Do any of you want to obey the commandments of Jesus Christ, all the time?

The ones that do that are reading this. Tell me. The Lord told me to post this here.

I will check back from time to time to see
if any on here wants to obey the commandments of Jesus Christ all the time.

Quote this post and say to me...I want to obey the commandments of Jesus Christ all the time.

Matthew, Chapter 7, 2:
with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

I have a feeling you made a vow to God, you did not keep.
You know what,

For a moment there I was actually worried that I had made a vow I had somehow forgotten.

But you see, I learnt back when I came to Christ that a person should never swear an oath. and since way back then I never have, it was actually one of the first scriptures I read.

So i have been praying today asking earnestly "Lord what Vow have I made?." and you know Stephen all that kept coming to mind was part of a scripture "Test the spirits"

But I didnt think much of it, until now when I see this thread and am reading the things your saying.

So I went and looked up 1 John 4:1 and found this
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Mate you need help, and I will pray for you if you like.

You should sincerely refrain from doing this sort of thing to anybody else.

When it comes to God talking to me I will trust what he tells me through the Spirit,

Im glad I was able to see this thread, and you know whats funny I saw this thread come up on the main menu only moments after I had prayed that I was becoming frustraited trying to figure out what was going on.

Thank you God

Get help Stephen

26) Rom 12:15 . .When others are happy, be happy with them. If they are
sad, share their sorrow.

When you're blue about something, the last thing you need is for somebody
to come along and tell you: Don't be that way; snap out of it! Well; it's not
too hard to figure out where their loyalties lie is it? If you know what a party
pooper is, then you know what a funeral pooper is-- they try to brighten up
a sad situation when what they really should do is bite their tongues and let
people grieve through their times of sadness instead.

27) Rom 12:16a . . Live in harmony with each other.

It isn't necessary to be in 100% agreement with others on everything in
order to comply with that command. But it is necessary the make every
effort to avoid quarrels. For some people, every disagreement is an act of
war to be won at any cost. That's not harmony, that's hostility. It's far and
away better for Christians to be diplomatic that to be defensive.

28) Rom 12:16b . . Don't be elitist, but willing to associate with people
below you.

One morning the owner of a boatyard where I was employed just happened
to be going east at the same time as me on a freeway in San Diego. I saw
him coming up on the left in my side mirror. I and my VW beetle were in the
middle lane and he and his Chevy pickup were in the fast lane. As the
boatyard owner came up alongside me, he kept his head turned to the left
as if he was intently looking at something alongside the highway as he went
past. You know what was over there on the left side of the freeway?
Nothing. It was a 30-foot embankment of bare earth; an impenetrable wall
of China. And guess what? Mr. Boatyard was on the board of a large
Wesleyan church in Spring Valley that he and I both attended on Sunday
mornings.

29) Rom 12:16c . . Don't be wise in your own conceit.

Webster's defines "conceit" as excessive self-appreciation of one's own worth
or virtue.

Conceit is un-trainable. It truly believes nobody beneath its dignity could
possibly have anything to tell that it doesn't already know, and if it doesn't
already know, then that's because the information possessed by those
beneath its dignity isn't worth knowing.

Those kinds of people will interrupt you right in the middle of your sentence
and begin talking about their own subject as if your voice is nowhere to be
heard in the whole room. You know why they do that? Because nothing you
are in the midst of saying is nearly as important as what they have to
say.

Conceited folk are generally very picky about their influences too; in other
words, even if somebody is a Spirit-gifted Bible teacher, but are neither
published, accredited, or properly educated, then forget it. That Spirit-gifted
somebody is eo ipso undeserving of conceit's intellectual attention right out
of the box.

Conceit is not only stuck on itself; but very critical of others too. I've seen it
to happen time and again that when a Spirit-gifted Bible teacher comes
across with a personality like Elijah's or John the Baptist's that conceit
summarily brushes them off as "unloving" no matter even if they speak as
the very voice of God. In other words; conceit disdains to be taught; rather,
conceit seeks to be accommodated.

Don’t waste your time Madad21.
Some people are given cart blanche to get responses, and if they go to far they are allowed another account to continue, so the web admin doesn’t look bad. In other words some posters don’t have any real interest in subject matter of threads they just provoke others to respond, to generate traffic on the web site. Websites use this method to gets more from their deals on the adds they display, instead of insightful subject matter. It comes with the turf. Of course I can’t prove this in this case, but if it looks like an idiot, acts like and talks like an idiot, it could very well be one, and it would be in one’s best interest to disregard such because they post senseless garbage just to get a rise out of you. And in some cases these really are just one person with many accounts, and some times they are a part of the admin.

Again I can’t prove it, but if you notice, we are getting a considerable amount of loonytoon like postings, that seem to be mocking of a believer in nature, and the poster doesn’t really seem to believe anything they are saying.

The staff of this site is not creating or encouraging any loony-tune postings. This site does not permit a single member to have multiple accounts.
The claim that DPMartin is making about this site is unfounded.

30) Rom 12:17a . . Never reciprocate evil with evil to anyone.

I've participated on nearly thirty Christian internet forums beginning in
1997, and one of the things I've noticed is that too many people wearing the
Christian label have forgotten all about turning the other cheek. Oh m' gosh
you wouldn't believe how ugly, spiteful, and vindictive Christians can be
when they put their minds to it!

31) Rom 12:17b . . Respect what is right in the sight of all men.

The koiné Greek word for "right" is a bit ambiguous. It can mean: honorable,
decent, sensible, mature, conforming to social norms of decency and
propriety, beautiful, virtuous, honest, having worth, fitting, and/or
appropriate. Those are all good qualities and should be practiced not only
inside church, but outside church too.

32) Rom 12:18 . . If possible, so far as it in your power, be at peace with all
men.

Assertive, defensive, critical, imperious, judgmental, confrontational, thin
skinned, vindictive, spiteful people are not going to heaven. Why? Because
heaven is a place of peace (Matt 5:9). Difficult people who fight at the drop
of a hat simply don't fit in heaven and besides, it wouldn't be fair to the
others to let them in.

33) Rom 12:19 . . Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave it to the
wrath of God, for it is written : Vengeance is mine, I will repay; testifies the
Lord.

The premise there is one's "own" revenge; in other words: if the matter
can't be settled legally; let it go rather than take it upon yourself to be
prosecutor, judge, jury, and hangman. Those who seek justice outside the
justice system are no less criminals than the people they seek to punish.

34) Rom 12:20 . . If your personal enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is
thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals upon his
head.

Way back when SURVIVOR was in its second or third season on television,
two of the women fell out of sorts and one vowed that even if the other were
lying in the street near death from thirst, she'd walk right past and not give
her so much as a drop of water. Bad form. Christians have to remain civil
and not permit detestable people to dictate the way they treat their fellow
men. It is far better for the Lord's people to exemplify humanitarian
principles rather than nurse a grudge.

35) Rom 12:21 . . Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

They say "fight fire with fire". Well, that might work in some circumstances;
but Christians should never permit themselves to fight evil with evil. Two
wrongs never make a right.

I just have to wonder-- in a land that prides itself in the principle of the
accused being assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law --why
Bin Laden wasn't captured alive and given a fair trial before the Obama
administration executed him. I mean; after all; several of Germany's big
name war criminals were given fair trials; and so was Saddam Hussein,
wasn't he? Far from being "brought to justice" Mr. Osama was assassinated
lynch-mob style. Thus, America overcame evil with evil; which is a clear
violation of the Lord's wishes as per Rom 12:21 and Americans pride
themselves in being a so-called Christian nation.

Actually, if you knew as much as you said you did, then you might be familiar with a tool called a proxy. What this little tool means is that any member, at any time, can go grab an IP address not associated with a previously used IP address of their own, and appear to be a completely different person. Unless they're silly enough to post the same content or use the same details in a profile, we cannot confirm that a person is or is not someone on anything other than posting styles. I'd like to think most people wouldn't act on something as weak as similar posts without being sure. I think this is something most administrators would do.

In regards to your other accusation that we somehow profit from posts that don't make sense, then that also tells me you're not really familiar with what sells on the internet. Forums aren't like news outlets, they rarely profit from gibberish. They profit, at a small degree, from good content. With that said, if you are concerned that you're being used to do such things as paying for the cost of this forum, paying to ship Bibles to winners, and donating to a local church - then by all means, please leave.

I'm sorry to be so harsh, but I really don't appreciate an accusation based on pure speculation that impugns not only myself, but my team here. Frankly speaking, that level of effort is not worth the little bit we make, nor the loss of time with my family it would cost.

How have I paid evil for evil mate?

The guy needs to know hes been called out and as I warned him in the previous post he has been seen by God.
my hope is that he will realise that he has been weighed and seriously think about the direction hes moving in.
I dont need a lecture from a guy on a camel telling me not to call out wickedness when I see it.

I havent cursed the guy but I have revealed him, God will do the rest

Isaiah 26:10
But when grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness; even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil and do not regard the majesty of the LORD.

The Whole Armor of God
10 Finally, ebe strong in the Lord and in fthe strength of his might. 11 gPut on hthe whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against ithe schemes of the devil. 12 For jwe do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against kthe rulers, against the authorities, against lthe cosmic powers overmthis present darkness, against nthe spiritual forces of evil oin the heavenly places. 13 Therefore ptake up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in qthe evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, rhaving fastened on the belt of truth, and shaving put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, tas shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up uthe shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all vthe flaming darts of wthe evil one; 17 and take sthe helmet of salvation, and xthe sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying yat all times zin the Spirit, awith all prayer and supplication. To that end bkeep alert with all perseverance, makingcsupplication for all the saints, 19 and dalso for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth eboldly to proclaim fthe mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I gam an ambassador hin chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.

Nothing I have said to him has been outside of this
He wants to intimidate me, I say I fear no evil
and I warn him his days are few
If he does not wish to repent then he is in Gods hands.
End of story

Right I don’t know anything, I taught myself how to do computer programing when DOS 3.3 to 5 was the latest greatest and 4 sucked. And even managed to get paid real money for it until .net came out.

Anyway don’t expect users to be so naive. Becoming indignant and quick to take offence because of a personal take on some public site seems disingenuous, when you are reading other peoples personal activity on their hard drive and bring up adds from sites that they have recently visited, but we should believe how respectful of others you are, and respect you, right? I mean everybody does it, right? That’s the way it’s done in the world, right?

If your going to do things in the ways of the world then expect to be viewed as someone who does things the way the world likes to do them. I mean if the income is so insignificant as you say, then why do it, right?

You don't think taking offence is warranted? Your personal take is an accusation against the integrity of fellow Christians who are trying to provide you with a conducive environment for spiritual growth.

And now you make another accusation. Even when I worked on making websites in the 90's I was aware of ad services, snippets of code you can paste into your website from an external host. The ad host is the one deciding what ads you see, they are the ones putting cookies in your temporary internet files (if you permit it with your internet settings). And the revenue they generated was insignificant back then in the tech boom, I doubt it is enough to cover the full cost of running this site..

Don't be so cynical, keep this scripture in mind: Titus 3:10-11

You must not have been good enough right, because you learn to adapt.

(That didn't feel good, did it?)

When you insult someone, of course they'll respond. I could insinuate that you probably have a website somewhere, and want to impugn a competitor, or just enjoy knocking someone who you don't agree theologically with, but all of the above would be pure speculation, of course. I'm free to have that opinion, but it doesn't make it right.

(And just in case it's not clear, I really didn't mean any of the above.)

By the way, I prefer shell to anything.

As to the ads, you of all people should know to stop using Google. It's not harvested from your hard drive, rather it is harvested each time you search with Google. There are tools and means to block, and you should probably opt out of Google if it's that large of an issue.

This thread has digressed far enough, feel free to start a topic in our helpdesk or send me a PM.

"I" will help anyone. "I" will help you obey. "I" will help you repent.
WHO IS THE "I" HE IS REFERRING TOO???

"YOU OBEY!!!"

"YOU made a vow!!"

Is this the gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord??

This person would have me believe that because I cried out in my pain that this was not the setting free of a captive soul but instead a new oppression in fact it is a “Vow” that I had now made contract to Christ of whom I now owed some perceived debt by way of what this person would proscribe.

This man disregards the teaching that the gift of salvation in the name of Christ was given freely by his work and through his blood.

He is not wrong about following the example of Christ our Lord, on this point he is right but........

He would have me working of a debt rather then proclaiming freedom in Christ from oppression, freedom to worship and study and praise my Lord as a child of the living God in joy as intended by the work of Christ.

He would now have me fear the Lord under a new oppression much greater then the last, terrified of mistake and quickly loosing hope.

Christ gave his life for me, so in exchange I give him mine and together I work with Christ and learn from him just as his disciples did.

Hope only has power when it is driven by the joy of the promise and joy can only flourish if the assurance of the gospel message is truly believed. That assurance is delivered to us personally by the ministry of the Holy Spirit direct to our hearts

I believe in the sacrifice made on my behalf, I will not muddy it by acting under new oppression.

Only the enemy would distract Gods people in this way, enforcing new legalisms and laws marring the work of Christ on the cross and thus blaspheming his name.

Such people have never known Christ, because they have never accepted him.

Jesus himself gives strong witness to the sure hope of eternal life that we have in him. In John’s Gospel we read his words: “My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand” ( John 10:27–28). He further adds: “My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one” (10:29–30 NASB)

So who will help me repent and follow the examples set for me through Christ who saved my life?

Jesus will !!!!

Nice job Madad................Plus.................................I liked your style
For God did not give us a spirit of Timidity
In the last days God is raising up an army of men who are not ashamed to proclaim His name.

WARRIOR UP................The battle begins...................for those who are not for ME are against ME

Let me just say one more thing since ya got me all stirred up..............

The time is now............it has finally arrived.........which I'm sure you and the rest of the Christians in here are aware of.

The reason America is where she is today...............is for lame duck Christians not speaking out....

I'm afraid my friend.........if we do not take a stand.............this time.

We will all be trading places.................homosexual coming out of the closets
Christians going in

Thank you Father for my brother Madad........................

It's a honor to battle alongside for Jesus' cause
