In Colossians 4:16 Paul implies that he wrote a letter from Laodicea. That letter seems to have been lost. 1 Corinthians 5:9 references a letter Paul wrote to the Corinthians before 1 Corinthians. So it seems that 1 Corinthians was really his second letter to them. Some argue that 2 Corinthians 2:3-4 also refers to a letter that has been lost to the ages, though that one might be referring to 1 Corinthians. In any case, the other references make it clear that not every word written down by Paul was scripture. Heck, he was a very literate guy. He might have written down one of his mother's recipes on a papyrus, but that wouldn't make it scripture.

I'll pray for you Strat, because your need to be rude and offensive to other people like this tells me that you are in desperate need of prayer. To tell another Christian he has no problem with leading people to Hell is actually to hurl offence at God's own children and, perhaps, the Holy Spirit Himself. You seem to think that is great sport. But these remarks you make say far more about the darkness in your own soul than they do about the people you judge and insult. Think about that, and perhaps pray about it. I sure will.

You are a typical modern christian, you think that anyone who claims to be a christian can do or say anything, you say i need prayer but people leading others to Hell through heresy and false doctrine are God's own children,it is because of people like you who encourage and give refuge to false teachers and teachng and are responsable for the falling away that we see....you need prayer for that.I know and lived Mormonism for the first 20 years of my life while you know nothing about it except that they seem like nice folks which is all you care about...you call darkness light and get your shorts in a twist and judge because somebody else see's it for what it is....you and your kind will not escape the Hell you lead others into either directly or indirectly...like the bible says let all those who preach another gospel be damned.

Quote:
Shortly after Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney enjoyed cookies and soft drinks with the Rev. Billy Graham and his son Franklin Graham on Thursday at the elder Graham's mountaintop retreat, a reference to Mormonism as a cult was scrubbed from the website of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

I think this is a comprimise of princables. Its a sad day when church leaders remove long held teachings for the sake of an election.
Just wondering what the opinions of others are about this topic?

Every incorporated church in america has been given a seat by the beast. What then does it matter what they do?

Every incorporated church, that's a big statement.
God is usually displeased with those that compromise. I think you can find some examples in the bible.

As for what does it matter? Ask David, or Mosses, by wisdom kings reign, I'll leave you to think it over.

To whom much is given much is required

To become incorporated is in and of itself a crime against God. But not unforgivable. As long as they come out from among them and be separate and do not touch what is unclean God will still receive them. repentance is required. But as long as they are serving the beast, no matter who's name they are doing it in, they are dead and will remain dead until they repent and believe the gospel.

Jesus has other plans for us.

The plan of Jesus for all is to trust in him for our salvation and him only,to forsake all lies and liars, false teachers and their followers,to not be swayed, influenced or taken in by their soft soothing words delivered to itching ears belonging to people who want to feel good about themselves...who make their emotions their god.....their feelings and desires which the bible has already told us are evil and vain apart from the truth of God.

Stat, your insults continue to be offensive, off base, uncalled for, unwelcome, and highly unchristian. Now, unlike you, I do not judge other people but I certainly do judge actions. Yours are embarrassing coming from someone who is a follower of Christ. I do fear for you because I have rarely seen such caustic vitriol coming from someone who states they are a Christian. Rather than get to know me, the kind of Christian I am (and at least two of your administrator/members here have experience with me for a number of years), you prefer to damn me. On most boards I've participated on you would not even be here based on your insultive behavior toward others. I guess Christianityboard.com allows such behavior. I came here in good faith, but I find myself recoiling it and staying away precisely because of behavior like yours. Hey, it's their board, they can run it however they want. But your behavior is shameful, and I'm tired of being your punching bag. Find some weaker Christian to pick on. You are a holier-than-thou bully, and I don't stand for such treatment nicely.

I am not responsable for your emotions James and i am under no obligation to censor myself for your benefit, your definition of both insult and offensive is anything you don't like...and i can certainly tell you that your presence here has never had any influence on whether i come here or not....sorry i carry that much importance in your life because it's certainly not mutual.

I have and will continue to say as long as i am allowed to that false religion and doctrine pointing to anything or anyone other than Jesus sends people to Hell...why not tell what you know about Mormonism, which is probably nothing other than they are nice people who dress well and mow their lawn regularly...which is about all you care about because everything is about how it makes James feel and little else.

The tactics of the emotional manipulator you employ are well known...somebody is saying something you don't like so they have to go because it is the first responsability of eveyone to only say things you like to keep your fragile emotions in check...you say you know people, then attempt to shame them for allowing me to be here and suggest that the board would be able to enjoy so much more of your pious platitudes, valuable insight, wisdom and profound knowledge if this menace    wasn't here....such drama James  ......such drama.....your shot at victimhood didn't work either.

Having lived amoung man Mormons for the last 12 years I agree with Mr. Grahm taking them off the cult list. I believe most of them are just as saved as your average baptist.

And I agree with that. We just don't know how God is going to judge people involved in religions like Mormonism and the JW's etc. Salvation is found in Christ and not in religion.

I'm happy to see that 'strat' is gone!
