Ministry... It is nice to have the feeling of being led by the Spirit and not of the flesh. Being led of the Spirit is also a big help in preaching the word. In which a Spirit led minister will begin by talking about the things the Lord has put on his heart.
The default is the big ME.
Self glorification takes many forms and the most insidious is when it has the appearance of piety. As an example just look at the clothing get up of the Priests in the Roman Church to mention one....or the other extreme, the Mennonite/ amish get up.....all under the guise of piety.
....further, on a religious level making the self the centre while pretending the centre is someone else is nothing more than sleight of hand.....with it mostly done unconsciously.....because of the default.

On a secular level self glorification/ self importance pervades every aspect of life from our taste buds to our sweaty under arms....even to perfumed toilet paper.

Yes, we chase THE FEELING....which we attribute to anything that pleases the self and I wonder how John the Baptist felt in Herod's dungeon?

If someone is going into ministry it is a good feeling that they are bringing the Lord Jesus with them.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; - Revelation 12:11

The Word of the Testimony is huge! Tell us what the Lord is doing in your life!

Who did they testify to?

In the Lord's Prayer...
Give us today our daily bread

The Lord's table is full of things for the mind, body, and spirit.

22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour. - Matthew 15

"And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table." I can imagine a very large table before the Heavenly Father that the children were not eating of. With all those blessings available to testify to... That woman had claims to a whole lot!

I don't see the relevance of your reply to my question.
