Hamas: Assassination is a declaration of war

The assassination of top Hamas leader Ahmed Jabari is a declaration of war, Fawzi Barhoum, a spokesman for the Islamist movement, said Wednesday.

Barhoum's statement came as Hamas's armed wing, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, vowed to avenge the killing of its commander.

Praying for the Middle East and to bring the peace that they need. As really the real terror is there. As it is often overlooked for Afghanastan and Iraq. As hopefully peace will come in that part of the world! :(

In your opinion. Glad that was cleared up.

I posted an excerpt from the Jerusalem Post and there was nothing "anti-semetic" or "pro Hamas" about it.

Please quote me where I said any such thing. I'll wait.

Back on topic...

Inner cabinet meets to discuss possible Gaza ceasefire

Israel diplomatic and security cabinet met late Monday night to discuss latest cease-fire initiatives, as international leaders continued to press for an end to Gaza hostilities.

Israel had agreed to briefly hold off on sending ground forces into Gaza, to allow time for cease-fire efforts in Cairo to continue, an Israeli official told The Jerusalem Post on Monday.

“Israel prefers a diplomatic solution,” the official said. But he added that any agreement must provide a real solution that would erase the threat of rocket attacks against Israel’s southern residents.

Sifting the wheat from the chaff
I suggest you purchase a winnowing fork
And use it for more than just news sources

you may have to sift bushels and bushels but it all becomes meaningless,
by removing the mountain of chaff from the treasure you seek, you find that pearl of truth

I don't know what to pray concerning Israel. Of course I pray for the safety of citizens and minimization of casualties for all involved. It is a weird thing for me to pray peace, though, because doesn't peace mean something very dangerous and prophetic according to scripture? Then again, I can't wait for Jesus' return, but for that to happen, a lot bad stuff happens first. I'm just careful right now to what I specifically pray for the Middle East. Basic blessings concerning the hearts and minds of the people there seem to always be in order. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Gypsy started this article leaving the impression that is where the story started.

The story actually started with Hamas lofting rockets into Israeli civilian centers.

No provocation beforehand. They were simply thinking that with Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood in charge that perhaps Egypt would join in against Israel.

Hamas misjudged the willingness of their Muslim comrades to support them and are now facing justifiable Israeli retaliation.

One simple point that is being overlooked.

Israel is targeting the actual aggressors, their leadership and their rocket sites.

Hamas is targeting civilians.

Who is the bad guy here?

I wish the USA would go back to practicing such a position, so when we do strike your foot is firmly planted on righteousness
