Matthew 6:19-21 (King James Version) 19Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. How do we labour for that we cannot see? That is everlasting?
When a child I had the most care free time enjoying playing and doing things with my sisters and brothers always taking for granted the love and care of our parents watching over us. It was never about money or the things we had. But the time we talked, laughed and shared doing things together.I have joy in loving and caring for my own children and meeting with friends and taking care of them. We can work all our lives for big cars and houses but we can also be alone and have no one to share them with and they become just statements of what we have worked so hard for, with no friends and hardly any family life.Jesus said," What good does it do a man if he gaineth the whole world but loseth his soul." Jesus promises us life in all it's fullness. A life in all fullness is a life spent putting the Lord God at the centre of our universe and not the world or self. When you do this you will find spiritual treasures and pleasires in your own life. But more importantly it will equip you for when you finally go to be with the Lord.Love is eternal and is fruitful.Love Faithful. xx
