The answer is NO.
Oh we can see their fleshly works as man promotes and pats the backs of those who seem to be a pillar in the community. Who volunteer all their time to the help feed the poor, make packs to send to the troops in war, walk in the women's breast cancer walk for a cure, start a youth group to help the kids on the street, set up a homeless shelter, work on holidays to prepare meals for the poor, raise money for for animals, orphans, widows and any number of charities.

Then they go home and cheat on their taxes, beat on their family, plan vengeance towards someone who has hurt them, lie to their family, friends or boss, steal from their place of employment among many other acts that are not inline with Christ which they think no one else sees. But then that just adds to the list, for now they are functioning in unbelief, for if they truly believed in an ALL seeing God who is the JUDGE, they would not have thought for a moment that they would not be found out.
Nothing escapes His eyes that roam to and fro throughout the earth.

1 Chron 28:9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

Rev 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

The answer is YES!

James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

If you do such selfless acts and avoid been polluted by the world...you are drawing to God like a Japanese speedtrain. Those who do these acts as part of a job / religious duty are exclusions as emphasis must be given to ''look after''. Implying its at a personal cost to you.

Nobody doing such will reject Christ. Nobody doing such will not be approached by God (James 4:8) for a revelation of Christ 1 Cor 12:3, Matt 16:16-17.
