Oh, this reminds me to pray my rosary!!
goldy,When you get a phone call for somebody else, do you continue to act as a middle man or do you not give the phone to that person? If somebody called for you, but instead talked to somebody else in you family to relay the requests to you instead of talking to you, how would you feel when you were right there? Think about that. Wouldn't you feel slighted? Wouldn't you think that something is wrong in your relationship with that person that they did not want to talk to you? And if done habitually, you would wonder if that person wants to relate to you at all since it is that other member of the family that person is relating to.So if you are relating to someone else to talk to Jesus instead of Jesus... are you not saying to the world that a believer cannot always feel free to come to their God? How does that affect your witness about how much Jesus loves us that He gave up His life to save us? There is no greater love. When you are out with someone you love in a restaurant; do you talk with that person's mother in order to talk with that person you claim to love? Imagine how that would look to your friends and neighbors and church members and the world. Here you are sitting at the table while everybody seeing you talking to the mother of the person you love to relay your words to the person you love. And the person you love is not saying anything back through the mother or to you as he would be indignant and you know it.So bottomline, you really have no excuse for not going straight to the Lord in prayer in seeking the Lord as well as talking to Him. And if I have to say it, so be it. You are sinning against the Lord. Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Seek the Lord in prayer.
