you completely missing the point. We are commanded to be baptized in Water for remission of sins, every example of baptism that we have is water baptism, all of the conversion examples involved water baptism.
Let me ask you a question Mr. God's Word Is TRUTH!!!...May I?Which saves water OR Water of Life?
Like I said earlier, water has nothing to do with your salvation. Its the answer of a good concience toward God. (1 pet. 3:21) Its just the fact that we are commanded to be baptized in water in the name of the father, the son, and the holy spirit.

No we are not that is men's teaching We are command to be baptised by repentance and acceptance(belief) so that we may partake of the living waters of Christ.Water baptism is nothing but symbolic. You are not more saved than the person who was never water baptised and repented and believes.did you just forget your previous post where water baptism was not acceptable????

I addressed this earlier in the thread but I don't think that I explained it enough, here is what I wrote earlier about the theif
First of all, the new covanent wasn't in effect yet because Christ had not died yet.(Heb. 9:16)Also, you are kinda underestimating the Son of God, he had the power to say to anybody, your sins are forgiven, and then they would be forgiven right then. He did it several times in him ministry. (matthew 9:1-7) Its kinda like a last will and testament. if I had a lot of money, or land or something. while I was alive, and on earth, I could do with it as I please and give to whoever I want, but once I die, in order to recieve the gift you have to obey all the things that the testament says in order to receive it. and baptism is a thing that has been commanded time and time again in the scriptures.
Christ had the ability to go to anybody and say go your sins are forgiven and guess what that persons sins are now forgiven.the new testament wasn't in effect yet as well, in hebrews 9:16-17 we are told that there cannot be a testament without the death of a testator(Christ)the theif was forgiven his sins before Christ died. The church wasn't established untilt the day of pentecost when peter preached the first gospel sermon in Acts Chapter 2and after the sermon, they were pricked in their hearts and wanted to know what to do.Acts 2:37-3837. Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?38. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. With Love in Christ our Savior,Dustin Humphreys

Yes be baptized, by the Holy spirit not water you continue to disreguard this fact when you yourself have present evidence of this WATER DOES NOT SAVE DOES NOT WASH AWAY SINS only the living water of Christ that you claim through GRACE of God and baptism of the spirit.

Only one baptism was commanded, and that was water baptism. Those who received the baptism of the Holy Spirit did nothing to receive it; it was a promise that fell upon them. When we read Paul's statement that there is "one baptism" (Ephesians 4:5), then we know it has to be the one that can be obeyed. (See Acts 22:16 for an example of this command to be baptized, as well as Acts 2:38.) Even in the case of Cornelius and his household, a case that is almost certainly baptism of the Holy Spirit, Peter still "commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord" (Acts 10:48). Why would Peter do that if Holy Spirit baptism was enough? What kind of baptism was he commanding? Since the Holy Spirit had already fallen upon them, it obviously was water baptism he commanded. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus told them to "make disciples of all the nations". How would that happen? "baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." After baptizing, they were to teach these new disciples to "observe all things that I have commanded you" (v. 20), and that would include baptizing others to make them disciples, wouldn't it?

you are right one baptism of spirit Not water and your verses do not say water they say baptism the verse you quoted are talking baptism of repentance and belief we are saved by grace when we repent and are baptised by the spirit no where are we told water washes away sin and saves us.again you ignore the bible, Ignore the early church and listen to men.Act 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. repentance and believe Not WaterWater was not for the remission of certain sins, but for the purification of the body, as the soul had been already purified in righteousness. This was what Peter and the apostels taught. This is what the word teaches. Anything different is mans doctrine.

The whole chapter talks of those being baptised by the spirit after belief and repentancewhat was the question asked the Eunuch??37And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.his baptisim was contingent on the question and answer NOT THE WATERWater is symbolic only of the living water of Christ. It is a beautiful ceremony and outward promise between the person and their acceptance of Christ. But the water saves No One Tell me something do you believe if a person is just giving lip service and doesnt really repent in their heart or isn't positive Christ exists and they get baptised to please their loved ones are they saved by water??? No, of course not it is not the water that does anything its the state of your heart/spirit that saves you.If you can accept Christ with your dying breath and be saved what can water have to do with it God is concerned about our spirit not whether we were dipped in Water. apply common sense with Gods word and you will find truth.

The thief on the cross is proof that in extreme situations water baptism isn't required. Since he was dying & couldn't be baptized. For the rest of us, I agree that water baptism is a good idea. But we aren't saved by baptism. We are saved by our acceptance of Jesus.Dustin, since you already realize that we aren't required to keep the OT law. Why embrace such a legalistic outlook? Forgive me if I overstep here, by you seem caught up in externals while missing the grace we have in Christ. Why add burdens to your walk when Christ has gone to such lengths to remove them?
