And that is to walk contrary to God's Word. The Spirit will always guide us TO the Light of Christ because it is when the Word dwells in our hearts can we have our sinful deeds exposed to the Light of God's Word so that we can ask them to be forgiven and washed away by the living water of the Word as we sacrifice our self daily, allowing our old flesh man to die to his self centeredness to reveal our spiritual man who now is to walk in the newness of life as the Spirit leads. The Spirit will never lead us to walk contrary to God's Word to do so, would be anti-Christ.

John 3:17-21
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
KJV

Are you being led of the Spirit to be saved by allowing the Word to work in you?

Do you realize you are contradicting the very word you are quoting? Are we saved by the word working in us, or by faith in Jesus (vs.18) ?

No I am not, you just need to grasp that to just look at written words such as DON'T OR DO changes no one or can make them do right, even though the thing that is being asked to DON'T OR DO is good for them.
The Bible says no carnal man in their fallen nature can keep obedience to God's Word, so that is why our works can not save us, for we are fallen flesh of unclean spirits without the Word living in us.

It is only possible to LIVE BY God's Word by being baptized in the Spirit of God who is our helper and which is why we have a better covenant than the Hebrews who did not have the indwelling Spirit to guide them.
When we come to Christ and confess him as Lord, we are giving our word(verbal agreement) that we are desiring, allowing and asking God to work in us by His Spirit and His Word to TEACH us how to do what is right, then He begins to DRAW US TO THE LIVING WATER of the Word, writing the Word upon our fleshly hearts as it washes away our sinful thoughts of heart that keep us bondage to sin, so that we don't need to be TOLD by a VISUAL law for we have it within our hearts to know how to BE a doer of the Word not just a hearer only.

God NEVER changes and His Word is forever, for He is the same yesterday, today and forever. The Word of God framed and is what upholds all things and is the very foundation of the earth.
The reason that God gave the Hebrew children the law was because they had just come out of Egypt and had unbelief, idolatry and evil ways of darkness in their hearts, so God needed to put HIS NAME, meaning His Word, upon them to make them into a people of God. God is a Just God not a heathen God, the God of the living, not of the dead.
When we come to God we are just coming out of wicked Egypt our self and we need to be cleansed in the living water of the Word to be born again of the Spirit to be recognized as the salt of the earth as the children of God who bring the Light of the Word to the world of darkness. At that time when we put our faith in Christ, we are given a clean slate so that no man can boast of why God has accepted them. We come to Christ just as we are, but we don't REMAIN that way, but with a softened (not hard hearted)heart to humble ourselves to SUBMIT to the Word and let him begin to work in us. Him and the Spirit operate, if you will, in us internally to raise up our standards inwardly beginning with our heart for that is where the issues of life are, so that we begin to grow and produce good fruit for the kingdom outwardly in good works which are fitting for a child of God who has been spiritually reborn by the Spirit and Word of God.
2 Cor 3:3
3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
KJV

Exactly, because that would be an anti-Christ spirit, right!
For God's will is His Word which tells us not to sin.
