John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

God gave his only begotten Son to the world and sent Jesus from heaven so all would believe on him for everlasting life. This verse is not referring to Jesus's death on the cross in saying that God gave the Son. John was not revealing what was revealed to Paul, that Jesus would justify Jew and Gentile by the cross. God sent him into the world so all would believe in Jesus as being the Messiah, the Son of God and by believing receive eternal life and be saved to enter the kingdom on earth.

John 3:27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

God sent his Son from heaven and by believing the word and the Son one could be saved.

John 3:31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

Jesus was sent from heaven so all would believe on him as Messiah and the Son of God for eternal life and be delivered from wrath.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

[Isiah 60:1-3 KJV] 1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. 3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Jesus was sent to save the world. Jesus will save Israel so they thru him may be a light to the Gentiles; this will fulfill Genesis 12:2-3 in which, Israel will bless the world.

Yes Jesus was sent for Israel and to be a light in the whole world, Know that he is with us always also. Jesus said;

Mat 28:20 and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Blessings.

I agree with most of your post, but not the last bit, about Israel being a light to lighten the Gentiles. Those words refer to Jesus Himself:

“And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. So he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law, he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said: "Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word; For my eyes have seen Your salvation Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel."” (Lu 2:25-32 NKJV)

I was careful to just use Isiah 60 to say Israel will be a light to the Gentiles because other passages do solely refer to Jesus as a light to the Gentiles see Isaiah 42:6 49:6 Luke 2:32 Acts 26:23

Lets breakdown Isaiah 60
[Isa 60:1 KJV] 1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
The light of Israel, Jesus, has come
[Isa 60:2 KJV] 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
The glory of the Lord will be seen upon THEE (Zion)
[Isa 60:3 KJV] 3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
The Gentiles will come to THY (Zion) light but note the light from Zion is Jesus

Dont forget Jesus spoke of Israel being the light of the world..................[Mat 5:14 KJV] 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

God gave his only begotten Son to the world

"To the WORLD".......Jesus is Given.

"The World" = "all have sinned"

"The World" = "Jesus came into THE WORLD.......to save SINNERS"..

John Calvinism, denies this, and says that Jesus didn't come for all sinners ("The World").....but only for the "pre-chosen to believe".

This is what is known as "limited atonement".....or, .. "God didnt offer Jesus for the World"...."John 3:16 is a Lie". = John Calvinism

Do not forget the message of Jesus is NOW universal and nor for Israel only, the thing is in almost all your posts you write Israel and it confuses people.
