I have been listening to Dr owuor alot lately and i think i need to stop. I Do know that i need to rely on God and the bible, but the only reason I go to prophets is because i dont hear no confirmations, No answers, no true knowing which way to go

But i have to say, this prophet stresses me out alot. His words tell us we need to be perfect, I mean dressing a certain way, being LIMITED to certain music, television, almost everything...I wish i didnt have to complain but this is too much for me, This kind of stuff is the reason i fell away a couple years back. Is culture even supposed to exist? This is insane for me!

Why does this life have to be so limited? Why cant i remember the tv and music from my childhood when i go to heaven? Why cant i keep my skin color there either, My clothing my music my style and culture? I just dont understand why there are so many limits and all the ways the prophets speak against things and im sitting over here like, Come on, go easy on people but saying that makes me look like a fake christian who isnt going to be raptured, But i probably wont be anyways because of everything these prophets say are sins, but are not answered why they are

I needed to vent. Im tired of this. I am a simple person, Im not saying christianity is simple, But im also not saying its supposed to be over the top limited life.

ahhh

Sounds very stressful. No prophet is necessary for you to recognize God's never ending, justifying, sanctifying love for you.....just be still and know He is.....

The rest of your life can be spent returning God's love and loving your neighbor - we all need a life time of practice.

Don't worry about all of the external stuff - you are more than your interests and culture.

My interests and culture is not external. Its ME, And my childhood is in my heart, its not just random years. I miss those days, I want to be able to remember that stuff when i get to heaven. I want to have Christmas trees in the new earth and a wife, and I want to listen to rap music im not going to lie.

But What im saying is, Im not fond of wearing robes and talking proper forever, I want to keep my slang, the way i talk, the way i dress. I dont believe this is rebellion against God, but they do

Well, I can only speak from my point of view - I believe there is a true self and a false self - our false self is the same as Paul talks about, calling it th old man. We are called to live from our true selves - as lovers of God and others. Unfortunately, our false selves want all of our attention and the attention of everyone else - it wants to be notorious and revels in the culture of the time we live in - it wants us to believe that we are our language, culture, music and interests - we are not - it is just the clothes we wear - our ego. When we stand before God in the guise of our false self, God will not recognize us because He only knows our true self - He created our true selves - we created our false selves with the memories of how we remember others viewing us and what we believe makes us important and admired by those around us.

That is how I see reality - if you see things differently it is ok to disagree.

You're not wrong to long for happier days, and you're not wrong about the New Earth (which IS "heaven," by the way, the "New Heaven" or the "New Sky"). As God said, "the man was made for the earth" and "the earth was made for the man."

Genesis 1:26-31
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat (food).
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
KJV

Genesis 2:4-15
4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.
11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.
14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
KJV

There is a pride that inventors take in the things they make and a pride scientists take in the things they discover, but a humble man will realize that it is GOD who gives them knowledge and blesses their endeavors. Such is the case with one of my favorite heroes, Sir Isaac Newton:

“If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants.”
Isaac Newton, The Correspondence Of Isaac Newton

“I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.”
Isaac Newton

“Gravity explains the motions of the planets, but it cannot explain who sets the planets in motion.”
Isaac Newton

“He who thinks half-heartedly will not believe in God; but he who really thinks has to believe in God.”
Isaac Newton

These and other quotations are found at http://www.goodreads.com/author/quotes/135106.Isaac_Newton. And, one more quote that I find personally encouraging is this:

“OUR ORDINATION:

Sir Isaac Newton, 1642 – 1747

About the times of the End, a body of men will be raised up who will turn their attention to the prophecies, and insist upon their literal interpretation, in the midst of much clamor and opposition.”
Isaac Newton

I am one of that "body of men." I have both turned my attention to the prophecies and I insist upon their literal interpretation (much to the frustration of many on this forum).

Many inventors and scientists have been of like mind to Sir Newton. They have given credit where credit is due; all knowledge and creativity comes from the God who made mankind in the first place! Would He create us with such knowledge and creativity to take it all away at the end? Of course not. God is not the author of confusion, nor does he renege on His promises!

Romans 11:25-29
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
KJV

God doesn't change His mind concerning the gifts that He bestows to men, nor does He change His mind about His calling! He is FAITHFUL - CONSISTENT - LOYAL - TRUSTWORTHY!

I had great times in my youth, as well. I loved all the frivolous frolic of youth; I enjoyed each new holiday as the calendar ticked by in the school classroom. I loved the peace, the anticipation, and the joy that came with each Christmas! I loved to sit in the warm, living room when all the lights were off except for the lights of the tree. I would spend hours just relishing in the quiet peace of a snowy evening! I used to love waking to find the world changed into a winter wonderland after the first serious snowfall (until I had to go out and shovel it off the driveway, that is).

God's New Earth will be such a place of beauty and wonder! It will be full of discovery and industry! "Sit around in robes all day?" "Talking proper?" Who says?! That's just nonsense! It'll be "Christmas" EVERY DAY! Even better holidays await you! True Pesach (Passover) complete with the Resurrection Day! The Giving of the Light, Hanukkah, the day that commemorates the giving of the Light of the World, the day of His conception! Rosh HaShannah, the Head of the Year, the New Year's Day of Isra'el! Listen again to the wonder, joy and beauty of Revelation 21:

Revelation 21:3-22:7
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs (1,500 miles!) The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits (72 yards!), according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper (the bloodstone): and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth (makes it dirty), neither whatsoever worketh abomination (disgusting things), or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations (so there must still be something from which they needed to be healed).
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
KJV

And all of this will occur on that New Earth, not in some obscure "heaven" who knows where. And, I take all of this very LITERALLY! There's no reason not to! You won't have to go to church (the temple); you'll GET TO go to the THRONE OF GOD AND OF THE LAMB, YESHUA` (or Jesus)! You won't have to wear a robe all the time! A "robe" in Scripture was a mark of dignity and respect. Something one would wear at special occasions, like the ceremonial cape that a king would wear at his coronation or the mantle of a Roman emperor that He wold drape over his shoulder and over an arm.

NT:4749 stolee (stol-ay'); from NT:4724; equipment, i.e. (specifically) a "stole" or long-fitting gown (as a mark of dignity):
KJV - long clothing (garment), (long) robe.

For whatever reason, some people think of the End as a song stuck permanently on the crescendo and the climax, but that's JUST DUMB! VARIETY is the spice of life! And, God is a MASTER at variety! Just look at all the various types of life on this planet, and we're constantly discovering new species EVERY DAY! Look at all the variety in the environments of this earth! Do we really think that God will be less creative with eternity?! Don't worry. God will give you the things that make your heart glad.

ahhh

We have no need for the testimony of any one man except the man Yeshua Christou. In this we shall all be taught of God as the Scripture says because the Word of Yeshua is the Word of the Father. This we know because the Father gives the confirmation and the Testimony at both the Baptism of Yeshua and the Transfiguration event when he states "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased" and "Hear him!" This confirmation of the Father seals the Testimony of Yeshua as the authentic Bread of Life which if a man eat he shall live. Yeshua emptied himself of himself and allowed the fullness of the Supreme Deity to dwell bodily in him and the Father gave unto him the Spirit not by measure but rather in the fullness of power, authority, knowledge, and wisdom. The Word that Yeshua speaks is not his own but rather the very Word of the Father who spoke through him.

John 3:33-35 KJV
33. He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.
34. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
35. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

All of the words, doctrines, parables, and sayings of Messiah found in the Gospel accounts are all that a man needs to be taught of God; for Yeshua expounds all things, yet in the simplest of terms so that even a child may understand as a child and begin to grow in faith, knowledge, and wisdom in the Scriptures. Yeshua expounds all Torah, Prophets, Psalms, and Writings. You have no need for Dr Owuor, Sir Isaac Newton, or any other man to teach you anything outside of the Testimony of Yeshua the Rabbi-Master-Teacher. Likewise heed the warnings of Paul and let no man build for you any foundation other than Messiah for there is no foundation which may be laid other than the foundation which Messiah has already laid with his Testimony which is confirmed by the Father himself and ultimately confirmed in the blood of Yeshua the Lamb of God at Golgotha. If you walk according to the flesh and the natural man you will die according to the same. Walk according to the Spirit which is the Testimony of Yeshua found written in the Gospel record.

John 6:41-45 KJV
41. The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.
42. And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?
43. Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
44. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
45. It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

Isaiah 54:1-13 KJV
1. Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.
[Quoted in Galatians 4:27 as the allegory of Jerusalem of Above]
2. Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
3. For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
4. Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
5. For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
6. For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.
7. For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
8. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.
9. For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
10. For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.
11. O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
12. And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.
13.
And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.

Christianity is not following a list of do's and don'ts, especially those that are man-directed, no matter how good they sound...

Let no one therefore judge you in eating, or in drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath day, which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Christ’s. Let no one rob you of your prize by a voluntary humility and worshipping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding firmly to the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and ligaments, grows with God’s growth. If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances, "Don’t handle, nor taste, nor touch" (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men? Which things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imposed worship, and humility, and severity to the body; but aren't of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.
- Colossians 2:16

Christianity is about following Jesus Christ, and being led and empowered by the Holy Spirit, just as He was.

That's positive to hear. I was begining to think Christianity was all about limitations and suffering

I have been in some form of prophetic ministry for over 40 years. Here are some standards I think profitable.

A true prophet of God will never try & control you. He will always be under you. Yes, he may warn you, & you may not like it, but you will discern the Love of God in holiness from him; never control.

He is there to serve you, not the other way around. He will be accessible as a brother first; not an elite tower of faith, so to speak. He will never, ever, want to be supported, exalted by the body...ever....there-fore he will not, cannot use you. You are as Christ to him, and valuable , & he will treat you that way, as Christ's treasured possession....unto the very least in the body.

He will take the lower seat, not the upper....& realize as he walks & teaches that the honor of man, & the fear of man, are rooted in the same sin...Pride...& will disdain both.

This is rarely done in the pulpit, or on Center Stage,..Tom

It's impossible for a person to really know what ways they are following unless they get into God's Word for theirself and allow Him to reason with that person. That is how one can know the difference between what is right and what is wrong, and know which one is best to follow, and why. Until the person does that, for theirself, with God's help within His Word, they will continue to think with a do's and don'ts mentality, never coming to the Truth.

Also, whatever we follow or do it will either result in a work of righteousness or a work of darkness. The end result of darkness is confusion, loneliness, and eternal death. The end result of righteousness is peace, understanding, blessedness and eternal life if done through Christ Jesus The Saviour.
