This is how you try to justify your fondness for irreverent portrayals of Jesus and distortions of the gospel in The Chosen?

When you say “we” you refer to yourself and a person who claims that Jesus lied multiple times.
"an irreverent portrayal of Jesus"
I find your attitude to be an irreverent portrayal of Jesus, and a betrayal of how He taught us to live.

1 Corinthians 13:4-13 4
Love suffers long, and is kind. Love does not envy. Love is not contrary, does not swell up, 5 does not deal dishonourably, seeks not her own, is not provoked to anger, thinks no evil; 6 does not take pleasure in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 suffers all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures in all things. 8 Though prophesying fail, or tongues cease, or knowledge vanish away, yet love never falls away.
9 For our knowledge is imperfect, and our prophesying is imperfect. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is imperfect shall be put away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I imagined as a child. But as soon as I was a man, I put away childishness. 12 Now we see as is reflected to us in a mysterious word, but then we shall see face to face. Now I know imperfectly, but then I shall know even as I am known. 13 Now faith, hope, and love, these three things abide, but the chief of these is love.

There are some among us who will defend their harsh criticisms, accusations and condemnations of the brethren (if indeed we are their brethren) as acts of love. Love for the truth, love of sound doctrine, etc. But I see little evidence to support their claims.

"Sleep" seems to be a common euphemism for death.

Nowhere in Scripture is "sleep" a euphemism for NOT dead.

52 And all were weeping and mourning for her, but he said, “Do not weep, for she is not dead but sleeping.”
So, was the girl dead or not? The point is a distraction from honoring Christian artists who've brought millions to Christ. The acrimony here about The Chosen is off the charts.

I came across this touching scene. The apostles are sitting by a camp fire late at night after doing crow control all day as the masses came to be cured by Jesus. As the crowd dwindled, Jesus told his rotating security that he can handle it from there.

There is great conflict coming to the surface between Peter, who feels betrayed by Matthew. Peter explodes in rage. Big James says Peter said what he needed to say and to sit (as Matthew was seated.) instead, Andrew flies to his feet, saying after James sits down, which causes James brother to fly to his feet. 3 men ready to come to blows.

Suudenly, in the distance, we hear shuffling feet and groaning. The suffering Christ struggles to his tent, physically exhausted and emotional anguish. All eyes are upon him. The combative men mouths agape. Christ barely has enough strength to wave a sped say good night.

At his tent, he groans, struggling to take his sandals off. Mary, his mother runs to help him, washes his feet and the blood from his hands and forehead - presumably from praying over thousands and hugging them as the hours went by.
