You kept denying that Darwin suggested that all things evolved from one common ancestor, over and over again you denied it while knowing it to be true.
Well, let's take a look...

There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed by the Creator into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being evolved.
Charles Darwin, last sentence of On the Origin of Species

Darwin didn't offer an opinion as to how many original forms there were, but admitted that he thought God created them. I've shown this before on this board. Did you forget?

Fact is that James Tour has challenged all these guys to debates and they all refuse because they know he'll win.
They seem to have disposed of his claims rather easily. As you know, evolution is not about how life began, and Tour does not know this.

I'm thinking that you're frustrated and angry that this discussion isn't going the way you hoped. It might feel better in the moment to lash out, but then what you've done remains here for a long time

Nothing for me to be angry about.
We all see the denial, but your behavior is more convincing.

Monkeys are far to evolved in their own way to have been the ancestors of humans. Again, your assumptions are leading you down the wrong path

You think humans evolved from Lucy.
I said that? Please show us. Lucy, being bipedal, is clearly no monkey, but she wasn't even a member of the genus Homo. Close to the line that produced humans, but she isn't. In fact, it appears that there were species more similar to Homo before Lucy died.

I don't think you're lying; I think you've let your anger lead you into unfortunate accusations.

So your unable to show me any proof at all.
If there was really so much proof then you would be able to describe at least one of them, but you can't, because the proof doesn't exist, only assumptions.

The fact is that no species of animal has ever been observed to come from another animal. Life is much more complicated then that. Many scientists disagree with the Theory of Evolution.

It is all here, read...
More than one thread on evolution.
I know your type.....you believe what you believe.
Happy reading.....

Science does know a lot, I know, I studied engineering, a practical science unlike fake theoretical science. But science doesnt know everything and some of it is false, especially in the theoretical science realm. It's philosophy trying to dress up as science. They just go by assumptions to suit their atheist world view.

Microevolution is undisputed, small changes within species happen. But macroevolution is heavily disputed, the change of an animal type into another animal type, its never been seen in the field or the lab.

Ultimately you were unable to describe any kind of proof for a species evolving from another species.
You just believe what you hear without actually looking into it. I would suggest listening to the opposing arguments from scientists. Then you would be better able to make an educated decision. The video above is a good start

Do you believe the world is flat?
Evolution in general is a sure thing, they have more than enough evidence of that.
Personally, I believe God was the power behind it all, but it took billions of years.

I would need to find the quote, something tells me it may not be fruitful time spent, as you seem to be convinced.

You can google the latest electron microscopy to see some of the cell images, you can judge for yourself.

Cells are recognized as the most complex, highly organized systems in nature, acting as microscopic, self-replicating factories crammed with trillions of interacting molecules and organelles. A single cell operates like a packed city, with complex machinery for energy production, logistics, signaling, and genetic regulation far exceeding the complexity of any human-made machine.

Key Aspects of Cellular Complexity:
  • Molecular Crowding: A human cell contains roughly 42 million protein molecules, plus countless lipids and nucleic acids interacting in real-time.
  • Internal Organization: Eukaryotic cells contain specialized compartments (organelles) like the nucleus, mitochondria, and endoplasmic reticulum that manage specific tasks.
  • Dynamic Function: The cytoplasm acts as a "frenzied chemical lab" where proteins and enzymes are constantly acting as molecular machines.
  • Genomic Regulation: The genome, which can be over 700 megabytes, is continuously regulating thousands of genes to ensure survival.
  • Complex Behaviors: Cells can navigate surroundings, send and receive signals, and repair themselves from small fragments.
  • Thermodynamic Openness: Cells operate far from equilibrium, requiring continuous energy to maintain their high level of organization and order.
Prokaryotic vs. Eukaryotic Complexity
While prokaryotes (bacteria/archaea) lack a nucleus and membrane-bound organelles, they are still highly complex organisms capable of intricate signaling and environmental adaptation. Eukaryotic cells possess additional, advanced sub-cellular architecture developed over time.

"Irreducible" Complexity
The, irreducible complexity of a cell suggests that its numerous systems function in cooperative harmony; if one component fails, the cell often cannot function. The immense quantity of information contained within a single cell's DNA and its structural components is so complex that researchers believe the first cell was not a "simple" organism, but a fully functional, complex machine.

Mind blowing.

Praise the Lord.

All nonsense and lies that you believe.
There is no evidence of a species ever coming from another species in any of those links.
Only far fetched assumptions given by atheists eager to disprove God

probably all the organic beings which have ever lived on this earth have descended from some one primordial form, into which life was first breathed

There's just no use speaking to a pathological liar.
I've already refuted your lies on the other thread so that's enough from me.

I believe in Gods creation as the bible says.
You reject the bible and believe in the atheist pseudo-science lies that humans came from monkeys.
The case against it is in the link below and in the op and in the videos I posted of scientists refuting the theory

So I guess you believe the world is flat too.
Do think you are qualified to know what pseudo-science is?
No harm, no foul, I do not care what you believe.

No harm, no foul, I do not care what you believe.

No one is talking about flat earth apart from you.

As someone who studied mechanical engineering at university I am very well qualified to know what pseudo-science is.
I know what real science is, practical science, observable, testable, like engineering. Its my job.

Modern theoretical science says God doesn't exist.
It says the universe started with a big bang, that life sprung up on its own and evolved from a single ancestor. It says humans came from monkeys.

Yet you claim to believe in God?
You claim to be a Christian?
How does that work?
That goes against modern science.
You seem to only believe some of the pseudo-science but reject some of it?
You seem to only believe some of the bible but reject some of it?
How is that possible?
I'd like to read about your position on these things

He said that he thought it was probable, which is consistent with his stated belief that it could have been more than one. There's a difference between saying something is probable and saying it happened. You know this.

Turns out, subsequent evidence shows that his hunch was right. But he didn't know that, and openly admitted it. I don't think you're a liar; I think you're so worked up that you aren't thinking clearly.

The key step in the evolution of Eukaryotes was endosymbiosis, the integration of other living things into a cell, to the point that the symbiosis became obligate. For example, chloroplasts and mitochondria are essential organelles in the organisms that have them. Each of these are bacteria-like structures that reproduce within the cell by their own bacterial DNA. And this symbiosis has been directly observed to evolve. Would you like to learn about that?

"Irreducible" Complexity
The, irreducible complexity of a cell suggests that its numerous systems function in cooperative harmony; if one component fails, the cell often cannot function. The immense quantity of information contained within a single cell's DNA and its structural components is so complex that researchers believe the first cell was not a "simple" organism, but a fully functional, complex machine.
That's not what "irreducible complexity" means. There are all sorts of living cells, each of them more or less complex than the others. By definition, cells are not irreducibly complex. If they were, then cells that are less complex than others could not exist.

There is no evidence of a species ever coming from another species in any of those links.

The apple maggot fly evolved in the United States since the introduction of apples to North America, from the Hawthorn maggot fly. They are not reproductively isolated and are a new species.

The apple maggot (Rhagoletis pomonella), also known as the railroad worm (but distinct from the Phrixothrix beetle larva, also called railroad worm), is a species of fruit fly, and a pest of several types of fruits, mostly apples. This species evolved about 150 years ago through a sympatric shift from the native host hawthorn to the domesticated apple species Malus domestica in the northeastern United States.

No. Science is a method, like plumbing. Neither plumbing nor science can consider the supernatural. But plumbers and scientists can. If this puzzles you, we've located one of the problems.

It says humans came from monkeys.
Nope. This is a common YE creationist superstition. But it's false.

Isn't that a contradiction of terms?

Definition of SPECIES

: a category of biological classification ranking immediately below the genus or subgenus, comprising related organisms or populations potentially capable of interbreeding, and being designated by a binomial that consists of the name of a genus followed by a Latin or latinized uncapitalized noun or adjective agreeing grammatically with the genus name

Quantum-Mechanics and Computer Science and Nuclear Weapons for 24 years. Life long formal education.
I do believe in God I just do not think the world is flat or just 8,000 years old.
The scriptures are a great place for religion not a good source on how to do brain surgery or cosmology.

It's my error. You're right. It is because they are reproductively isolated they are separate species. An analogous case is the evolution of polar bears from grizzly bears. Like most recently-evolved species, they are also potentially capable of interbreeding, and have done it in zoos. As the Arctic icepack has melted back, some polar bears have come ashore, and some of them have met grizzly bears. The result is grolar bears. Or pizzly bears, or whatever.
