The third seal

" And I beheld and, lo, a black horse;and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midts of the four living creatures say," A measure of wheat for a denarius, and three measures of barley for a denarius, and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine."

Don't blow up the oil wells!
The color black is symbolic of being "dirty or bad." The pair of balances may shed some light on the riders identity and the event associated with it. "See thou hurt not the oil and the wine," may have hidden meanings regarding the mark of the beast as well as famine.

"Behold the yoke!"
In Vines expository dictionary, balances is in Greek, '' zugos.'' This is what he say's. " A yoke, also has the meaning of a pair of scales. Serving to couple two things together, is used (metaphorically,(a) of submission to authority, Matt.11 ; 29, 30, (of bondage Acts 15 :10 and Gal.5 ; 1 © of bondservice to masters, 1 Timothy 6 : 1 and (2) to denote a balance. Rev 6: 5."

The "yoke" or "balances" means bondage.
This could be a yoke imposed by the man of sin upon the Arab/Islamic world.

This could be...Nebuchadnezzar's Yoke of Iron

Or...
It could be the coming yoke by an Arab alliance in Psalm 83 or Ezekiel 38-39. There is yoke imposed by the antichrist who is refered to as "the King of Babylon." Isaiah 10:23-27 14:24-27 47:6 Jeremiah 30:7-8, Nahum 1:12-14. Many of these references are to the "king of Babylon." Isaiah 10:5, 10:24, 14:25, 30:31-33, Micah 5:5-6 also depicts this final evil one as an Assyrian i.e. the king of Babylon!.

27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and
his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

Psalm 83:1-6. Keep not thou silence,O God; hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God, For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult, and they that hate thee have lifted up the head, They have taken crafty council against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones, They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel be no more in rememberance. For they have consulted together with one consent; they are confederate against thee: The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ish'maelites; of Moab, and the Hag'arenes; Gebal, and Amon, and Am'alek; The Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assyria also is joined with them; they have helped the children of lot.

A confederacy to destroy the mighty men and the Holy People is coming. Thus you have the results of "the yoke!" And soon, the Jews will mourn for the One they have pierced.
