I am starting this thread for those who wish to post about their own experiences in reaching out to the lost...the rejected ones of society. I am doing this first for brother Dave but for any one else who wishes to share of their experience.

Has anyone ever ministered to the lost,,,either outside the church or within?

Not to nit pic but unless you are talking about the homeless or very poor most of the "lost" are very much accepted by society which makes them more difficult to reach...a man or woman living on the street with nothing is in most cases more receptive to the gospel than a man or woman with a good career, nice home, friends, family and fully engaged in modern society...these people are way more prone to believe they have everything they will ever need and will often point to their station in life as an indicator of how good they think they already are based on the completely unbiblical notion that God shows his approval of an individual by giving them lots of stuff,we have the modern church and its prosperity gospel to thank for that......the down and out have no station and nothing to point to....they understand what the word "need" realy means.

Well, ive given money to the poor for the last 30 years including helping handouts as well as paying their bills and buying food.
Ive witnessed to the lost on the streets, and businesses, and hospitals, and elsewhere in the USA and prayed for the sick in Israel.
Ive ministered the word in mental health clinics, ive used my music to reach the lost and bless the saints in the USA, Russia, France, Israel, Belize, since the late 80s.
Ive taught the New Testament, specifically Pauline Theology, to a few thousand and im not certain how many ive led to Christ.
I'll find that out after i die.

Through my life, I have found God acting through me has reached the lost rather than anything I knowingly said or did
.
Friends and friends of my family have come to the LORD, not by preaching but simply asking me questions because of the difference the LORD made in me.

I didn't even notice it coming. One minute I was being asked questions and the next they were giving themselves over to the LORD. We don't reach out to the lost, the LORD reaches out to them himself.

My experience is that God reaches out through us to those he is calling. The book of life was written before we existed and I know God calls them his own way.
