Will you still believe if Science disproves the bible?

My faith is in God.

Unfortunately, I think such a position is not intellectually sustainable. It encourages an all-or-nothing mindset, where if one part is disproved, you have to throw out all of it. This mindset becomes harmful when every potential contradiction in the Bible, every inconsistency in the biblical manuscripts, and every potential scientific or historical discovery becomes an existential threat to the faithful following of Jesus Christ.

And yes, I realize there are certain non-negotiable sine qua non doctrines in the Bible that MUST be true or faith in Christ becomes impossible.

What is your priority, God or the Bible ?

Hebr 6:4 For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit,
Hebr 6:5 and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come,
Hebr 6:6 and then have fallen away, ....

I have tasted the orange, it's decisive. And should be enough to hold on.

@chongshipei, the situation here in the US is a little different. Here, "Bible over Science" might mean believing that the earth is only 6000 years old. (Somebody once calculated that by counting the generations recorded in Genesis and assuming 20 years per generation and a known starting point.) It also requires believing in a literalist hermeneutic. The scientific evidence is that the earth is much older than 6000 years.

A long time ago, I donated to a ministry that printed Chinese-language bibles and smuggled them into China for house-churches in China that do not have bibles. They did so at great risk to themselves; the punishment in China was pretty severe at the time. In case anybody was wondering what the Bible is worth.

I believe in the scientific theory known as intelligent design. It says that an intelligent being created the universe, the earth and all the life in it. That intelligent being is God and there is much evidence to support it.

However, science is an atheist endeavour and they reject any theory or hypothesis that suggests any kind of God.

For over 100 years atheists have been trying to disprove God under the guise of science. They say that everything came about through processes that are random and materialistic.

They say that all life evolved from one organism, that humans evolved from monkeys, yet no species has ever been observed to come from another species. It's mearly a speculation. They have been trying for decades to change DNA of animals to create another species but they can't. A dog is still a dog no matter what breed it is, it can still mate with another dog, it's still the same species despite the many breeds.

Their theories are known as pseudo-science, they are based on far fetched assumptions that cannot be observed or replicated. It's more of a philosophy than a science.

The biggest problem is that they teach this pseudo-science to students in schools and it pulls many of them away from God.

I believed the pseudo-science when I was in my early 20s studying engineering. I'm greatful that I was able to learn about the falsehoods of these teachings and turn to God.
