Jeremiah 30:23-24 See what a scorching wind has gone out from the Lord, a sweeping whirlwind, coming down onto the heads of the wicked. The Lord’s anger will not be turned aside, it will accomplish His purposes.
In days to come, you will understand. Deut. 29:4, Isaiah 35:5, Isaiah 48:6-8
Jeremiah 31:1-40 At that time, I shall be the God of all the families of Israel and they will be My people, a people that have escaped the sword and found favour in the wilderness. From afar God will appear to His people. 2 Thess. 1:10. He loves and cares for them and will build them up again, for a Day will come when the watchmen cry out on the hills of Ephraim: Come, let us go up Zion, unto the Lord our God. Once again, they will be happy and the Land will be fruitful. They will worship God in Jerusalem. Ezekiel 20:34-36
The Lord says: be joyful for Jacob’s sake, sing praises and say- God has saved His people, He has preserved a remnant of Israel. See how He brings them from all parts of the earth, among them the blind and the lame, women and children. A vast company, they come with weeping and prayer, God will comfort and escort them. He will lead them by streams of water, on smooth paths, for He is the Father to Israel and Ephraim is His eldest son. Psalm 107, Isaiah 11:11-13, Isaiah 62:10-12
Listen to the Word of the Lord, you nations, make it known to people far away. He who scattered Israel, will gather them again and will watch over them as a shepherd watches over his flock. For God has redeemed Jacob [the 12 tribes] and delivered them from their enemies. His righteous people will come with great joy into a Land of plenty and peace. Ezekiel 36:8-12, Amos 9:14-15,
Rachel weeps for her children. [Rachel is the mother of Jacob/ Israel] Shed no more tears, for they will leave the nations and return to their own Land. God has disciplined Ephraim, like an unruly bull calf. After Ephraim strayed, he repented and now in shame and remorse; reproaches himself for the sins of his youth. God says: Ephraim is still My dear son, in whom I delight and I still remember him and have compassion for him. Hosea 11:8-9 Set up signs to mark your way, the path for your return. Come back virgin Israel to your towns. How long will you wander, My wayward child? Deut. 4:26, Isaiah 63:17-19, Ezekiel 4:4-6, John 7:35
This will happen: a woman will protect a man. Judges 5:7 a precedent?
The Lord says: When I bring My people back from exile, from all parts of the world, they will live in all the Land and be satisfied. Once more will these words be heard in the Land; God bless you, the home of righteousness, the holy mountain. Ezekiel 39:27
The days are coming, says the Lord, when I will plant Israel and Judah then increase their people and livestock. In the past My intent was to uproot and inflict disaster upon them, now I shall watch over them, to build and plant. Micah 7:11-12, Ezekiel 36:8
It will no longer be said that children will suffer for their parents sins. Only those who sin will be punished for it. Ezekiel 18:20
The days are coming when I shall establish a new covenant with Israel and Judah. It will not be like the one that I made with their forefathers, when I took them out of Egypt, that covenant they broke, though I was patient with them. This will be the new Covenant that I will make with the whole House of Israel, in the latter days; I shall set My Law within them, in their hearts, all of them will know and obey Me. I will forgive and forget their wrongdoing. Ezekiel 37:26, Hebrews 8:6-12
The Lord says: As the sun and stars are set in their courses, as the wind and the sea roars- only if this fixed order changes, only then: could Israel ever cease to be a nation before Me. Micah 7:19-20, Isaiah 14:1-2, Hosea 2:18-23
The days are coming when Jerusalem will be rebuilt in My honour. It will be holy to Me, never again to be demolished. Isaiah 58:12, Micah 7:11, Jeremiah 30:18 Ref: REB. Verses abridged.

‘A scorching wind, a sweeping whirlwind that will destroy the wicked’ - This is the Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath, the next prophesied event, the sixth seal of Revelation 6:12-17 and Isaiah 30:26a – a massive sunstrike that will affect all the world. Malachi 4:1-3, 2 Peter 3:7
‘God will save His people. At that time…a people will escape the Sword’ – The Lord’s righteous people will be protected on that Day. Isaiah 30:26b, Joel 2:32, Psalm 23:4
The Redemption of the Nazarenes’– In Jer.31:6, the word translated ‘watchmen’ is ‘natsar’ meaning: to obey, also to preserve and protect. [ref: Strongs 5341] Another connotation is ‘nazar’. meaning to set apart, to consecrate and dedicate. [ref:Strongs 5144] It is the root word for Nazareth and disciples of Jesus were and still can be, known as Nazarenes. Acts 24:5 So it will be all the righteous believers who will gather and go to live in the Promised Land. Col. 1:9-20
‘He who scattered Israel, will gather them again. His righteous people, will leave the nations and come, with great joy into a Land of plenty and peace. They will worship their God in Jerusalem’. – This is the great promise of the redemption of all God’s people, that is; all true believing Christians, who will live in the new country of Beulah, Isaiah 62:1-5, in peace and prosperity. They will build the 3rd Temple and worship God as in ancient days. Zechariah 6:15, Ezekiel 40 to 48. God made unconditional promises to the Patriarchs and their descendants remain mostly scattered around the world. Amos 9:9, Ezekiel 34:5+11-16. They are ‘a vast company’, who now constitute a high proportion of the population in the Western/Christian nations. Their right to ownership of the holy Land will be proven when the title deed in Jeremiah 32:14 is found. But we are told very clearly in the New Testament, that;…those with true faith will share the Blessings promised to Abraham. Galatians 3:6-9, Isaiah 56:1-8, John 10:16
‘It will no longer be said: the children will suffer for their parents sins’. - The sins of the forefathers are paid for by the Israelite’s long exile. Isaiah 27:7-9, Isa. 40:1-2
‘the Holy mountain’ – the Temple mount. The 3rd Temple will be built and the ordinances reinstated, until the Return of Jesus. Ezekiel ch.40-48, Zechariah 8:9

The great end times story:
This prophecy from the book of the prophet Jeremiah, tells the story of how the Lord will punish the unrighteous by a fire judgement, then how His righteous people will go to live in all of the holy Land. All who by faith, that believe in Jesus will receive salvation. John 3:16-18
He will make a new covenant with them, in order for His people: Nazarene Israelites and those grafted in, to fulfil their destiny to be “a light to the nations”, and to spread the gospel of the coming Kingdom of God. This will be carried out by the 144,000 selected in Jerusalem. Rev. 14:1-7 The precedent to this is in Luke 10:1-20. Isaiah 49:6, Isaiah 66:19
God’s people will live in peace and security, in the new country of Beulah, Isaiah 62:1-5, in all of that area promised to Abraham so long ago. Genesis 15:18, Ezekiel 34:24-31, Joel 2:23-27
When they are settled and prosperous, the Lord will motivate a Northern confederation to come and attack Beulah, Ezekiel 38:8, Ezekiel 39:1-2. They will be totally wiped out by the Lord, Ezekiel 38:21-22, Ezekiel 39:3-5, Joel 2:20. This is in order to display His glory and power to all the nations. Ezekiel 38:23, Ezekiel 39:21
Meanwhile, the rest of the world will slowly recover from the terrible fires and earthquakes of the Day of the Lord’s wrath and they will form a One World Government, initially controlled by ten Presidents, but another will rise to take dictatorial powers. He will make a seven year peace treaty with Beulah, that not all the Israelites agree with. Daniel 9:27, Daniel 11:32 This marks the commencement of the final seven years of this age. At the middle of this time, the World Dictator comes to Jerusalem and forcibly places his image in the Temple. Daniel 11:31 This triggers the 3½ year Great Tribulation, the trumpet and bowl judgements. Those Israelites who refused any dealings with the ‘beast’, as in Revelation 13:1-5, are taken to a place of safety. Revelation 12:14 1260 days later, will come the culmination of this age – the physical Return of Jesus, Zechariah 14:6-11, Rev. 19:11-21. He will destroy the armies mustered for battle in Armageddon. Revelation 16:16, Revelation 19:19-21, Zechariah 14:3-5 Then, He will reign for 1000 years. Great will be that time!

They will build the 3rd Temple and worship God as in ancient days. Zechariah 6:15, Ezekiel 40 to 48.=
Thank you for caring!

Only a head's up, that is, "The so called future 3rd Temple" has been, and is being built right this moment in men's hearts ("The 3rd Temple" = the "Sanctuary" in IIThess2:4).

God made unconditional promises to the Patriarchs and their descendants remain mostly scattered around the world. Amos 9:9, Ezekiel 34:5+11-16. Old Jack, we can spiritualize the 'temple' in this present dispensation. But as many prophesies tell us, there will be a physical third Temple built for the Shekinah Glory of God to come into. Ezekiel 43:4
Haggai 2:6-9 says first will come a great 'shaking' and then the 'treasure of the nations', that is: the Lord's righteous people, will come to the holy Land. 'The splendour of the House [Temple] built in the latter days, will exceed the splendour of the former'. This was not the case with the second Temple.

Do you see the point of my OP? It is the fact that only true, believing and righteous people will obtain the blessings of God, whether they be descendants of Jacob or anyone grafted in. Ezekiel 20:37-38

Thank you for your response again and caring!

Ezek.43:3 I don't know how else to tell you this, but the Kingdom of God prophesied by God, the Angel of the Lord (Ezek.40:3-48:35) has been coming to pass since the Godman Jesus showed up on the scene waaaaaay back there, and not in some future era?

While the Antichrist is building his kingdom (IIThess.2:4), the Sanctuary is being built by the Holy Spirit, ie, Kingdom of God.

Old Jack that always has enjoyed Ezekiel with you.

Jack, maybe you think you won't be around when Jesus Returns, or you are in denial that anything uncomfortable may happen.
Approximately a third of the Bible is prophecy, some literally fulfilled at the first advent of Jesus and other events. Why should not the rest be likewise?
Your 2 Thess.2:4 quote actually is another proof that a third Temple will be built.

We need to have an Interlinear sitting right along side your Weymouth Bible translation along with your Bible. Every time you see the Greek term naos, render "Sanctuary," purging the fallacious renderings using "Temple."

Resulting in IIThess.2:4, "Sanctuary" where the prophecy is possibly being fulfilled this very moment.

Jack, with the Bible prophesies, what you and all those who spriitualize or say its already happened, [preterists] should know, is basically, you are calling God a liar.
He gave His prophets information in a literal way. Of course many allegories, metaphors and types were used because there weren't the right words available and in order for unbelievers not to know. 1 Cor 14:22b Many prophesies have been literally fulfilled, e.g. Jesus riding on a donkey, so why not the rest?
But one of the greatest promise's God made was to Abraham. Genesis 15:18-21 That his descendants [thru Isaac and Jacob] will own and occupy all the Land from the Nile to the Euphrates. This has NOT happened as yet, but many prophesies, such as Jeremiah 31, say it will.
With beliefs such as you have, you miss what its all about. How there WILL be a time when His righteous people live in peace and security in all of the holy Land, being 'a light to the nations' and 'displaying His glory for all to see'. Ezekiel 39:25-28
Read the OP again and try to look at it from that point of view.

Yes keras; I agree; but "Jack" is unmoveable.
There is to be the "anti-Christ temple"; followed by the Ezekiel Temple for the Millennial IMO.
"Old Jack" is not so old. It's a cover for sympathy, I have found.

Let's go right to the bottom line as to why I'm so adamant regarding IIThess.2:11, 12 has been coming to pass technically since 70 A.D. in light of Lk.21:24. IIThess.2:10b, "because they received not the agape of the truth that they be saved." There is no way I can project this off to some future time out of touch with the Church today, that is, could be coming to pass this very moment - not in a preterists sense, fulfilled in the early centuries.

He gave His prophets information in a literal way. I view IIThess.2:10b literally.

What's the argument about 2 Thess 2:10-12?
It is something that was the case when it was written and is still the case today. That is the great problem today, people believing what is false and so God puts them under a delusion. Isaiah 29:9-12 puts it clearly; if you confuse yourself, you will stay confused...REB trans.
Here is another article that informs us of what will happen soon: Put aside all false theories and fanciful notions, like the 'rapture' and understand the truth.

Open the Gates to the People who keep the Faith - true Christian people.
Isaiah 26:1-19 On that DayJudah will say: “we have a strong city “
Open the gates; let a righteous nation enter, a nation that keeps faith. Matthew 21:43 Lord, those who put their trust in You are untroubled. Trust in the Lord forever, for He is an eternal Rock. The path of the righteous is smooth and level. Lord we desire Your Laws and we wait for the dawn when they will prevail on the earth – then all peoples will know true justice. Though You show grace to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness and continue on in their evil ways. Lord, Your hand is lifted high in Your zeal for your people. The wicked do not see it, so let them be humiliated. Let the fire reserved for Your enemies consume them. Those who dwell in high places will be brought down to dust. The oppressed and poor will tread them down. Malachi 4:3
Lord, You establish peace for us, all we have is Your doing. Our forefathers worshipped other gods, but You alone do we honour. They are now dead, You punished them and wiped out all memory of them. Lord, You have enlarged the Nation. You have gained glory by extending the borders of the Land. In our distress, Lord we sought You out. You rebuked us and we cried out in pain because we have not done as You required of us. Only a head's up, that is, "The so called future 3rd Temple" has been, and is being built right this moment in men's hearts ("The 3rd Temple" = the "Sanctuary" in IIThess2:4).

Wrong again Jack!

Thank you for your response!

Let's bottom line this as I've done with brother Floyd - only because you care so much, ie, agreeing to disagree of course. IIThess.2:10b, simply if anyone in the N.T. bumps into Biblical "truth" and has a lack of an agape for that "truth," a forever Chuck Barris 'Gong' show where one will have forever to think about it in the wrong place (btw I don't have that "truth" - relax).

Simply Rev.8:7-9:21 expounds IIThess.2:11, 12 explaining in detail how this plays out providing one receives the one valid interpretation - don't hold your breath on this one.

I can see that the articles I post are too much for some to comprehend.
What say we take one verse from Isaiah 26:15 Lord, You have enlarged the nation and won honour for Yourself. You have extended all the borders of the Land. Check out: Micah 7:11-12, Ezekiel 36:8-12, Ezekiel 37:21-22, Hosea 2:14-23, Psalm 37:29, Romans 8:18
Has this happened? When could it happen? Why will it happen?

Sure it will happen. It will happen when Yeshua` takes vengeance against the nations that come against national Isra'el. It will happen because it is God's decision through His Messiah Yeshua` to fulfill the following:

Isaiah 19:16-25
16 In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it.
17 And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which he hath determined against it.
18 In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction.
19 In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD.
20 And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.
21 And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it.
22 And the LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them.
23 In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.
24 In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:
25 Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying,
Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
KJV

Seems pretty clear to me. Thank you for the verses you listed.

By the way, just to correct a previous, minor discrepancy, you had said,...

"Rachel weeps for her children. [Rachel is the mother of Jacob/ Israel]."

Actually, Rachel was the younger, second WIFE of Jacob/Isra'el to whom were born Joseph and Benjamin. I think you were thinking of "Rebekkah," who was Isaac's wife, another "R" name, the wife of another "I" name, right? Besides, we are already told why Rachel was weeping:

Matthew 2:16-18
16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.
17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,
18 In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.
KJV

... which contains a quotation from Jeremiah:

Jeremiah 31:15-17
15 Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.
16 Thus saith the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.
17 And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again to their own border.
KJV

With a promise of resurrection and return to the Land, YHWH God assuages her weeping and tears!

Thanks Retrobyter, you are a breath of fresh air!
Yes Rachel was Jacobs second wife, but my point is: she is used in Bible prophecy as the spiritual mother of Israel.
It is interesting that Ramah is today the city of Ramallah, not far north of Jerusalem. I have been there, it is a Palestinian city, the HQ of the PLO is there. So Rachel still weeps, as none her children are there.
But the Day is coming when the Lord will extend the boundaries of the holy Land, Isaiah 26:15, Micah 7:11. He will whistle to call His righteous people back to into all of the Land promised to the Patriarchs, so long ago. Genesis 15:18, Zechariah 10:8-10

I don't mean to shatter your dreams, but the Messianic Age already came to pass at the Cross, eg, Isa.26:15.

Old bubble popper Jack - sorry bout that one.

Already came to pass, ie, by Christ's time there were a million Jews in Egypt according to Philo. Beginning shrotly after the Babylonian Captivity, Jewish groups did form in the land.

Jack, it would be nice if you didn't try to push your preterist rubbish here. To say we are now in the Messianic Age, is totally unsupportable with scripture.
If you believe the Bible, you should believe what it says and to make prophesies fit past events, requires much messing around with prophesies that can and will be literally fulfilled.
Yes, the fulfilment of God's promises to His people WILL assuage Rachel's tears.

Thank you again for your response, and especially humoring an old man, ie, made my Monday!

I'm a Lutheran, and we are not even partial Preterist, ie, prophecies are being fulfilled now - past events?

Appreciate you and your words
