I'm starting to think, that my struggle might be to do with a dead spirit (a dead spirit finds it hard to resist temptation).

Please pray for my resurrection, from temptation.

Something that is very strange, is that the addiction is not for anything else. I don't think "I'm craving McDonald's, what if I have a cigarette?" or "I want McDonald's, maybe I'll just have heaps of cheese?" No, it has to be McDonald's; like the Devil is trying specifically, to wear me down, the most hard-to-resist way he can?

I'm not going to just say "that's not fair", but I'm starting to think maybe I should be letting the Holy Spirit answer for me?

There! I did it! I stopped hungering for McDonald's. I realised it wasn't just the effect of "sin" but "iniquity" (entrained sin).

The work of the Holy Spirit was able to do it!

Something that has helped has been trusting the Holy Spirit to do away with the guilt, of being addicted. The Devil's attack can get past your armour, if you think somehow its "your fault" that you are addicted!

Do you believe that Pastors who remain fat/overweight stay & will be saved ?

I don't believe that God gives people the opportunity to be "fatter" "more addicted" "more unfit" in Heaven. Heaven is all about the good stuff, without the bad.
Overweight Pastors was an example of ONGOING WILLFUL SINNING.
Do you believe they are eternally saved REGARDLESS of their willful sin of gluttony ?

You are conflating the weight they have with the character they desire, despite that weight. Fat preachers aren't fat because they want to be, their bodies have just not caught up with the character - the new character - that Christ has given them, by His death on the Cross. You're not the judge - in Heaven they may be skinnier than you. Don't end up embarrassed in Heaven, because you thought they would never be slim!

I think what the Lord has revealed to me, is that I was "dead in my appetite" - just as it says in Revelation that we can be dead (spiritually) and not realise it. Revelation advises that we should gather what good we have and commit to waiting for the Lord - that's what I will do!

Referring to the verses quoted in :-
QUOTE The Bible’s warnings against gluttony are mostly indirect, and there is no verse that says outright, “Gluttony is a sin.” However, when we consider what gluttony is and the biblical principles that apply, our conclusion has to be that gluttony is indeed a sin.
Is your conclusion that though they are knowingly overeating, indulging etc, they are not guilty of willfully sinning ?

It's gotten to the point that I deliberately eat food from competitor's restaurants, to try and dislodge my thinking, about you-know-who.
