CHAPTER XXV.

Of the Church.

I. The catholic or universal Church, which is invisible, consists of the whole number of the elect, that have been, are, or shall be gathered into one, under Christ the Head thereof; and is the spouse, the body, the fulness of Him that fills all in all.
II. The visible Church, which is also catholic or universal under the Gospel (not confined to one nation, as before under the law), consists of all those throughout the world that profess the true religion; and of their children: and is the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ, the house and family of God, out of which there is no ordinary possibility of salvation.
III. Unto this catholic visible Church Christ has given the ministry, oracles, and ordinances of God, for the gathering and perfecting of the saints, in this life, to the end of the world: and does, by His own presence and Spirit, according to His promise, make them effectual thereunto.

Question 26: How doth Christ execute the office of a king?

]Answer: Christ executeth the office of a king, in subduing us to himself, in ruling and defending us, and in restraining and conquering all his and our enemies. ]

NKJ Psalm 110:3 Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.
NKJ Isaiah 33:22 (For the LORD is our Judge, The LORD is our Lawgiver, The LORD is our King; He will save us);[/

Yes, Christ is King. He reigns in me over the firstborn enemy of my old self. He conquers the Land and I inherit all in His Righteousness, the Gift of Eternal Life.

The notion that the catholic denomination is of God is all heresy coming from the unholy marriage of christianity with paganism and politics started up out of the 4th century under Constantine, and all its self promotion drivel has been dealt with long ago.

The Westminster Confession of Faith

WHY would you have to resort to some ancient Westminster Confession of Faith?! As I've said before, "Let God be true and EVERY man a liar!" I hold no more stock in this "Confession" than I do in the Communist Manifesto! The ONLY thing you've quoted that I would consider are the parts in green! Scriptures are the only things that carry any weight with me. I am NOT a catholic, and I DO NOT believe in a "universal church!" To the contrary, I believe in multiple, local congregations, and there's no such thing as a universal "Church!" It is a fallacy of the papal system to control people down through the years. It's the system of the Nicolaitans - "conquerors over the people!" Yeah, it was "dealt with long ago" through INQUISITIONS, BOOK BURNINGS, PERSECUTIONS of true believers, and BURNINGS AT THE STAKE! "Dealt with" indeed! SHAME - ETERNAL SHAME - on that SHAM known as the ancient "Catholic Church!" Those "ministry, oracles, and ordinances of God," were given to BELIEVERS, not to some faux organization! Yeshua` didn't "love and give Himself" for some organization! He loved and gave Himself for PEOPLE - INDIVIDUALS!

Now, about the verses chosen:
Psalm 110:3 has nothing to do with the church!

Psalm 110:1-7
110 1(0) A psalm of David:

(1) Adonai says to my Lord,
“Sit at my right hand,
until I make your enemies
your footstool.”

2 Adonai will send your powerful scepter
out from Tziyon,
so that you will rule over
your enemies around you.
3 On the day your forces mobilize,
your people willingly offer themselves
in holy splendors from the womb of the dawn (from the east);
the dew of your youth is yours.

4 Adonai has sworn it,
and he will never retract —
“You are a cohen forever,
to be compared with Malki-Tzedek.”

5 Adonai at your right hand
will shatter kings on the day of his anger.
6 He will pass judgment among the nations,
filling it with dead bodies;
he will shatter heads
throughout an extensive territory.
7 He will drink from a stream as he goes on his way;
therefore he will hold his head high.
CJB

Take Isaiah 33:22 in its context:

Isaiah 33:2-24
2 Adonai, show us mercy;
we have waited for you.
Be their arm every morning,
and our salvation in time of trouble.
3 At the sound of the tumult, the peoples wander off;
when you exalt yourself, the nations are scattered.
4 Your spoil is gathered as if stripped by shearer-worms;
they run over it like a swarm of locusts.

5 Adonai is exalted, for he dwells on high;
he has filled Tziyon with justice and right.
6 He will be the stability of your times,
a wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge,
and fear of Adonai, which is his treasure.

7 Hear their brave men crying out for help!
The envoys of peace weep bitterly.
8 The highways are deserted, there are no travelers.
He has broken the covenant, despised the cities;
he has no regard for human life.
9 The land is mourning and wilting away.
The L’vanon is withering with shame.
The Sharon has become like the ‘Aravah.
Bashan and Karmel have been shaken bare.

10 “Now I will arise,” says Adonai,
“Now I will exalt and lift myself up.
11 You conceive chaff and give birth to stubble,
your breath is a fire devouring you.
12 The peoples will be as if burned into lime,
like thorns cut off to burn in the fire.
13 You living far off, hear what I have done!
You who are near, acknowledge my strength!”

14 The sinners in Tziyon are frightened;
trembling has seized the ungodly.
“Who of us can live with the devouring fire?
Who of us can live with eternal burning?”
15 He whose life is right and whose speech is straight,
he who scorns getting rich by extortion,
he who shakes his hands free of bribes,
stops his ears against talk of bloodshed
and shuts his eyes against looking at evil.
16 Such a person will live on the heights,
his refuge a fortress among the cliffs,
his food and water in steady supply.

17 Your eyes will see the king in his beauty,
they will gaze on a land stretching into the distance.
18 Your mind will meditate on the terror:
“Where is the man who did the counting?
Where is the man who did the weighing?
Where is the man who numbered the towers?”
19 You will not see the intransigent people,
that people whose language is so obscure,
whose stuttering speech you cannot understand.

20 Look at Tziyon, the city of our festivals;
your eyes will see Yerushalayim a secure abode,
a tent that will not be removed,
whose pegs will never be pulled out
and whose guy-ropes will not be cut.
21 But there in his splendor Adonai will be with us,
in a place of rivers and broad streams.
But no boat with oars will go there,
no majestic ship will pass by.
22 For Adonai is our judge, Adonai is our lawgiver,
Adonai is our king. He will save us.
23 For your ropes are hanging loose,
not holding the mast, not spreading the sail.
Then the plunder shared out is so huge
that even the lame get part of the spoil.
24 No inhabitant will say, “I am ill”;
the people living there will be forgiven their sin.
CJB

This is not about that thing called the "church"; it's about ISRA'EL, particularly when ADONAI reigns through His Representative, Yeshua`, God's Messiah - God's Anointed to be King!

The verses are a little out of order, but also in the same prophecy, look at the 32:1 verse in context:

Isaiah 32:1-4
32:1 There is coming a king who will reign justly
and princes who will rule uprightly.
2 A man will be like a refuge from the wind,
like protection from a storm,
like streams of water on arid ground,
like a rock cliff shading a weary land.
3 The eyes of those seeing will not be closed,
the ears of those hearing will pay close attention.
4 The minds of the impetuous will learn to weigh carefully,
the tongues of the stutterers will speak readily and clearly.
CJB

And, finally, 1 Cor. 15:25 must also be taken in its context:

1 Corinthians 15:20-28
20 But the fact is that the Messiah has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have died. 21 For since death came through a man, also the resurrection of the dead has come through a man. 22 For just as in connection with Adam all die, so in connection with the Messiah all will be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: the Messiah is the firstfruits; then those who belong to the Messiah, at the time of his coming; 24 then the culmination, when he hands over the Kingdom to God the Father, after having put an end to every rulership, yes, to every authority and power. 25 For he has to rule until he puts all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be done away with will be death, 27 for “He put everything in subjection under his feet.” But when it says that “everything” has been subjected, obviously the word does not include God, who is himself the one subjecting everything to the Messiah. 28 Now when everything has been subjected to the Son, then he will subject himself to God, who subjected everything to him; so that God may be everything in everyone.
CJB

There are three resurrections mentioned in verses 23 and 24:
1) the Resurrection of the Messiah,
2) the Resurrection of those who belong to the Messiah AT HIS COMING BEFORE HE REIGNS, and then
3) the Resurrection at the culmination, when the Messiah HANDS OVER THE KINGDOM TO GOD THE FATHER, AFTER HAVING PUT AN END TO EVERY RULERSHIP.

Just because the PROPHECY quoted says "He put everything in subjection under His feet," as though it was already in the past, that's only from the perspective of the prophet DURING THE VISION! The prophecy from Paul here is that it is yet in the future!

No, the Messiah is NOT YET King, although He certainly deserves to be King, and we can own Him as our King, dedicating ourselves to be His devoted subjects when He arrives, but technically He is not the King, yet. He is haMashiach Elohiym = the Messiah of God = the Anointed of God = the One Selected by God TO BE King. HE is the firstborn, and HE will conquer the Land - the Land of Isra'el. You have an inheritance through Him, and have a down payment of the Ruach haQodesh (the Holy Spirit), but whatever you have today will be so augmented upon His arrival that you will be embarassed to admit that you thought you had it all before He came! Take joy in the expectations, and anticipate His soon arrival!

Revelation 11
3 And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth."
6 These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire. 7 When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.
9 Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. 10 And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.

Isiah 24
[background=rgb(246, 246, 152)]1 Behold, the Lord makes the earth empty and makes it waste, Distorts its surface And scatters abroad its inhabitants. [/background]
2 And it shall be: As with the people, so with the priest; As with the servant, so with his master; As with the maid, so with her mistress; As with the buyer, so with the seller; As with the lender, so with the borrower; As with the creditor, so with the debtor.
3 The land shall be entirely emptied and utterly plundered, For the Lord has spoken this word.
4 The earth mourns and fades away, The world languishes and fades away; The haughty people of the earth languish.
5 The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants, Because they have transgressed the laws, Changed the ordinance, Broken the everlasting covenant.
6 Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, And those who dwell in it are desolate. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, And few men are left.

Jeremiah 25
30 "Therefore prophesy against them all these words, and say to them: 'The Lord will roar from on high, And utter His voice from His holy habitation; He will roar mightily against His fold. He will give a shout, as those who tread the grapes, Against all the inhabitants of the earth.
31 A noise will come to the ends of the earth-- For the Lord has a controversy with the nations; He will plead His case with all flesh. He will give those who are wicked to the sword,' says the Lord."
32 Thus says the Lord of hosts: "Behold, disaster shall go forth From nation to nation, And a great whirlwind shall be raised up From the farthest parts of the earth.
33 And at that day the slain of the Lord shall be from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They shall not be lamented, or gathered, or buried; they shall become refuse on the ground.
34 "Wail, shepherds, and cry! Roll about in the ashes, You leaders of the flock! For the days of your slaughter and your dispersions are fulfilled; You shall fall like a precious vessel.
35 And the shepherds will have no way to flee, Nor the leaders of the flock to escape.
36 A voice of the cry of the shepherds, And a wailing of the leaders to the flock will be heard. For the Lord has plundered their pasture,
37 And the peaceful dwellings are cut down Because of the fierce anger of the Lord.

Please keep to topic.

This is the topic. since the Kingdom is here on earth, ushered in by the lords two witnesses and the second coming of Christ. All of these prophecies will still come to pass prior to the coming of His Kingdom on earth.

LOL! ROFL! Did I EVER say He wasn't MY King??!!! I own Him as My King before He comes to BE the King! Don't make the mistake that so many do that Yeshua` is CURRENTLY haMelekh (the King) as promised to the Jews in the prophecies! He WILL rule and reign forever, and of His Kingdom there WILL BE no end. That is promised by Gavri'el to the maid Miryam in Luke 1:30-33.

The mistake some of us have made down through the last two millennia is WHEN shall He BECOME King?

For most of the kings of Y'hudah, the firstborn son of the reigning king was BORN to be the next king. Yeshua`, too, was born to be the next King of the Jews and then of all Isra'el through the course of time. It is also prophesied that He will be the King of kings - that is, He will become a King to kings - other rulers of other countries will look to Him for their orders, for their blessings, for their profits, through HIS benevolence and guidance. He IS a wiser than Shlomo (Solomon)! And, He shall reign until His last enemy is subdued.

One can be "subdued" in basically one of two ways: One can say, "Uncle!" and knuckle under the stronger, better man without getting hurt, OR one can continue to fight until he is physically BEATEN by the stronger, better man. Rulers, too, fall into those two categories. Some countries and kingdoms will be READY to knuckle under the Messiah of God right away; others may be convinced that His way is better with time; others may have to be conquered; but still others will fight to the death. This all TAKES TIME to accomplish, even for the Messiah, who will not "quench a smoking wick or break off a bent reed," but "let nature take its course!" That's why it will take a THOUSAND years for Him to reign on earth until all of His enemies are subdued.

BUT, He hasn't STARTED, yet! His Kingdom is NOT "in the hearts of men!" His KINGDOM is as LITERAL and as POWERFUL as any of the empires that have gone before! His Kingdom will best Babylon, Persia, Macedonia, Rome, the British Empire, and even the greatest expansionism of the USA as the greatest World Empire of all!

Get out of this supercilious, superstitious, "spiritual" (falsely so-called) mentality that His "Kingdom" is accomplished INVISIBLY in the hearts of men! You won't find that in Scripture (unless the Scripture is MANGLED)!

This has been going on for 2000 years now lol. You just need to know how to read the Words of the Spirit. They are hidden to the lost. They are open to the saved...

Jesus has been sending out His witnesses "two by two" for 2000 years now, men walking in his death and resurrection. Men living the crucifixion in their flesh, men living the resurrection in their flesh. Men preaching salvation in Christ, a message hated by the enemy of the masses of non-believers. It is all about "witnessing".
Now.
To Day.

It isn't some "future" thing. That is only the trap that false prophets fall into.

Peace

Retro, you "futurize" the King. A great error. A ploy of the judahizers seeking to destroy the gospel.

Jesus has been ruling and reigning as King starting 2000 years ago exactly as promised by the prophets, exactly as promised to Abraham. All has been fulfilled in Him as we are saved. THIS is what the King does is save. Of His Kingdom there will be no end.
If you don't see that, then Jesus is not your Christ and is not your King.
If you are looking for something you can "see" to prove it, look at yourself to see if you've RECEIVED Him or not. THEN you will know whether He is your King or Not. If He IS NOW your King, you will then stop saying it is "future".
"Christ in you, the hope of Glory".
Is Christ IN YOU?
If yes, He reigns as your King.
If you haven't received Him, He is not your King.
There is nothing else to 'wonder' about. That is the fulness of the Law and the Prophets.
Simple.

(Mat 21:5) Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
(Luk 19:38) Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
(Joh 12:13) Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
(Joh 12:14) And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
(Joh 12:15) Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.
(Joh 12:16) These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.
(Joh 19:14) And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
(1Ti 1:17) Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
(Heb 7:2) To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
(Heb 7:3) Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
(Act 17:7) Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.
(Rev 19:16) And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
(1Co 15:25) For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

LOL! You really tickle me, man! I ask you for Scriptural proof, and you say "look at yourself!" Do you know how silly that is?!

Okay, let me assure you the best I know how. I am born again by the Ruach haQodesh Elohiym, the Holy Spirit of God. He has taken my sin and applied it to Yeshua` and Yeshua`s death has paid for my sin in total! He became my sin, and I became the righteousness of God in Him. Thus, the exchange (reconciliation) has been made and that for all time. I have been declared righteous by God, in spite of my sin, just as God declared His own Son "my sin," in spite of His righteousness, on the Cross. Therefore, I have been justified by God through faith and trust in Him according to His promise and through the Sacrificial Offering of the body of God's Son upon that Cross. He is my Paschal Lamb. However, it is called the Justification by God, not "salvation." And, I'm going to say it, regardless what you think of it: I am a sinner saved by grace, saved through blood, and saved by faith. That is, I am no longer just a sinner; I am a sinner-saved-by-grace, and I have been redeemed at great price.

Secondly, it is NOT a "great error" to "futurize the King" when the Scriptures point us to a future reigning of the King! (Is "futurize" even a real word?) To the contrary, the error would be to disagree with the Scriptures and "presentize" the King! (If you can make up a word, then so can I.)

I find it ironic and somewhat disturbing for you to use all NT verses in your quotes above. What's the matter? Do you have an AVERSION to the OT? You quoted Matthew 21:5, which is really a quotation from the Tanakh (the OT):

Zechariah 9:9
9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
KJV

Then, you quote Luke 19:38, which is the parallel passage to Matthew 23:39 and is ALSO a quote from the Tanakh:

Psalm 118:22-26
22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
23 This is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
25 Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.
KJV

Then, you quote John 12:13-16 which is Yochanan's version of the same incident!

John 12:12-19
12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.
16 These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.
17 The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.

18 For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.
19 The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.
KJV

John 12:12-19
12 The next day, the large crowd that had come for the festival heard that Yeshua was on his way into Yerushalayim. 13 They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting,

“Deliver us!”
Blessed is he who comes in the name of Adonai, the King of Isra’el!”

14 After finding a donkey colt, Yeshua mounted it, just as the Tanakh says —

15 “Daughter of Tziyon, don’t be afraid!
Look! your King is coming,
sitting on a donkey’s colt.”

16 His talmidim did not understand this at first; but after Yeshua had been glorified, then they remembered that the Tanakh said this about him, and that they had done this for him. 17 The group that had been with him when he called El‘azar out of the tomb and raised him from the dead had been telling about it. 18 It was because of this too that the crowd came out to meet him — they had heard that he had performed this miracle. 19 The P’rushim said to each other, “Look, you’re getting nowhere! Why, the whole world has gone after him!”
CJB

Did you know that the words in Psalm 118:25, translated here in the Complete Jewish Bible as "Deliver us," are the Hebrew words "Howshiy`aah naa'?" They mean, "Rescue us! Now!" as if to say, "HELP!" They were transliterated into the Greek as "Hosanna!" It's not a word that means "Praise the Lord" or "Glory to God," as so many teach!

In all of these quotations, you failed to realize that neither the Jews nor the cohaniym (priests), who were SUPPOSED to accept Him as their King, DID NOT! To the contrary, over the next couple of days, they took the people from wondering, "Who is this?" to "Crucify Him!" ONLY THE DISCIPLES AND THE CHILDREN welcomed Him, as all the people, especially the elders, should have done!

Then you quote PILATE in John 19:14?! As the Roman governor, that would have been a DIG - a TURNING OF THE SCREWS - to the Jews!

For 1 Timothy 1:17, you must look at the entire context:

1 Timothy 1:1-2:6
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
KJV

If one will be honest, he or she will note that Paul spoke INDEPENDENTLY of God the Father and the Messiah Yeshua`! Thus, verse 17 doesn't speak of the Messiah; it is about GOD THE FATHER!

Hebrews 7:1-28
1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
7 And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
9 And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
10 For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
20 And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:
21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
KJV

The author of Hebrews for Hebrews 7:2-3 is not relating the Son of God's kingship to Malkhiy-Tsedeq; he is relating Malkhiy-Tsedeq's continual priesthood to that of the Son of God!

Acts 17:1-10
17:1 After passing through Amphipolis and Apollonia, Sha’ul and Sila came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue. 2 According to his usual practice, Sha’ul went in; and on three Shabbats he gave them drashes from the Tanakh, 3 explaining and proving that the Messiah had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and that “this Yeshua whom I am proclaiming to you is the Messiah.” 4 Some of the Jews were persuaded and threw in their lot with Sha’ul and Sila, as did a great many of the Greek men who were “God-fearers,” and not a few of the leading women.
5 But the unbelieving Jews grew jealous; so they got together some vicious men from the riffraff hanging around in the market square, collected a crowd and started a riot in the city. They attacked Jason’s house, hoping to bring Sha’ul and Sila out to the mob. 6 But when they didn’t find them, they dragged Jason and some other brothers before the city authorities and shouted, “These men who have turned the whole world upside down have come here too! 7 And Jason has let them stay in his home! All of them are defying the decrees of the Emperor; because they assert that there is another king, Yeshua!” 8 Their words threw the crowd and the authorities into a turmoil, 9 so that only after Jason and the others had posted bond did they let them go. 10 But as soon as night fell, the brothers sent Sha’ul and Sila off to Berea.
CJB

However, this was purported by dissidents to Paul's message! And, they were purposely saying this to stir up trouble with the Emperor of Rome! That means that they were NOT reporting correctly what Sha'ul's message was! This is NOT a good verse to use to support your view!

Revelation 19:11-21
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
KJV

I've never had a problem with this passage because this has always been at the END of the tribulation and the BEGINNING of the Millennium when the Messiah Yeshua` returns and BEGINS to reign!

1 Corinthians 15:20-28
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
KJV

CJB

So, finally, this passage is about the resurrections. There are THREE talked about in this passage:
1) The resurrection of the Messiah, which happened early in the first century,
2) The resurrection of those who belong to the Messiah, which will occur at the time of His Coming, the BEGINNING of the Millennium, and
3) The resurrection at the culmination, which will occur at the END of the Millennium, when the Messiah hands over the Kingdom to God the Father.

It's not that one needs "to know how to read the Words of the Spirit." It's that one needs to learn how to divide the Word of Truth rightly!

26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

KJV

I didn't read anything after your first sentence, as it couldn't be worth any more than your first sentence. Bye.

Rev 11:15
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever."
(KJV)

I wish someone would ask The LORD why He has failed to accomplish what He said there, IF... indeed today all the kingdoms of this world today have now become His, and He is reigning over them now!?!

Those who believe that has happenned already should start with nations like Iran, Syria, Communist Russia, Communist China, Communist Cuba, Communist North Korea, India, Pakistan, Iraq, Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and most of all... the state of ISRAEL.
