.
I had one try to do it with his left hand and i refused totally.

And the other week a politician shaking went waving right to left with his right hand shake and i will never bother to talk to him again as i find that offencive and i think he is a low life grub now.

Some idiots try to grab ya hand real hard thinking their tuff or something, it's ok if you know them or it's an old mate but not someone you just met.

A old mate of mine said when he goes to Church one dude always greats you at the door and turns his my mates palm upwards, a dog trick ! so i showed him what i do to people that do that filth as they will never do it again to ya after that.

What do you lot think.

I think you should stop insulting others and love people instead.

Would Jesus go around and call people idiots or grubs?

Relax your standards, become more compassionate to others and more understanding. It's not like they are killing anyone for goodness sake.

God bless.

I think you are a cantankerous old geezer who relies on shallow shortsighted things to judge people.

I'm with TruthSeeker and Comm.Arnold on this one.

You feel the need to come on a Christian web site to namecall yet again.

This time about something that has nothing to do with what this site discusses.

You seem like the kind of guy who would complain about getting the winning lottery ticket because it isn't big enough to frame.

I'm sure he'll tell us what hand shaking ahs to do with Christianity.

Rosenberger
If someone gives you a handshake you don't like what do you do? Punch his lights out or twist his arm behind his back? If that's the case then you need proffessional help.

I know these two guys. I grew up watching them in the Young Ones and Bottom. I think this clip was from Saturday Night Live in about 1986.

Yes it does have to do with Christianity very much so as it's about trust "Faith" ! in fact.
Yes maybe it has a bit to do with me growing up as a nipper into Ju jitsu but that is a gentle art and as i taught my mate that trick has nothing to do with hurting anyone but maybe his satanic pride could be humbled and so what if someone is willing to humiliate you why not.

I think one can tell a lot from ones hand shake and body language maybe it's because i do business with people that i take it seriously i watch their eyes and anything as how that they say things because if i don't trust them i know to steer clear of them as many years of this has taught me the hard way and it's like you know that the person is going to be a problem and cost me.
I find my self to trusting in others and i have to remind myself especially nowadays as the lowlife are out there in droves now.

Yes i know many and i am friends of some and the fact is they are not fools when it come to the handshake.
Left hand is degrading and it show total contempt. but if he can not with the right the left is fine.

I will judge people because i have to as it would be very unwise not to.

Love one who is trying to rob you, why did not Christ say to Satan to be gone ?
There are many grubs and idiot out there and it is not an insult if it is a fact.
Christianity is not about being a so called silly loving fool to everyone regardless what they do.

This I can completely understand. I don't know which type of Ju jitsu you did, although I'm assuming it was a traditional Ryu type and not Judo. Either way, there's nothing gentle about it. neck cranks, throws, arm bars, chokes, strangles, leg locks, heal hooks, knee bars and all the various beautiful, yet brutal techniques. That said,,,

Working with several different people from dojo to dojo, and also newcomers, you do get a very good sense of anothers intent. This ranges from a certain look in their eye to body language. In some cases hand shakes. There are people that come to train because they want to be tough, or think they're tough and don't care about uke at all. Their body language tells this first hand. There's been people that just gave me an uneasy feeling. I was right.

Now, In Judo, the kyu grades line up on oneside according to rank and the dan grades line up on the other side also according to rank. At the end of class we all walk by in line and shake hands. The dan grades that are interested in mutual benifit will shake hands firmly and look you in the eye. The others that are there only for themselves, will shake hands like a limp noodle and not even bother to look at you.

BTW, I don't like the word Nipper. Besides, even for a racial slur it's not even correct. Nippon is the proper way to say Japan in Japanese. The everyday way is Nihon. You should know that. Then again, maybe Niher is harder to say?

Shaking hands is definately a cultural thing and seems to mean more here in the US than anywhere else. There's definately a stigma against a weak handshake, and not looking in the eye. Just as it's rude to refuse to shake hands.

I think you can tell a little about someone through a handshake. There's so many subtleties involved. Only those who have the ability to understand body language will pick up on them. But, this isn't something that you can base everything about a person on.

The handshake is an interesting subject I have heard stories where people feel like they have shook hands with a demon after shaking hands with certain people.
That person that always stands at the door of the church greeting people as they go in and giving my old mate the turning of his hand upwards and the door man has his over the top, as in that he is trying to be in the dominate position ?
Now this person always does this to my old mate and he did not like it at all and said to me that it made him feel like not going to church because of this person, and he was troubled by it so.
I pointed out how to deal with such a one and this would give this joker the message not to do it again and it will not harm him at all.
As for my judging i think can judge this type of stuff. as it is not the place to be a joker at all in my opinion.

ROFLOL, I'm sorry! You're not from the US, guessing by you saying "mate". Here in the states it used to be a racial slur to call a Japanese a Nip.
