Luke 13:3, for one.

By the way. Since this topic is veering away from the pope's service to Satan and toward something else, please do me one favor and define for me, in detail, exactly what your belief in U.R. means and entails. I seriously do not know and want to hear it from you lest I make any unwarranted assumptions while discussing this. Thanks.

Sure, no problem, I will send you a pm with the details and then we can discuss it in another thread and avoid in further veering from the topic.

It's okay if we go elsewhere or continue here; the locals are having a tough time proving the pope didn't say precisely what he meant, so that aspect of the thread is going nowhere.

OK, in a nut shell, I believe universal reconciliation means everyone is reconciled to God, and just as Paul states in 1Cor.15:23 there is a specific order to this reconciliation. I believe in hell but also recognize that it is not eternal as KJV has mistranslated it to be, but rather is for a time that is beyond our scope of vision or understanding.
I believe that Father is indeed working all things according to His will and purpose as described in Eph. 1:11-14 and His will is that no one perish as described in 2Peter 3:9.

You should start a new thread if you are going to discuss universalism. That way if others want to join in the discussion they can see it in the lists of topics.

Good point. Have at it, JF, I'll come find it.

Got some work to get done this weekend, I'll stop by when I can (within a few days, maybe sooner).

musterion ... you will find it very easy to examine everyone else and see their faults

As a matter of fact your sinful nature thoroughly enjoys doing it

Much harder to examine yourself and you know it

Thus you do what you do

Once you figure that out you really have something

I hope it does not take a long time for you to figure out

regards and best wishes in your studies

You're missing the biggest difference between you and me:

I'm judging people only on a doctrinal basis - according to what THEY write and according to the positions that come out of THEIR mouths, which I examine against the unchanging standard of the Word of God rightly divided. That's what Christians are SUPPOSED to do, Arnie. Didn't you know that?

YOU, however, are simply being nasty. Every post YOU make is personal, not doctrinal. YOU are the one judging my heart and motives, which is forbidden us all because such is God's prerogative alone. You've amply demonstrated that you cannot refute anything I've said here, so instead you insult me. You're falsely judging me for that which YOU - in two separate posts on this thread alone - have indulged. YOU have repeatedly exhibited the very behaviors you presume to see in my heart.

And that's precisely why you are a hypocrite.

How do you justify your un-Christlike nastiness, Arnie? Or are you so blind to yourself that you can't even see it?
