How do you praise and worship the only being that could stop"Boy, 5, doused in gas, set on fire by masked men" cnn frontpage as of August 26"raped and killed a 9-year-old Florida girl by burying her alive" cnn frontpage as of August 26And in the time it took for me to copy and paste this here, I'm sure 50 more cases have occurred.I don't believe in hell, but I'd gladly burn there for all eternity long before I ever praise he who sits idly by as the suffering of mankind continues day in day out, supposedly due to the first man's questioning of God's right to rule by saying Man did not require God's guidance.

Thank you for violating the rules. God bless you.Study the soil for a moment. It naturally produces weeds. No one plants them; no one waters them. They even stubbornly push through cracks of dry sidewalk. Millions of useless weeds sprout like there's no tomorrow, strangling our crops and ruining our lawns. Pull them out by the roots, and there will be more tomorrow. They are nothing but a curse!Consider how much of earth is uninhabitable. There are millions of square miles of barren deserts in Africa and other parts of the world. Most of Australia is nothing but miles and miles of useless desolate land. Not only that, but the earth is constantly shaken with massive earthquakes. Its shores are lashed with hurricanes; tornadoes rip though creation with incredible fury; devastating floods soak the land; and terrible droughts parch the soil. Sharks, tigers, lions, snakes, spiders, and disease-carrying mosquitoes attack humanity and suck its life's blood. The earth's inhabitants are afflicted with disease, pain, suffering, and death.Think of how many people are plagued with cancer, Alzheimer's, multiple sclerosis, heart disease, emphysema, Parkinson's, and a number of other debilitating illnesses. Consider all of the children with leukemia, or people born with crippling diseases or without the mental capacity to even feed themselves. All these things should convince thinking minds that something is radically wrong.Did God blow it when He created humanity? What sort of tyrant must our Creator be if this was His master plan?Sadly, many use the issue of suffering as an excuse to reject and thought of God, when its existence is the very reason we should accept Him. Suffering stands as terrible testimony to the truth of explanation given by the Word of God.But how can we know that the Bible is true? Simply by studying the prophecies of Matthew 24, Luke 21, and 2 Timothy 3. A few minutes of openhearted inspection will convince any honest skeptic that this is no ordinary book. It is the supernatural testament of our Creator about why there is suffering... and what we can do about it.The Bible tells us that God cursed the earth because of Adam's transgression. Weeds are a curse. So is disease. Sin and suffering cannot be separated. The Scriptures inform us that we live in a fallen creation. In the beginning, God created man perfect, and he lived in a perfect world without suffering. It was heaven on earth. When sin came into the world, death and misery came with it.Those who understand the message of Holy Scripture eagerly await a new heaven and a new earth wherein dwells righteousness. In that coming Kingdom there will be no more pain, suffering, disease, or death. We are told that no eye has ever seen, nor has any ear heard, neither has any man's mind ever imagined the wonderful things that God has in store for those who love Him (1 Corinthians 2:9). Think for a moment what it would be like if food grew with the fervor of weeds. Consider how wonderful it would be if the deserts became incredibly fertile, if creation stopped devouring humanity. Imagine if the weather worked for us instead of against us, if disease completely disappeared, if pain was a thing of the past, if death was no more. The dilemma is that we are like a child whose insatiable appetite for chocolate has cause his face to break out with ugly sores. He looks in the mirror and sees a sight that makes him depressed. But instead of giving up his beloved chocolate, he consoles himself by stuffing more into his mouth. Yet, the source of his pleasure is actually the cause of his suffering. The whole face of the earth is nothing but ugly sores of suffering. Everywhere we look we see unspeakable pain. But instead of believing God's explanation and asking Him to forgive us and change our appetite, we run deeper into sin's sweet embrace. There we find solace in it's temporal pleasures, thus intensifying our pain, both in this life and in the life to come.(Jon-Marc;11659)
Mankind has brought suffering upon itself by rejecting God and His commandments. That started in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and did what He said not to do. People have said we don't want Bible reading and prayer in our schools; we don't want the Ten Commandments displayed publicly; we don't want morality taught to our children; we don't want God to rule over us, and they have reaped just what they sowed. Then they have the audacity to blame God for giving them just what they wanted.
If you want to learn more about how God blesses us and loves us, then I'll be happy to tell you!

"Thank you for violating the rules. God bless you."How? By posting an honest question rather than jumping on the Christian bandwagon and repenting due to fear of eternal torment.Yeah, I read the bible and if you had read and comprehended my post (it wasn't as long as the bible) you'd realize I know the reason he has stated, I just do not believe it.It's the equivalent of allowing a child to play by the side of a busy street to teach him that it is in fact dangerous. If everyone here is like you, I doubt my topic will last very long. Here I'll state the question again:Why does a 5 year old boy get set on fire for a mistake made by 1 man over six thousand years ago?

Well, my post completely answered all of it. Now I have some questions for you. What do you believe in?

and repenting due to fear of eternal torment
We do not serve God because of fear of eternal torment. We serve God because He's giving us a way out of eternal torment with open arms and love. There is a side to Christianity that you probably don't know.
Why does a 5 year old boy get set on fire for a mistake made by 1 man over six thousand years ago?
It's not a mistake. It was Adam's fault that he gave into sin. And God had clearly stated the consequences before the sin was committed. You should be grateful that God had provided a way out of death! Now, don't make the same mistake as Adam. Find the Lord and get right with him.

I believe in a God, who that is and what his plan with us is I have not yet figured out, I was raised a Jehovah's Witness, but I'm no longer tied to that religion, or any religion for that matter.

Alright, so why does a 5 year old boy get set on fire for the sin of 1 man over six thousand years ago?I find it difficult to look past all this and "get right with him".

Alright. I take it that you're a smart young person. Thank you for sharing with us that you were once a Jehovah's Witness.A 5 year old boy gets set on fire because of the evil nature of man kind. It is because of the grace of God that the crime wasn't any worse. And God doesn't sit back and do nothing. That person will find his place in the lake of fire for his crime. God is a just judge. He isn't corrupt in any way. Because God is so good, He'll see to it that, that particular individual will be punished for it. Now you probably are thinking, "Why doesn't God kill that person on the spot for committing something so hideous!" Well, think about it. What is worse? The death of the flesh, or the death of the flesh and spirit.Matthew 10:28And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Now, let's say you were that person. You committed the crime. Then you saw the error in your ways. And you were truly sorry. You're feeling really bad about the crime. And you recognize that you will suffer eternally for this. So what is there to do? You're sick of your lifestyle and you want a better life. You plead to Jesus to forgive you for your sins. And Jesus erases your personal record. And when God pulls up your personal record, your crime will not be counted against you.It says in the Bible that God takes every sin seriously. He sees hate as murder. Lust as adultery. And something as small as stealing a paper clip as large as taking a child from a mother. Now, where do you find yourself compared to the 10 commandments. How do you think you'll do being judged by God?I have to go to sleep. I have church tomorrow. Now for your information. If you decide to become a Christian again, don't go with Jehovah's Witness. Their beliefs contradict that of what's in the Bible.

God gave us free will as a gift to choose whether we follow his way or evil. And the evil man that committed this awful sin will be punished. Would you think him a better God if you had no free will and we were all robots just doing as we were told??? Out of fear we would be instanly struck down??? would you call that a loving God???

wacca, you have a lot of insight for a 16 year old, i have to hand it to you=if i am reading your profile correctly. jerry=read the book of Job please. the question it posses is WHY DO I WORSHIP GOD? do i worship god because i want a blessing. that if i worship jesus i will be kept safe=i believe solomon points out that god blesses who he wants to for his glory. it is hard to understand how the lord could let some of these horrible things happen. but it all boils down to the choice we made in the garden. and remember, god does not gas people and commit indescribable atrocities, man does. do not be an adversary of god(jesus)going around looking for a reason not to believe. For if you do not believe that Jesus is just and holy you are in unbelief. god bless

Well with that attitude how did you expect to read anything different in the news. You are of the same free will and heart of the persons who committed such evil deeds. You, like them, want the free will to say what you want to say and do what you want to do. But you do not use that will to do the right thing. Are you saying God told you to attack him with lies? God says. " Thou shalt not kill." What part of that makes what they did his responsibility? He says " Love your neighbour as you love yourself." Do you think these persons in doing these things to these children would of wanted the same done to them? No! God clearly tells them what not to do. So how come when you choose to do something wrong, like your post, it suddenly becomes his fault for letting you.Should he have struck you down and them too. Grow up. No one made you post what you did and no one made them do these evil things. This is the reality of man who follows their own lusts and will. And if you do not listen to God or love him and your neighbour why do you expect different from those persons who like yourself have done wrong?Your own heart is telling you, you chose to do this post and like them no one is going to stop you, but one day God will hold you to account just as they will be. And these children they will have new life and the old things gone from memory. Revelation 21:4 & 27.(King James Version)4.And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.27.And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. These persons have already been judged and there punishment far more than you can imagine if they do not repent. God loved us that he sent his Son Jesus Christ to die for us for our sins. So the world you wish was here now we will one day live in. Do not fool yourself, there is only way, Jesus Christ. If you really care about yourself and these evils being diminished then give your life to Christ and start living in love. Be the example for others to follow.Faithful.

*sigh*First off, we all should go there, because of Adam's sin.I Corinthians 15:21 - For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But we are saved by grace of God, and not of works...Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. We are saved by His own blood...He washed sins with it.Revelation 1:5 - And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,John 19:30 - When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.Lovest thou in Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour.

I agree that burning in Hell forever is man's made teaching...The worst Hell we can have is the Lake of Fire, which is the death of the soul, which will cease to exist......Not to have the soul keep on screaming in pain asking God to let him out. They will cease to exist, nobody will remember them...My previous post wasn't meant that way, just giving a warning, because we sin...When we die, our spirit will go back to our Father, whom he gave it. Our body will be in the dust though.

No, Kriss. I have studied the Bible with JW for 6 months and I know they dont believe non-believers burning in hell forever.JW's problem is that only a few leaders control whole organization. They don't let any laypeople say anything and all members agree with that system. If you don't, you are out. That's why I did not join them.hitomi

what did jesus say about hell=it is eternal , and it is hell fire. look at the scriptures=you that do not believe in hell=mathew 5:22=thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. luke 10:15=and thou, capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell. i do not worship Jesus because i am afraid he will send me to hell, i worship jesus because he is holy and that without him i experience hell on earth!
