Bible Trivia

Here is an interesting chart that breaks down the Bible into chapters, verses, and words. How long do you think it would take someone to cover His Word if they only get a verse or two per week as taught in many churches? But then we have those who say I understand God's Word... I read the Bible once! Below are a couple of figures we put together.One chapter a day would take 3.25 years.One verse a day would take 85.21 years.One chapter a week would take 22.86 years.One verse a week would take 598.11 years. Where do you fit in? There is a big difference between reading and understanding His Word. It would appear to me that we have a long way to go! Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. (John 5:39) We can search the scriptures because they point to Christ, but we must also come to Christ, because He is the one who gives eternal life. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. (I Timothy 4:16) If we stay true to what is right by God's Word, He will bless us and use us to help others. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
