on my blog at blogger com called illuminator shines, we want to know God, I am about halfway through with the study on Exodus. several more are ready to be added. If you want to be amazed at what is in the bible you don't want to miss it. God is helping find these things which are hid to the natural eye. I desire that through it you will be blessed and encouraged in your faith.

Example from ch.1: Ex. 1:22 all children put to death by Pharaoh. Moses by the water saved. by the Nile nearby.
Matt.2:16 all children 2 and under put to death by Herod. by the water coasts of Bethlehem. why not just say Bethlehem only?

It's a symbol of the church. Children are Christians put to death by Pharoah who represents the world controlled by Satan. Jesus is saved.

Children are Christian again, put to death by Herod the world controlled by Satan. Because Bethlehem has to do with Israel, and this has to do with the entire world.

In Christ,

M

Some people are listening. I hope you're encouraged. ;)

P.S. I'm going to check out your blog.

Well we know herod and pharoah were both possed by evil when they commited their atrocities of murdering children.

but we see a few chapters later this verseMatthew3:11 " I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than i ,whose shoes i am not worthy to bear:he shall baptize with the holy ghost and fire:

In the bible water is used to wash away evil,we see that in the great flood, and its use in baptism.

Hi brodav9 and all,

You might be interested in this presentation by Winkie Pratney, called 'Contract on Children', which looks at the spiritual reality.

There's also an interesting book written by a Swedish brother, whom the Lord burdened to investigate the route of the exodus. The photographs are amazing, as well as the narrative of how the Lord spoke to him and arranged for him to make the necessary trip. It's quite expensive unless you can pick up a used copy: The Exodus Case: New Discoveries Confirm the Historical Exodus by Lennart Moller

Youtube has quite a few clips and uploaded tv programmes about the exodus, of which this is one: The Search for the Red Sea Crossing. The Red Sea crossing is of interest, because of the Egyptian army artefacts which can be found there, and, because many modern Bibles don't acknowledge the crossing of the Red Sea at the Gulf of Aqaba, where it actually took place. (My old Eyre and Spottiswoode Bible map has it marked.) Most maps in Bibles today, show Mt Horeb (Sinai) incorrectly situated on 'the Sinai Peninsula'. The mountain is actually fenced and guarded day and night, and is in a country where it is illegal to possess a Bible, wear or display a cross, or to talk about Christ sympathetically.

There are no water coasts near Bethlehem. Bethlehem is inland. Coasts in this context (horion) could also be used as a boundary line or frontier or region. In other words, Herod slew all the children in Bethlehem and throughout his frontier or throughout the region.

Thanks for your desire to help in the Geographical area of Bethlehem.

I do think it is interesting that Jesus went into Egypt under the same circumstances which Moses was under, to draw attention to Egypt instead of another place.
This time Jesus is safe there instead. I hope everyone is enjoying this remarkable study, and yes I do want to be accurate.

Thanks Dragonfly for your link help. Every once in a while there are other things to bless there when Moses is not spoken of . It is rare though. It is amazing the duplicates Jesus performed in following the picture of Jesus through Moses. For those who like challenges, read ahead of me in chap. 40:
I won't tell the surprise yet but if you find it you'll start dancing and praising God. Perhaps it is one of the greatest finds in the whole bible (one of). God bless you bible diggers.

For Prince, it is very difficult to lock down all the spiritual picture. Though the Israelites were not the church, they were the congregation of God. The wedding of the people to God (in betrothal) applies in picture but not the way we can put it together.
Jesus issue was to change the peoples to be free from Mosaic law unto grace, if you get a hold of that you have a big part of the picture. The Issue with Jesus is to show he is the God who is there as the angel of the Lord--pre incarnate Christ.

Jesus is always God, but had to put on flesh to die on the cross. The reason the bible is so hard at times to understand is God hid these things or they would never have sent him to the cross. his purpose was to have a Jew get saved through Jesus and then the vail would be removed from their eyes.

We must be careful of any private interpretation of the bible. We cannot add to or take from it.
If we have permission to go beyond Pharaoh as Satan and Egypt as the world, We certainly can see persecution of God's people. The point in Exodus is truly a past tense item. That means We are delivered from the world and Satan already.
That is what salvation is. The bondage there is representing sin, but might apply to a secondary prophetical significance. That would mean a the time we are in where Satan comes after us. Rev. 12: 4. the manchild here cannot be Christ, for everything in the book of Revelation from ch.4-22 is future. ch.1-3 are past. even ch. 1-3 are after the cross it is even after Pentecost.

Also the 12 stars couldn't be The 12 tribes of Israel because Joseph died natural death and so there would be only 11. They the 12 stars are also future. Satan is going to come after the Christians , just before the rapture to try to devour them. it is because they refuse some things, for they are total loyal to Christ.

Here is one example, the christian who believes only in healing by faith , is standing against laws to support manditory medical insurance policies by Obama. God will deliver us some how.

In my house
The Old Testament foreshadows the New Testament. There are many parallels between the Old and the New Testaments.

1. Old Testament: Children were killed by Pharaoh as Moses escaped the massacre.
New Testament: Children were killed by King Herod as Jesus escaped the massacre.

2. Old Testament: The Israelites were taken out of slavery from Egypt.
New Testament: Christ came out of Egypt.

3. Old Testament: The Israelites crossed the Red Sea, which became a baptism (See 1 Corinthians 10:2).
New Testament: Christ was baptized at the Jordan River.

4. Old Testament: Moses and the Israelites entered the desert and Moses fasted for 40 days (See Exodus 34:28)
New Testament; Christ went into the desert and fasted for 40 days.

5. Old Testament: Moses was given the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai.
New Testament: On the Sermon on the Mount, Christ expounded and fulfilled the Ten Commandments.

6. Old Testament: In the desert, the Israelites were tempted three times.
New Testament: In the desert, Christ was tempted by Satan three times.

7. Old Testament: To reach the promised land, the Israelites had to battle 7 nations.
New Testament: At the cross, Christ died and resurrected, conquering death and the 7 deadly sins of mankind so that mankind can be redeemed and reach the real promised land, which is God's kingdom.

In all this, it is comforting to know that God was with His chosen people all that time, even when they thought He was not there.
