Hello everyone!I just joined the board today, but have been reading the forums for a couple of weeks now. There are alot of interesting topics and I am encouraged by the thoughtful and responses received so I hope that I can get some assistance with issues I have been struggling with recently and in the past.I currently do not attend a church but was raised in a Christian Reformed church, was baptized as an infant and did profession of faith at the age of 16 (I'll not get into that issue in my introduction post!). I have never stopped believing that God exists or that Jesus was born, raised and resurrected from the dead. However, my faith has been weak for a very long time (though I now realize that my faith wasn't really faith, but based on tradition and rituals) and am now actively seeking answers to questions I have had for years through reading the bible and reading forum questions and answers. I am not sure what initiated my sudden need for answers but for some reason I was compelled to start reading the bible and search for answers.I hope to become an active member of the forums and hope to gain knowledge and strengthen my faith while encouraging others to do the same.I won't have alot of answers, mostly questions at this point, but I feel I will in some way help others with their struggles by posting mine.Sincerely,Stephanie

I do not attend church either, well, the church is you."Yet the Most High does not dwell in houses made by hands"(Acts 7:48)"And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."(Matthew 16:18)"But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you."(Matthew 6:6)"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."(Hebrews 10:24-25)By visiting forums you meet people, by reading through posts we keep in touch.
