That's is as Ludicrous as ever.

Catholic religion is full of Paganism. The First Catholic was Constantine who was a Pagan and kept the Pagan ways but adopted a few Christian beliefs in order to being them altogether. It's all mixed. It's Pseudo Pagan under the name of Christianity. Through Constantine Rome became good little Christians in 324 a.d. Of course they tell it was started with Peter in the first century. Lies, lies and more lies.

Christ-mass >
Easter > Istar worship of the fertility goddess
Priest & Nunns & not marrying >
worship of Mother with child >
Halloween, All saints day >
Hell doctrine > False doctrine of a literal eternal burning HELL
Is all Paganism brought in by the Catholic church and much of the junk came straight from Babylonian religion.
there is nothing Holy about the RC church'
It is the greatest fraud in the christian world and full of lies and deceit.

Yes both are influenced by the Paganism that is prevalent in the RC church.

I'm very non-traditional and not in either camp.
Both are so blind.

I see where you refuse to read the article presented, why not? You will read your anti-Catholic garbage written by ex- uneducated catholics, heretics, bigots, and anti-catholics, but you refuse to read the truth of Catholicism written by real Catholics, why is that?

I know the truth the Catholics present, I come from a family that once made pilgrimages to Rome and probably helped to murder nice little protestants that refused to accept the Pope as the phoney vicar of Christ that he is. I know the truth and the truth is the Catholic religion is a false religion full of Paganism and Blasphemy arrayed in purple garments & holding the golden cup of Revelations 17..

I suggest you visit & read here >>> www.bereanbeacon.org
Read what many, many ex-Priest and Nunns have to say about the RC church.

I know many Catholics who have left the RC church and the further they get from her he more knowledge they gain.
Eastern Orthodox has better doctrines which just peeves the Popes.

If the truth offends you I may apologize but I won't retract it.
May your eyes be opened for the truth shall set you free

That is not quite a fair statement. Others brought up the Catholic slant first with incorrect comments.

Did you miss Mr Rosenbergers post?.

God never kicked Israel out of the land. he kicked the poor fools out that were not of Israel, but a stupid God less bunch of fools. and gave that land to who ? because ?

Israel is the Catholic Church by inheritance. remember when Jesus Christ came ? who followed him ?

And his Name is Jesus Christ in English !
These things are not biblical at all.

Actually, if you will look back, your post #3 is what starts the whole "God/Gad" proper name of God thing, which escalates. Post #1 & 2 were on topic.

How can you reject what i said Isreal.
It is totally true as the fact is Israel is the people of God and the people of God ( the true people of God, not a race. ) never reject God at all and never ever have. those who rejected God were vomited out of the land.
What you are on about is only the tribe's, as the fact is the OT clearly shows this and the NT brings it to light.
Some like to worship just a people and that is Idolatry.

Actually you threw the Catholic garbage in there from out of the blue.

I answered the OP questions truthfully but you people don't have eyes to see.

Me? I haven't mention the RCC at all...that was you. Besides, that was not what I was strickly referring to...it was your rather insistent need to address the correct title for God that derailed the thread. Stop it please.

And since you seem intent on mistaking me, here is the layout of what has occurred...you will note I don't mention the Catholic church at all:

"Yeshua"
"YHWH Elohim"
Etc.

First off, look in the Strong's Concordance. Jesus is a Hebrew name, it's of Hebrew origin.

Second, Exodus 34:14 says His name is JEALOUS.

Third, He's also called, Shiloh "The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. (Genesis 49:10 KJV)"

Fourth, "I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. (Psalm 138:2 KJV)"
His WORD is magnified above all his name.

You also seem to be missing, people called Him Lord, Master, Teacher. He is called Good Shephard, Physician, etc.

Last, "How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain. The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the Lord; and what wisdom is in them? (Jeremiah 8:8, 9 KJV)"

Notice, they rejected the law of the Lord, and the word of the Lord. Makes no reference to the name, but the law and His word. Israel was backslidden, forsaking the commandments of their God, etc.

---------------------------------------

On topic, what of this?

The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable. (Isaiah 42:21 KJV)

He magnified His Law (10 commandments), keeping the 10 commandments, showing the spiritual application, etc.

Not to mention the whole sacrificial system pointed to the Final Sacrifice, and the sanctuary pointing to the Christians walk.

Jesus is not a Hebrew name. There is no "J" in Hebrew.
Judah was written Y'udah in Hebrew.

Remember Yeshua said "Mat 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
Lord is BAAL. YHWH did not approve of that name and neither did the son of man, Yeshua.

Notice, they rejected the law of the Lord, and the word of the Lord. Makes no reference to the name, but the law and His word. Israel was backslidden, forsaking the commandments of their God, etc.
Wrong you failed this little exercise.
The Name YHWH was changed by King James Men over 7000 times to Lord(Baal).

It was not originally written as Lord anywhere in Hebrew Scriptures..
You people are serving BAAL and GAD in ignorance because of the trickery of Satans children.
Drop the corrupt KJV and look at the concordance.

Blessings.

"Shiloh" and "Jealous" seems to have been ignored. Are these wrong as well? Jealous has a "J" in it, so is this Satanic as well? Here's a question for you. Since the Bible is written in english (even older english) are we now in trouble for using english? Do we have to speak in only the "Latin tongue" as the Roman Catholic Mass is starting to do again? Do we have to learn the original language, as some Islamics do? So why is it, when names change, languages change, that people are persecuted for the non-use of the original name? If words change with language, don't names change with language?

Strong's Concordance says the name Jesus is of Hebrew Origin. (Word number 2424). It also says this:

"Jesus = "Jehovah is salvation"

1) Jesus, the Son of God, the Saviour of mankind, God incarnate
2) Jesus Barabbas was the captive robber whom the Jews begged Pilate to release instead of Christ
3) Joshua was the famous captain of the Israelites, Moses' successor (Ac. 7:45, Heb. 4:8)
4) Jesus, son of Eliezer, one of the ancestors of Christ (Lu. 3:29)
5) Jesus, surnamed Justus, a Jewish Christian, an associate with Paul in the preaching of the gospel (Col. 4:11)"

About : "But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. (Matthew 23:8 KJV)"

Yes, one is your master, and? Christ is your master. So, tell me, why call Him anything else besides "Christ"?

Jeremiah 8:8 out of context does not substantiate your point.

Gentlemen, take the discussion of names elsewhere, or I will be forced to close this thread...which let's face it, would be very rude for the person who began it in the hope of real conversation.

In Genesis 18, Abraham in his tent door looks up, and sees three men. One of them was Christ. The other two were the two angels He sent to Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah per the next Gen.19 chapter.

In Daniel 3, Nebuchadnezzar saw 4 men in the hot firey furnace. One of the 4 was Christ.

I wanted to read about the prophesys about the Messiah in the old testament, here is an example Micah5:2"But thou Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of judah, yet out of thee shall come forth unto me that is to be ruler in israel;whose goings forth have been from old, from everlasting".

The 2 verses you mentioned are really not prophesys,The relationship between God and Abraham, would make for a good topic on another thread,I have often wondered why God loved Abraham so much.

The life of Joseph who was raised up in Egypt has many parallels (types and shadows) of Jesus Christ.

The title of this thread makes no distinction between OT prophecy about Christ's coming and His literal appearance in OT times. If the subject was to only be about OT Scripture about Christ's advents, then that would cover most of the OT Scriptures as a whole. A truly learned Christian believer should be able to see The Gospel of Jesus Christ in just about every Book of the Old Testament, for it is there.
