The walk worthy of life

The type of walk in life depends on what our heart and mind desires. Do we walk only using the physical senses built-in to our bodies: to see, hear, taste and smell and touch, of our natural walk? Of a mind and spirit of the same. Some will say is there another way to live?

We are born into a default, natural walk of life, and we live it every day, from when we awake until we go back to our sleep, every night, without exception. All of us began our lives this way, and many live their entire life this way as well. To never acknowledge their personal creator and his love for them, who wants to restore them, back from the paradise lost, to live forever again with him.

God created us with spiritual senses that are hidden and forgotten, that used to be natural. It was replaced with the self and the world view in mind. We need God to restore and restart them, these God-given senses, to live and walk his Godly life as he intended.

God calls us to him and his life, to all people, without exception. He does it by making us aware through our natural senses, into our minds, of his physical works of creation, the wonders in the world and of the universe. He also knocks and speaks to all people in different ways, using different instruments of choice, without exception. And this is all because of his word, of spirit. It is who he is, and he will be what he will be, the one God, the only LORD and the only YHWH.

He cannot help it in sharing his love with us as he chose to create us in his image, by effective purpose of being true to himself. He is truly the only faithful, accountable, merciful and patient God who never gave up or gives up on his human creation. And he will not stop until that generation of mankind has reached the point of no return, never to ever recognize him, incapable of spiritual communication with him. And God only knows when that critical horizon event will be reached, when natural mankind will be drawn into the black hole of nothingness.

And he wants us to realize what we have lost in our relationship with him today. And beyond this realization, to possess this lost spiritual link for his life with him, which is the walk of eternal life.

As his Son is living in his Father’s life today, so to, he, the Father wants us to live in his Son, in this same Godly walk of life.

(Joh 14:11a) Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father in me;

(Joh 14:16) And I will ask the Father, and He shall give you another comforter, that he may be with you for ever-

(Joh 14:17) the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive. For it neither sees him nor knows him. You truly know him, for he abides with you and shall be in you.

(Joh 14:18) I will not leave you desolate as orphans. I will come to you.

(Joh 14:19) Yet a little while, and the world sees me no more; but you will see me. Because I live, you shall live also.

(Joh 14:20) In that day, you shall truly know that I am in my Father, and you in me and I in you.

(Joh 17:16) They are not of the world even as I am not of the world.

(Joh 17:17) Sanctify them in the truth. Your word is truth.

(Joh 17:20) Neither for these only do I pray, but for those also that believe in me through their word;

---------------------------------------------------------

(Joh 17:21) that they may all be one, even as You, Father, are in me and I in You, that they may also be one in us; that the world may believe You did send me.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So the next part, is to answer the two ‘how’s.’ the mechanics of how it’s all done, to bring it into reality. This is the gist of this topic, to discuss how we can, and then how do we walk in this eternal life of the Father and the Son, today?

And this means that eternal life is not just a future promise, but a present reality for those who believe in Jesus Christ.

And to kick start it off, here are some essential passages to consider and apply, if not done already.

Jesus says, “Whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life!” (John 5:24).

(Joh 3:5) Jesus answered: Truly, truly, I say to you: Except one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God!

(Joh 3:6) That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

(Joh 3:7) Do not marvel at what I said to you: You must be born anew.

(Rom 6:4) " We were buried therefore with him through a baptism into his death, that like as Christ was raised up from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life. "

Well. let me continue on and I will just indulge myself and begin with how we. or I can and do walk in eternal life today. This subject can be extensive introducing much scripture and with many other associated thoughts.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once genuinely given this precious saving faith and the spirit of Christ of truth, from the grace given by God, we are then urged by his Spirit to grow more and more into the spirit of Christ. You be as he is. To become more like Christ. This is the goal of every believer.

And we do this by our faith in cooperation with the Spirit in agreeing and wanting to divest ourselves of our old natural way of walking. And reading pertinent scripture that reinforces this desire. This natural living for self and the world is a dying proposition, as we then place ourselves in front of God's lead for our lives.

On this journey of continual salvation and eternal life, we should begin to see a lessening of this old natural life and an ever-increasing sense of the new life in our walk. We should develop a habit of walking differently, away from ourselves, in denying ourselves, and placing God's will first into our walk. This is then the walk of Christ, in perfection. We detach ourselves for the past life and reattach to the new life more and more over time.

(Rom 8:12) " So then brothers, we are debtors- but not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. "
(Rom 8:13) " For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you shall live.
(Rom 8:14) " For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God. "
(Rom 8:15) " For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. "

(Eph 2:1) You once were dead in the trespasses and sins
(Eph 2:2) in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, according to the spirit that now works in the sons of disobedience.
(Eph 2:3) Among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by our natural condition destined to be children of God’s wrath, even as the others.
(Eph 2:4) But God, being rich in mercy, for the sake of His great love with which He loved us,
(Eph 2:5) even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace have you been saved!),

This is called in scripture, denying self and taking up our own cross, walking it up as Christ did to the place of execution and fulfillment. And depending on our zeal, eagerness, desire and faith, to keep walking in the light, this new style of walking can be very frustrating or become a growing blessing of holiness.

(Mat 16:24) Then said Jesus to his disciples: If anyone wants to be my follower, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
(Mat 16:25) For whoever would save his life shall lose it, and whoever shall lose his life for my sake shall find it.

Unfortunately and in reality, all will spend their entire lives carrying their own Cross, and not always living in the light, as we are never perfected in Christ, in our walk on this earth. Christ was never born of the sin of Adam through his Father, the rest of us were of natural human fathers and inherited this sin.

While believers are called to walk in the light, it is not a guarantee that they will always be able to do so. They must continually listen for, hear, and to align their lives with God’s will, and rely on faith to navigate the challenges and temptations they face.

Further, the Bible presents Jesus Christ as the only one who has walked without sin in eternal life with his Father on earth. In 1 Peter 2:21-22, it is written that Jesus committed no sin and was without deceit in his mouth.

The Bible then acknowledges that humans are prone to sin and that it is a part of the human experience. In 1 John 1:6-10, it is written that those who claim to have fellowship with God but walk in darkness are deceiving themselves, and that true fellowship with God requires walking in the light and obeying His commandments (his will).

While it is possible to strive to live a life without sin, it is unlikely that humans can achieve this in the same way that Jesus did. Instead, Christians are called to seek to follow Christ’s example and to walk in the light, acknowledging their own sinfulness and seeking forgiveness and guidance from God.

And eventhough all genuine believers are living in eternal life in the Kingdom today, wanting to do God's will in these earthly vessels, some who are more frequently Spirit-filled in their walk will experience the light of eternal life more than others, more than those who are slackers or slow in moving forward with burdening sin in this life. They are still preoccupied and constantly wrestling with sin in their lives and cannot seem to find time to seek, hear and experience the will of God.

(Rom 7:5) " For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were through the law, worked in our limbs to bring forth fruit to death. "
(Rom 7:6) " But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that wherein we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter. "

(Rom 8:3) " For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for a sin offering, condemned sin, in the flesh. "
(Rom 8:4) " That the just requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. "
(Rom 8:5) " For they that are after the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. "
(Rom 8:6) " For the mind of the flesh is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. "
(Rom 8:7) " Because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be. "
(Rom 8:8) And they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

And this is our assurance for those walking in eternity today.

(Joh 10:27) My sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me.
(Joh 10:28) And I give to them eternal life; and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand.
(Joh 10:29) My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

Here are some ways to cultivate a deeper relationship with God and walk in His Kingdom:

  • Practice the power of persistence: Focus on making progress one task at a time, trusting that God will accomplish significant results through your efforts. This mindset helps you stay motivated and committed to your spiritual journey.
  • Yield to God’s leadership: Recognize that God’s ways are not always like our own, and be willing to surrender to His guidance and direction. This requires humility and trust in His sovereignty.
  • Be teachable: Embrace a teachable spirit, recognizing that God desires to share His heart with those who are willing to learn and grow. This involves being open to correction, guidance, and wisdom from Scripture and others.
  • Call upon God with a pure heart: Develop a habit of honesty and integrity in your relationship with God, seeking to have a pure and honest heart before Him. This involves confessing your sins and seeking forgiveness, as well as being transparent in your thoughts and actions.
By incorporating these practices into your daily life, you can deepen your walk in God’s Kingdom and experience the joy and fulfillment that comes from living in harmony with His will.

We are citizen's of the eternal Kingdom of God, today!

Citizens of the eternal Kingdom of God, are either who had gotten in without a wedding garment on, or who is in by the way shown.

The forums are not an answer to faith in the time when there is little to no faith on earth, they are more of the same. ( little to no faith)

If citizens of the Kingdom of God were sincere, there would be no falling away from the faith, but there cannot be sincerity in the places faith is supposed to be, when there is only great swelling words of vanity to be found.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2 Peter 2:18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

Jude 1:16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

Well said sir, And I then take it you did understand the purpose of my thread. I still do not give up, as for one, it keeps my faith fresh, dynamic and alive for God, and in the hope it will invigorate others to do the same with the same zeal.

What ( WHO) will give zeal to people.

The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, which is what teaches us, to deny ungodliness ( to not be as many antichrists who deny Christ has come in the flesh) and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly. in this present world.

Looking for that blessed hope, and glorious appearing of the great God, and our Saviour Jesus Christ, WHO GAVE HIMSELF FOR US, THAT HE MIGHT REDEEM US FROM ALL INIQUITY, AND OURIFY UNTO HIMSELF A PEOPLE, ZEALOUS OF GOOD WORKS.

Titus 2:10 Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

This is well said, the gospel and all of he scriptures as they are given.

How it seems many are trying to enter the kingdom, but are not chosen to be there. ( no wedding garment)

There is no answer, nothing to talk about it, ( HE WAS SPEECHLESS) just the order to be taken away and cast into outer darkness.

For many are called, but few are chosen...

Matthew 22:11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weepingand gnashing of teeth.
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Jesus defined eternal life for us in John 17:3. That verse says,

“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

Now the expression 'thou hast sent' or words to that effect can mean many things. In this context it means that the human being, Jesus the anointed one of God, was born to do God, his Father's bidding. It is an idiom, and not of that time only, also of today. I'm sure you can find many examples of this idiom for a persons' calling in life. Not some wild notion of Jesus being sent by transforming himself into a human being from being God in heaven before-hand, or any other kind of nonsense.

Why do we exaggerate and become very creative with scripture when we are speaking of eternal life, as our walk?

Do we know God and his Son, Jesus Christ. I wonder....do we ignore John 17:3 as an annoying scripture that disturbed and critically destroys the models of our man-made belief systems?

How are we to walk in eternal life today if we cannot get who is the true Jesus the Christ and his Father, the one true God straight, into and in our hearts and minds?

Continuing on from the previous post...of John 17:3 above.

In this context, knowing God and Jesus Christ means having a profound understanding of their character, nature, and attributes as we draw closer to them in prayer and the holy writ. It involves recognizing their love, mercy, and grace, as well as their power, wisdom, and justice. It also involves having a sense of their presence and involvement in our lives, and being aware of their guidance, direction, and provision.

Jesus Christ is the one who has revealed God to us, and through Him, we can come to know the Father. Jesus is the perfect representation of God’s character, and by knowing Him, we can gain a deeper understanding of God’s nature. Jesus said, “He who has seen me has seen the Father” (John 14:9), emphasizing the unity and oneness of God and Jesus Christ.

In summary, knowing God and Jesus Christ is not just about intellectual knowledge or head knowledge, but about having a deep and personal relationship with them. It involves understanding their character, nature, and attributes, and having a sense of their presence and involvement in our lives.

Through prayer of any length of heartfelt expression we pray, through our voice to our savior the Christ, to reach the Father, our God, the God of all. Christ is the head and caretaker of God's house, and we are a part of this house, as its members.

We ask Christ (to/through his spirit) concerning the will of God for our lives. We ask Christ to heal our spirit and for others so the Father is always aware of our request. We can do nothing without the Father God's permission or action through Christ, as Christ today can do nothing of himself if not given or permitted by him, our God.

As another reinforcement and review of what is also written in this thread thus far, to know God and Jesus Christ, in our eternal walk, and become closer to them, we can follow these steps:

  • Get involved with other believers: Surround yourself with people who share your faith and values, and grow in your relationship with God together. This can be through attending 'church' or congregation, joining a small group, or participating in community service. (1 Peter 4:10; Ephesians 4:11-16)
  • Practice confession and humility: Recognize your sins and confess them to God, and ask for forgiveness. This helps to purify your heart and mind, and brings you closer to God. (James 4:8)
  • Read and study the Bible: The Bible is God’s inspired Word, and reading it helps us understand who God is and how He works. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
  • Pray: Prayer is a powerful way to communicate with God through Christ, and express your thoughts, feelings, and desires. It can be as simple as talking to God, praising Him, thanking Him, and petitioning Him on behalf of others and yourself. (Matthew 6:9-13)
  • Follow Jesus’ teachings: Jesus taught us to love one another, and when we strive to treat others as He did, we learn more about Him and become more like Him. (John 14:15)
  • Show gratitude: Gratitude helps us cultivate a heart that is satisfied and trusts God, rather than complaining about our circumstances and groaning against Him. (James 1:2-4)
  • Repent and seek forgiveness: When we fall short, repent and seek forgiveness, and strive to live a good life. This helps us feel closer to God and experience His love for us. (Luke 22:19-20)
  • Listen to God’s voice: Take time to listen to God’s voice, and be still in His presence. This can help you feel closer to Him and gain a deeper understanding of His plans and purposes. (Psalm 46:10)
  • Talk to God: Prayer is a gift, and talking to God can be a powerful way to grow closer to Him. Even if you don’t know what to say, the Holy Spirit/Spirit of God can intercede for you and help you express your thoughts and feelings. (Romans 8:26-27)

The walk worthy of life

TLTR. The walk worthy of life flips Socrates's maxim on its head, is the examined life.

It involves the pursuit of self-actualization, making the most of our time, talent and treasure. Ecclesiastes said it best.

The best thing we can do is to enjoy eating, drinking, and working.[a] I believe these are God's gifts to us.
Ecclesiastes 2:24 (CEV)

Sadly, too many limit the notion of "work" to a paid job. Our work includes not only the Great Commission but to fulfill our purpose in life as priests in reconciling others to God.

So we are now representatives of the Anointed One, the Liberating King; God has given us a charge to carry through our lives—urging all people on behalf of the Anointed to become reconciled to the Creator God.

Man does not call man, God calls man, man is the wolves in sheep's clothing, ( read what God says to the shepherds) thieves and robbers before Christ and the sheep flee from them. ( God feeds them in a good pasture, the shepherds feed themselves on the sheep NO MORE.)

Ezekiel 34:9 Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the Lord;
10 Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.
11 For thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.
12 As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
13 And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.
14 I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.
15 I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord God.
16 I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
17 And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats.

John 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

John 10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

Matthew 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Jeremiah 8:9 The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the Lord; and what wisdom is in them?

Jeremiah 23:16 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the Lord.
17 They say still unto them that despise me, The Lord hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.
18 For who hath stood in the counsel of the Lord, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?

Jeremiah 23:20 The anger of the Lord shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.
21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

Jesus Christ was sent to bless us, and what about these other prophets/teachers..

Acts 3:26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

2 Peter 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
