Since Jesus said we can know when He returns "right at the door" (Matt. 24.33) then how do we figure out when He returns?

Very simply He returns on the 2,520th day (end of Daniel's final seven) from when the Tribulation starts. 2,520 is the smallest number divisible by all numbers from 2 to 10 as a basic prophetic working unit, and it is 7 years x 360 days per year.

The last 3 feasts pertain to when Jesus returns. Feast of Trumpets (representing the first rapture according to readiness, Luke 21.36, Rev. 3.10 at 9.7 "before the throne") commences the 7 year Tribulation, and the 2,520th day must land on Tisha B'Av, the day the 1st and 2nd Temples were destroyed, for Jesus returns to reign in the 3rd Temple for 1000 years on earth with His overcomers. Not all who are saved receive this reward though all saved do get to enter the New City after the 1000 years. Consider this consequences for slothful Christians.

Furthermore we know the "branch is tender" (Matt. 24.32) because Israel is a nation again and the Total Lunar Tetrads coincide with when Israel became a nation May 14, 1948 and entered Jerusalem June 7, 1967 as the signs in the heavens. The 8th feast Tetrad since Christ is 2014/15. And there are exactly 2,520 days from Sept. 14 Feast of Trumpets 2015 to Aug. 7 Tisha B'Av 2022. Not so for 2014-22 or 2016-23.

To further seal the deal, not that we need more proof, the 3 events that occur right before the Tribulation starts (Rev. 6.12) in exact order are the great earthquake (either 320,000 killed in Haiti 2010 or 5th greatest in magnitude, Japan 2011), the blacksackcloth sun Nov. 3, 2013 (rarest of all, the 4th H3 Hybrid since Christ), and of course the Total Lunar Tetrad 2014/15 that only falls on passover and tabernacles and won't happen again till 2582/83. The H3 won't happen again till 2172.

If you care to include other evidences like the Malachy Prophecy (religious Rome destroyed in the 1st half of the Tribulation in Rev. 8 in agreement with 17.16), the prophecy of Jubilees, and Ezekiel's prophecy that takes us to exactly May, 1948 when Israel would become a nation again this only strengthens the timeline.

Considering the last drop of conventional oil is 2035 when 900 billion barrels (current estimate of available oil by industry reports) are used up at an average of 100 million barrels a day, the war over this resource will be a good 15 years before that to control the flow of oil in the middle east. Hence, 200 million military units in the middle east (Rev. 9.16) and the nuclear exchange (v.18). This fits perfectly with the timeline of the 6th and 7th trumpets from Aug. 20, 2020 to Aug. 7, 2022. Jesus steps down on the mount of olives on the latter date.

Now that you know this what do you do? "Overcometh" so that you become a spiritual Christian and not a carnal one to receive your reward to be first raptured and return with Christ to reign 1000 years. Many Christians don't care for this reward so they will lose this blessing (Rev. 1.3).

All the numbers in the prophecies will be fulfilled in God's timing, but too many people play with the numbers when it is the PURPOSE behind His coming that is what is important. If one wants to know when Yeshua` will return, simply look at Matthew 23:39:

Matt. 23:37-39
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
KJV

The sentence, "Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord" means "Welcome, comer in the authority of YHVH" in Hebrew! When the Jews of Jerusalem can say those words to Yeshua` the Messiah of God, despite their misgivings about "Jesus Christ" today, THEN He will return!

I always enjoy christian trolls (notice the lower case "c"), they are so over the top and angry. Reminds me of political liberals. Oh well, I won't waste my pearls before this swine. (Not an insult, it's scripture).

I do wonder how people convinced we can know the time of Jesus' return reconcile their thoughts with the many scriptures that say we cannot know the day. It is pure foolishness to try and estimate His arrival...as seen by all the other poor souls who have done that very thing...and been ludicrously wrong. It would be funny, but these people make the rest of us Christians look silly, which reflects poorly on God's name too...and that is not okay. Not to mention the damage done to people who believe these 'false prophecies'...giving away all their things, and having their faith shaken because they listened to man. When are people going to wake up and realise that we are not to know when Jesus will return...it's not for us to know...only the Father in Heaven. The only thing we need to know is that He will come back, and when He does, His timing will be perfect. Until then, we walk the walk and do our best to bring others to awareness of God....as one pastor said....stack kindling around others and pray the Holy Spirit sets fire to it!!

You're not a Christian but you are a troll.

There are no passages that say you can't know the day. In fact Jesus said as the opening post shows you can know even right at the door the day He returns (Matt. 24.33) though you can't know the hour that day. So we know the day. See opening post.

What you can't know according to Matt. 24.35-36 is that you can't know the day of the end of the world. Jesus returns to reign on earth 1000 years before the end of the world. You are conflating two things.

What Jesus said only once Israel is a nation again can you know. You couldn't know say in the year 1582 or 1646. But since 1948 we have known the day Jesus returns according to the Total Lunar Tetrads and the 2,520 days of Daniel's final seven from Feast of Trumpet Sept. 14, 2015 to Tisha B'Av Aug. 7, 2022.

Calender calculators and converters online and the NASA website make it is easy for the average person to know as well.

The important thing to remember is that if you are not saved now don't reject this Jesus whose parousia begins Sept. 14, 2015, but to give your life to Christ and if you do not understand this timeline (the blessing of Rev. 1.3) at least be humble enough to accept this Jesus when He comes, for He created you.

 Ahhh, what about this passage:

No One Knows the Day or Hour
“Now concerning that day and hour no one knows —neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son—except the Father only... Therefore be alert, since you don’t know what day your Lord is coming. But know this: If the home owner had known what time the thief was coming, he would have stayed alert and not let his house be broken into. This is why you also must be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. - Matthew 24:36,42-44

or this one...

13 “Therefore be alert, because you don’t know either the day or the hour. - Matthew 25:13

I'm sorry, but there is absolutely nothing biblical at all in the response above. I am definitely saved, I have the promised Holy Spirit to confirm that I am. And loving Jesus and His word as I do, I see nothing in the bible to support your suppositions. Sorry. What I see the bible saying quite clearly is this:

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats... “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." - Matthew 26:31-32,46

Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death...Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
(1 Corinthians 15:24-26,51-55 ESV)

This is evidence of the righteous judgement of God, that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering—since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might, when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marvelled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed. (2 Thessalonians 1:5-10 ESV)

But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgement and destruction of the ungodly.
But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfil his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. (2 Peter 3:7-10 ESV)

The Bible consistently talks of one day...the day of the Lord. On that day Jesus will return and on his return several things will happen: Everyone will be judged and given eternal bodies...some to eternal life with God, others to eternal punishment. The last enemy, death, will therefore be conquered, as we are all now imperishable in one form or another. And also, the old heavens and earth will pass away in fire, to be replaced by a new heavens and new earth. This is a very simplistic, quick overview, but still, the intent is the same. There is no room for either a 'secret' rapture that separates the second coming, or room for a literal 1000 years reign upon the earth. Jesus return to earth is the final completing step in redemptive history.
