That's insane. Maybe waiting to pounce on a child. And you guys think Australia is bad. We don't have wild cats or bears that will hunt down a person to eat

That is not really true because we have crocs that will stalk their next meal if it is too close to the bank, including humans as well.
While the Mountain Lions and coyotes can be dangerous, the black bears in our suburban foothills mind their own business, not bothering humans
You are being a tad touchyI said we don't have wild cats or bears that will hunt down humans to eat.
Off course we still have other animals that will hunt and kill humans to eat. Crocodiles, sharks and dingoes. So, beware
No, just clearing up your misinterpretation. You are being a tad touchy
Not bothering humans unless their hungry or startled...
I think it's safer taking a walk in the Aussie bush than in the North American forrest.
The bears in the wilds are dangerous especially Grizzlies. But our suburban bears are used to people so usually don't bother people. Did you watch the video of the two elderly people with the bear on the porch with them?
By suburban bears I mean the ones who wander around streets with homes.
No, just clearing up your misinterpretation.
Well the city has encroached upon their territory. But the coyotes are seen more often and even in the "real" city. People have to be careful of walking their dogs.I watched it. I still wouldn't be getting close to one. Our suburban mammals are kangaroos and koalas. Your suburban mammals are mountain lions and bears. That's insane
Now you have me curious. What are drop bears?!!!dreaded drop bears that Aussies like to scare visitors, to our country, with, because their falling could cause serious problems when they fall flat.

Wow, really?! I had no idea...or are you pulling my leg?We have koala bears, technically their not bears, but they aren't always as cute and cuddly as they seem. Sometimes if you walk under their tree they will drop down onto people in a furious rage and attack you with their razor sharp claws and K9 teeth. They have been known to slice open peoples necks and kill them. It happens most often to unsuspecting visitors from overseas who arent looking out for them and dont know how to defend against them. The Australian government keeps it top secret as to not scare away visitors from overseas.
Isn't that right @Jay Ross , tell her.

Beware the drop bears
Wow, really?! I had no idea...or are you pulling my leg?
I've seen videos of people giving thirsty koalas (due to the fires) a drink from a water bottle or wrapping up one to take to a veterinarian.
