Americans want to get to the point. This should satisfy that. “How does it all play out?” you might ask; this will lay out a whole book in a few pages. The technique here was developed over time; it is a new paradigm in eschatology. The work presented here is substantiated with the rest of a book for a more in-depth study.

When we’re looking at diverse linear narratives about the end-times, it’s like a mosaic with individual pictures shuffled around the canvas. By picking specific and unique events, multiple and parallel accounts can be lined up and an overall sequence-of-events can be discerned. It’s a little like this puzzle:

In the local beauty contest, all contestants received prizes based on their standing. Jane was not first. Alice came up immediately behind Betty. Carol scored higher than Alice but not Tiffany. Sally lost to Betty but not Jane. No one tied in scoring.

Can you discern the correct order the girls ended up? (Answer at bottom of page 2.) The problem here is that we have a lot of disjointed information. Each sentence holds only a partial bit of information and not all of it is essential to solve the puzzle. Each sentence acts like an end-time narrative account in that it conveys information, but is not complete; individual sentences omit needed information – they skip key facts we would like to have. The only way to arrive at the correct order is to sift through the whole and piece them together. The Sequence-of-Events Analysis operates in this manner.

To assemble a Sequence-of-Events, major linear narratives are assembled in bullet point form, distilling descriptive language to get to the heart of the action: events. Descriptive verses are not unimportant; they fill in necessary voids in understanding. However, they concentrate on detail too much, so that the big picture gets lost. Centering on the action, or events, gives a big picture perspective and end-time prophecy can be assembled as a whole in outline form. Once the overall framework is in place, columns and beams to use and architectural analogy, walls and floors can be filled in, and then such details which distinguish one room from another more naturally find their mark.

This aspect of going from big-to-small is how I was trained to rapidly find a deep interdiction target behind enemy lines as a fighter-pilot in the 1980’s. “Popping up,” from our low-altitude ingress, we’d only have 3-5 seconds to acquire and target a building or infrastructure we’d never seen before except through intelligence photos. Knowing the color of the building was not important; knowing its placement in regard to larger geological features was vital to acquiring the correct target.

The Bible is written largely as a series of linear narratives; this is the beauty of Hebrew: it is a wonderful language in which to tell a story with its word pictures and double entendre. In the Bible, especially its historical books, events are laid out in linear fashion. Much of prophecy does not share that aspect; Isaiah and Zechariah are two books which present prophecy in a Kaleidoscope fashion. However, there are books and passages in prophecy which do conform to linearity of narrative. These make up the main portion which forms the framework for the Sequence of Events.

End-time prophetic books and passages which are set as a linear narrative are as follows:
  1. The book of Revelation, which itself is a series of parallel accounts
  2. The book of Daniel with its various individual visions
  3. The Olivet Discourse in the Synoptic Gospel accounts
  4. Paul’s letters to the Thessalonians.

This preview will not be able to fully develop all the tools being used in the book; that follows in painstaking detail. Various aspects tools of interpretation such as linearity, specific and unique events, multiple accounts, parallel accounts, gaps, dual focus will be glossed over in this opening section. In addition, some word study, while done in the rest of the book will be largely omitted in this brief synopsis.

(Answer: Tiffany, Carol, Betty, Alice, Sally, and Jane.)
The Olivet Discourse

The keystone for the Sequence of Events is Jesus’ prophetic Olivet Discourse. This passage is the fifth major discourse of the book of Matthew as it is constructed. This discourse also follows parallel construction with a broad overview beginning with Jesus’ answer to the disciple’s question at Mt 24:4 leading to the “end” at verse 14. A detailed parallel account follows which gets to the same “end,” namely the gathering of the Elect. The detailed parallel portion of the Olivet Discourse, covering the final end of the Church Age, reveals five specific and unique events which are the bridge between the one ‘seven’ of the book of Daniel and the chronology of the Seals/Trumpets in the book of Revelation.

15 "So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation,' spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. 18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. 22 "If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Messiah!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time. 26 "So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the wilderness,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. 29 "Immediately after the distress of those days " 'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.' 30 "Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

Analysis from a sequence of events point of view:

v. 15 – abomination (of) desolation standing in the Holy Place.
v. 16 – prayer for those in Judea (future Remnant)
v. 17 – warning to those in Judea
v. 18 – warning to those in Judea
v. 19 – descriptive
v. 20 – warning prayer for those in Judea
v. 21 – “unequaled” great tribulation
v. 22 – it is shortened for the sake of the Elect
v. 23 – warning to the Elect
v. 24 – warning to the Elect
v. 25 – declaration of prophetic truth
v. 26 – warning to the Elect
v. 27 – description of Jesus’ parousia (Greek for “coming”)
v. 28 – cryptic message (dealing with the nature of the Rapture)
v. 29 – immediately after great tribulation – (sequencing) – sun/moon/star event
v. 30 – sign of Son of Man
– Son of Man coming on the clouds
v. 31 – gathering of the Elect from the earth.

Dealing only with events; descriptive verses, simple declarations, various warnings and prayers are dropped. This distills the passage down to the actions which will happen. Taking just the simplest elements does not eliminate some of the other aspects… it’s just that they are not germane to the main plot in constructing the basic framework for a singular chronology. However, some important elements can later be woven into the sequence of events to cover some of the side issues which are present in the end-times, like concerning “those in Judea.” The order of events as Jesus listed the main ones are:
  • v. 15 Midpoint Abomination, which adds: standing in the “Holy Place”
  • v. 21 Great Tribulation, which is shortened by the:
  • v. 29 Sun/moon/star event, which heralds the Day of the Lord
  • v. 30 Sign of the Son of Man
  • v. 30 The Son of Man coming on the clouds
  • v. 31 Gathering Elect from the clouds
This linear narrative has five, important, specific and unique events in their proscribed order with the added benefit of having joining time stamps in two of them. This passage is the Keystone Passage for the Sequence of Events because it allows the harmonization of Daniel’s one ‘seven’ to the broad overview of the end-times in Revelation with the Seal/Scroll chronology.

The aspects of those in Judea fleeing, the bit of cryptic information about carcasses, and even the sign of the Son of Man are important and have a place in the final analysis, however, for simplicity’s sake this list boils down the Olivet Discourse’s detailed portion to its essential elements which are not only specific and unique, but are repeated in the Bible in other linear narratives. This makes the Olivet Discourse the Keystone Passage because it has five crucial, specific and unique events culminating in the Rapture of the Church – which is everyone’s key interest. What is interesting is that Jesus adds crucial information as well about the midpoint abomination which marries with another linear narrative in Paul’s second letter to the Thessalonians. Because of the details in each; there is a perfect match. Likewise, Jesus gives two important time elements: first the Great Tribulation is shortened, and immediately after it comes the sun/moon/star event.

Per your assertion above, it appears you may have fallen into the FALSE Daniel 9 ~7x70 = 490~, and the premise that ~Daniel's 70th week is the tribulation week~.

Please be aware that Daniel 9 has NOTHING to do with the Tribulation, except to provide that AFTER the seventy, "shall come" the one who brings the abomination of desolation. Also, please be aware that the seven and the sixty-two are not "weeks" -- per a falsely presumed concise Feminine gender text [i.e., ~sheba] --, but are instead a different duration per the inconcise Masculine gender text* [shibiym]. In fact, there is NOTHING about Daniel's prophecies (including Chapter 9) which is properly understood per the "classical" commentaries, including even some of the "historical" assertions.

As such, you might be well advised to follow the Rev. 13:5 duration of 42 months as the TOTAL tribulation duration.

Moving on...

Daniel 9:27

Another major, prophetic, linear narrative which should be foundational for anyone's eschatology is Daniel 9:26-27. Looking only at the second verse for the moment is the one ‘seven’ which has yet to be fulfilled (despite some eschatological schools’ opinions to the contrary).

He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him."

The word “confirm” comes to us from the King James, and translators for 400 years have stuck with an obsolete meaning; “confirm” has too much positive connotation to accurately portray how the Hebrew word, “gabar” is being used. While as a verb, gabar simply means “to prevail,” but as stated, “forced” best fits the action. The inflected verb is in the third person so it includes a pronoun and that reverts, according to Hebrew grammar, to the last person mentioned: in this case, the “ruler who will come.”

Likewise, in the second sentence up to the prepositional phrase “…until the end…” the original Hebrew is extremely difficult reading literally: “on wing – abominations – desolation.” The reader should understand that all the other words (thirteen in this case versus four in the Hebrew) are added in translation. This difficult passage reminds me of another passage in Daniel where God writes: “MENE, MENE, TEKEL, PARSIN.” These simple words were undecipherable by the wisest of Belshazzar’s advisors.

Widely accepted as “abomination of desolation,” the word “kanap,” “wing,” has led to various interpretations. The NIV here concludes it is in the Temple, but that blends the Olivet Discourse’s reference to the Holy Place with Paul’s 2nd Thessalonians’ chapter 2. In an earlier edition, the NIV stated the abomination was placed in a “wing” of the Temple, but the Temple doesn’t have “wings” like the White House. Both editions of the NIV lose the meaning of “wing.” The King James uses the word figuratively, which is allowed in the picture language of Hebrew: “overshadowing.” “Wings” have multiple figurative meanings, like “power” as well. I prefer yet another figurative use for wing which matches another Daniel account about what I think is the same timeframe in Daniel 11:45-12:1 where the King of the North rushes out like a flood, i.e.: “quickly.”

Blending in Daniel 11:45, which matches Luke 21:20 for a moment, the King of the North encamps around Jerusalem with his army. This means that during a time of “peace,” he has invaded the Holy Land. Rather than an overshadowing of abominations, this midpoint development happens rapidly when overwhelming force literally floods the land and brings the ruler who will come to the apex of his meteoric rise: being crowned as a god in the Temple and presented with a talking image of himself.
The breakdown of Daniel 9:27 then centers around three actions covered within it:
  • Covenant with many prevailed by the (Roman) ruler who will come.
  • Midpoint Abomination
  • End of one ‘seven’ with desolations poured out on the desolator.

Now, between the Olivet Discourse and Daniel, the easy match, provided by Jesus and referencing Daniel, is the midpoint abomination. Since the Great Tribulation is shortened, (literally, amputated in the Greek as in to “dock” an animal’s tail) it's fairly easy to see that the Sun/moon/star event comes well before the end, since lengthening the Great Tribulation to the rest of the one ‘seven’ begs the question as to how Christians could live without substance while being literally hunted down; and so, I'll sequence it that way.
  • Covenant with many prevailed by the Roman ruler who will come.
  • Midpoint Abomination
  • Great Tribulation
  • Sun/moon/star event.
  • Sign of the Son of Man
  • The Son of Man coming on the clouds
  • Gathering Elect from the clouds
  • End of one seven with desolations poured out on the Roman desolator.
Let's include Luke's take in chapter 21. He has a slightly different sequence:
  • Armies surround Jerusalem
  • Great Tribulation
  • Signs in the Sun, moon, and stars
  • Stand up: Redemption
Between the middle two events, we have some different descriptions.

As the anti-Christ has to arrive at Jerusalem before being presented with the talking image of himself in the Temple, the armies surrounding Jerusalem is on the eve of the midpoint abomination. This would align the Ezekiel invasion of Israel to this movement of troops, i.e., the anti-Christ is the one who breaks the peace treaty he forced upon Israel. By dismantling her defenses (because she used a nuke?) he was finally able to conquer
this thorn in his side...

The stand up / Redemption is the Gathering of the Elect. So putting the lists together brings:
  • Covenant with many prevailed by the Roman ruler who will come
  • Armies surround Jerusalem
  • Midpoint Abomination
  • Great Tribulation
  • Sun/moon/star event
  • Sign of the Son of Man
  • The Son of Man coming on the clouds
  • Redemption / Gathering Elect from the clouds
  • End of one seven with desolations poured out on the Roman desolator
Now to work up to Revelations' parallel accounts.

Revelation 4-11 (exclusive)

The first real match of a specific and unique event we have is with the sixth Seal, so I'm going to pick up the action there in the Seal/Scroll chronology of chapters 4 through 11 (minus the sidebar account of the Temple and the Two Witnesses found in 11:1-13) and take it to the end. Rather than replicate whole chapters starting with the sixth Seal, only an outline form of events will be presented. This is to simplify the action and concentrate on the big items first; details are important for further integration, but first the rough framework needs to be in place.
  • Rev 6:12-13 - Sun/moon/star sign
  • Rev 6:14 - Scrolling of the sky
  • Rev 7:4-8 - “Mustering” the 144,000
  • Rev 7:9-17 - Great Multitude arrives in Heaven out of the Great Tribulation
  • Rev 8:1 - Scroll opened with breaking of seventh Seal
  • Rev 8:7 - First Trumpet fire and blood 1/3 of earth burned
  • Rev 8:8 - Second Trumpet 1/3 of sea to blood
  • Rev 8:10 - Third Trumpet 1/3 of water bitter
  • Rev 8:12 - Fourth Trumpet 1/3 of light struck
  • Rev 9:1-11 - Fifth Trumpet Abyss opened 5 months torment
  • Rev 9:13-21 - Sixth Trumpet WWIII - 1/3 of man killed
  • Rev 10:1-4/Rev 11:15 - Seventh Trumpet (no desolation mentioned)
  • Rev 11:19 - Earthquake
There is an obvious match with the Sun/moon/star sign which Jesus gave us in the Olivet Discourse. This is the only link of the seven Seals in Revelation to the one ‘seven’ of Gabriel’s one ‘seven’ in Daniel. Most commentators link the Seals to the one ‘seven’ on a one-to-one basis. However, the aspect of the Great Tribulation being shortened as one would dock an animal’s tail suggests its length as being shorter than a year and a half. So linking the Seals one-to-one to the one ‘seven’ is an assumption; indeed, I think the first four Seals, as Spirits at work in the world (Zec 6:5), are already preparing the world for the rapid changes which come about in the one ‘seven.’

I am going to link the scrolling of the sky to the sign of the Son of Man. The only other prophetic bit which marries Rev 6:14 is Isaiah 34:4. Indeed, while it can be said to be the source for John’s writing by some, it comes from a passage referencing the Day of the Lord’s vengeance – which can be referred back to Isaiah 61:2 with Jesus’ Second Advent. The scrolling of the sky also completes a series of opposites in the Day of the Lord, or as Zechariah 14:7 states: “in the evening, it will be light.”

Sequencing the 144,000 as mustering is in reference to another passage in Isaiah 13:3/5. Here, it comes before the arrival of the Elect's gathering verified by an Elder as being out of the Great Tribulation. In the Olivet Discourse, Jesus said that the Great Tribulation came right before the sign of the Day of the Lord: the sun/moon/star event. So, the sixth Seal sun/moon/star event comes after the Great Tribulation. That Gathering of the Elect could come before or after the 144,000, but it certainly comes before their arrival as the Great Multitude (owing to the fact that the Dead in Christ could number in the billions). Putting the 144,000's Mustering first before the Gathering of the Elect would seem to be an assumption at this point; but another account will prove that sequence order to be correct.

First, aligning the two lists around shared the sun/moon/star event means most of Revelation chapters 6-11 happen afterward (in the latter part of the sequence of events compiled so far). Secondly, the 144,000 are interjected between Jesus’ arrival and the gathering of the Elect. Finally, the gathering of the Elect results in their being delivered to the “barn” of Heaven reveals this sequence of events:
  • Covenant with many prevailed by the Roman ruler who will come
  • Armies surround Jerusalem
  • Midpoint Abomination
  • Great Tribulation
  • Sun/moon/star event
  • Scrolling of the sky = sign of the Son of Man
  • Mustering the 144,000
  • The Son of Man coming on the clouds
  • Redemption / Gathering Elect from the clouds
  • Great Multitude arrives in Heaven out of the Great Tribulation
  • Scroll opened with breaking of seventh Seal
  • First Trumpet fire and blood – 1/3rd of earth burned
  • Second Trumpet - 1/3rd of sea to blood
  • Third Trumpet - 1/3rd of water bitter
  • Fourth Trumpet - 1/3rd of light struck
  • Fifth Trumpet Abyss opened 5 months torment
  • Sixth Trumpet WWIII - 1/3rd of man killed
  • Seventh Trumpet - end with desolations poured out on the Roman desolator
  • Earthquake
DaDad said:
Per your assertion above, it appears you may have fallen into the FALSE Daniel 9 ~7x70 = 490~, and the premise that ~Daniel's 70th week is the tribulation week~.
Ah no. I have not fallen into saying the one 'seven' is the "tribulation week."

Revelation chapters 13-16 (inclusive)

Now let's look at the parallel account with Revelation of chapters 13-16 inclusive, which I call the Rise and Fall of the anti-Christ. I think the whole of the one 'seven' is detailed here to give us some added information which is missing from other accounts, mainly the seventh Trumpet, but also about the 144,000 and about the nature of the Day of the Lord and some things peculiar to the sixth Seal which lead to much confusion about the Wrath of God first mentioned in writing in Revelation chapter 6.

In outline form from the four chapters of Revelation 13 through 16 here are the “events:”
  • The rise of the fourth terrible beast of a nation out of the “sea”
Worship of the beast (rebellion against God)

[*]Authority given (by God) to the beast of a man for one-half of the one 'seven'
[*]He wages war against the Saints
[*]We are to endure patiently (remember Rev 3:10 and John 17:15)
[*]Rise of the false prophet with miracles and 'fire from the sky'
[*]Erection of the talking image of the anti-Christ: the midpoint abomination
[*]Two laws which make the Great Tribulation the worst time ever for the Church in terms of persecution
[*]144,000 assembled on Mount Zion
[*]3 Angels fulfill the Great Commission / Warn the wicked
[*]Son of Man coming on the clouds
[*]Harvest from the clouds
[*]Avenging Angels - Blood and Fire
[*]First Bowl - Sores on Man
[*]Second Bowl - All sea to blood
[*]Third Bowl - All water to blood
[*]Fourth Bowl - Seared by heat
[*]Fifth Bowl - Satan's kingdom in the dark
[*]Sixth Bowl - Way for the King of the East - Battle at Armageddon N/S/E
[*]Seventh Bowl - Earth changing earthquake
Working backwards at first, in sequencing this account to the previous compilation, the Bowl Judgments come last - it says so in the Harvest account in chapter 15. Previously the seventh Trumpet announcement was broken off in the previous Seal/Scroll chronology in Revelation chapter 10 when John is told not to write and only later summed up with no details of the desolations it ensues being revealed whatsoever. So now God shows to John what he didn't write about in the Seal/Scroll chronology: the desolations of the third Woe. They are all of the first "thirds" Trumpet Judgments but now - they're total. The depth of God’s Wrath is displayed in the third Woe.

Notice that the end comes with an earth-changing Great earthquake. This marries what chapter 11 had at its end and in addition, what concludes the sidebar account of Revelation 11:1-13. There are parallel accounts within the book of Revelation because there is so much action taking place, and one of the clues that these take place is repeated events. This is also the reason the book of Revelation is so hard to read when read like a novel; the action seems to go back and forth.

So the easiest sequencing of all is to preserve the finality of the Bowl Judgments. They complete the third Woe of the seventh Trumpet. The Bowl Judgments can be viewed as the revealed third Woe; they follow the seventh Trumpet.

  • Seventh Trumpet
First Bowl - Sores on Man
  • Second Bowl - All sea to blood
  • Third Bowl - All water to blood
  • Fourth Bowl - Seared by heat
  • Fifth Bowl - Satan's kingdom in the dark
  • Sixth Bowl - Way for the King of the East - Battle at Armageddon N/S/E
Two Witnesses die from Demon from Abyss.

[*]Seventh Bowl

Starting at the beginning of Revelation chapters 13 through 16 now, the beast of a nation rises before the beast of a man is given authority to rule for 42 months doing pretty much as he pleases without interference. This comes before the midpoint abomination now revealed as the erection of the talking image of the same anti-Christ by the false prophet who is introduced as being the source for “fire falling from the sky” which could be an apt description of a nuclear bomb explosion. That seminal event worthy of mention happens during the first half of the one ‘seven’ and before the midpoint abomination as well. The first four main bullet points precede the midpoint abomination and are put first. They explain the source for the midpoint abomination and the Great Tribulation and are a match.

Next, in response to the events of the antagonists, in Revelation chapters 14, the 144,000 are mustered before the Harvest. The assumption provided in the Seal/Scroll account combined with the Olivet Discourse is validated by the order given here. This is often the case; one account will allow alternate interpretations. Only when referenced against another account, whether multiple or parallel, is an additional fact provided which clears up the ambiguity.

In the sixth Seal, John only hears the number, here we see them and we are given additional information about the 144,000. One, the Lord is standing on Mount Zion. Two, the 144,000 are assembled on Mount Zion. Three, they never leave Jesus' side, so wherever Jesus goes, so goes His Army. These are crack troops, and they help tramp out the Wrath of God as portrayed in Joel on the Day of the Lord. (Jesus' Bride is safe at home in Heaven with the Father as all good Grooms would love and protect their Bride.)

The Pre-Trib and Post-Trib schools of eschatology insist that Jesus never touches down on the earth prior to gathering the Elect from the clouds. That reading from First and Second Thessalonians takes the vision of Christ coming on the clouds as a singular event. However, Paul can omit an event and not violate the overall sequence of events.

Jesus’ return was foretold at His Ascension and in Acts 1:11, we are told that He will return as He went up. Therefore, I expect Jesus will part the night sky with the scrolling of the sky to reveal the light of Heaven, and descending upon the clouds, will touch down on the Mount of Olives, splitting it in two as described in Zechariah 14:4. This causes the second earthquake of the sixth Seal (v.14) and the twin hills are the Mount Zion of Revelation chapter 14.

The 3 Angels come before the end, just like Jesus said in Mt 24:14; the Church cannot fulfill the Great Commission. Also too, their warning to the wicked that God is coming in Wrath has them hiding in the caves in the sixth Seal before Jesus actually comes to Harvest the Elect. This explains the first writing of “wrath” in the book of Revelation at 6:16 and why the wicked, who have no discernment of God’s Plan, so plainly know it is coming nevertheless: they’re told explicitly and they got the message.

The imagery of “one like the son of man” is the third time Jesus is depicted on the clouds of Heaven gathering the Elect in the Bible. First foretold in the Olivet Discourse, (and the second time some years later is included in Paul’s very first letter to the Churches: 1st Thessalonians 4:16-17) this third mention by John matches previous two bullet points showing Jesus coming on the clouds and gathering the Elect. Both accounts intersect and will be combined on this common event.

The final portion of chapter 14 has two avenging Angels. The first supplies the Blood present on the Day of the Lord Wrath. The second has charge of the fire. Fire is another component of Old Testament Day of the Lord Wrath and it is the first element of God’s Wrath from the Trumpets. As this Wrath is to only burn a “third” of the Earth, it is “managed.” The Angel supplying Blood literally fills the Land around the “City.”

Knowing there are two battles said to be fought on the Day of the Lord in the Old Testament, one around Jerusalem and the other in the Valley of Decision, which scholars link to the Valley of Jehoshaphat around Bethlehem to the south, the city would then translate to Jerusalem, and the Land would be Israel. As blood both defiles and redeems, (a paradox preserved in the dual meaning for a single verb in the Hebrew) God is literally wreaking desolation and in turn, washing the Holy Land of the sin that had been present.

The aspect having Redemption being immediately followed by Wrath in a reading of Revelation chapter 14 follows the example in the broad overview of the end in the previous Seal/Scroll chronology of chapters 4-11. There, the first Trumpet of God’s Wrath follows within an hour of the Great Multitude arriving in Heaven. This aspect of Rescue/Wrath which emerges in both accounts marries as well with the descriptive verse of this time from Jesus in the Olivet Discourse with the example of Noah and Lot who were both rescued and then immediately God’s Wrath rained down.

This distinction marks this eschatology as what is commonly called: Pre-Wrath.

The aspect of Rescue/Wrath both fall on the Day of the Lord. So, I'm going to indent those events which I think occur with the Day of the Lord starting with the Sun/moon/star event and call the whole series the "Day of the Lord." The two-fold nature of this day can be seen in prophecy with one of foreboding and clouds, while the other half is full of fire, smoke and blood. Those visions can be played out in literally two days just like Rosh ha-Shanah is a two-day Holy Day. Rosh ha-Shanah starts with the Last Trumpet, and begins a Festival of Trumpets. That figurative analogy is seen here literally.

So with that bit of logic, let's put the two sequences together around the common points:
  • The rise of the fourth terrible beast of a nation out of the “sea.”
Worship of the beast (rebellion against God)

[*]Covenant with many prevailed by the Roman ruler who will come.
[*]Authority given (by God) to the beast of a man for one-half of the one 'seven.'
[*]He wages war against the Saints.
[*]We are to endure patiently (remember Rev 3:10 and John 17:15)
[*]Rise of the false prophet with miracles and 'fire from the sky.'
[*]Armies surround Jerusalem.
[*]Midpoint Abomination Erection of the talking image of the anti-Christ
  • Two laws which make the Great Tribulation the worst time ever for the Church in terms of persecution.
  • Great Tribulation.

[*]Sun/moon/star event Day of the LORD.
  • Scrolling of the sky = sign of the Son of Man
  • Jesus touches down upon the earth.
  • Mustering the 144,000 assembled on Mount Zion.
  • 3 Angels fulfill the Great Commission / Warn the wicked
  • Son of Man coming on the clouds.
  • Harvest Redemption / Gathering Elect from the clouds.
  • Great Multitude arrives in Heaven out of the Great Tribulation.

[*]Scroll opened with breaking of seventh Seal.
[*]First Trumpet fire and blood – 1/3rd of earth burned
  • Avenging Angels – supplying Blood and managing the Fire.

[*]Second Trumpet - 1/3rd of sea to blood
[*]Third Trumpet - 1/3rd of water bitter
[*]Fourth Trumpet - 1/3rd of light struck
[*]Fifth Trumpet Abyss opened 5 months torment.
[*]Sixth Trumpet WWIII - 1/3rd of man killed
[*]Seventh Trumpet
  • First Bowl - Sores on Man
  • Second Bowl - All sea to blood
  • Third Bowl - All water to blood
  • Fourth Bowl - Seared by heat
  • Fifth Bowl - Satan's kingdom in the dark
  • Sixth Bowl - Way for the King of the East - Battle at Armageddon N/S/E
  • Seventh Bowl –
end with desolations poured out on the Roman desolator
  • Earth changing earthquake.

Notice that every sequence order from each original list remains intact! No shuffling of facts is required. While students of other eschatologies might balk at how I define meaning for various words (confirm, midpoint abomination, Elect, etc.) deep interpretation is not required to blend Scripture –as it is worded– into this sequence of events. The fact that each individual account’s sequence remains intact, then verifies the
correct ordering of the whole.

The sidebar account of the Temple
and the Two Witnesses in Revelation 11:1-13
The sidebar account, kind of like when a court trial is interrupted by some legal point which has the Judge conferring with the lawyers, happens when John is told not to write.
John is told to measure the Temple, but we never hear of that... right? No, actually, you can read about John measuring the Temple way back in Ezekiel. In the final chapters describing the “third” Temple, Ezekiel sees a man (in bronze – imbued with Heaven) measuring the Temple just as John was ordered.

In outlining the events in the sidebar account the first thing to jump out as a set of facts is that it has two halves in it. This omits the midpoint abomination, but an omission is not a commission of an error in prophecy: the sequence remains intact. The actual splitting of the one ‘seven’ was initiated by Gabriel when he told Daniel in the middle of the one ‘seven,’ so what is presented in Revelation is not at odds with Daniel 9:27, but instead, compliments it. The mention of two halves of the one ‘seven’ here are the first two of five times this phrase is repeated in the next two chapters – and repetition of a specific and unique event is indicative of parallel account construction within a book.
  • Temple w/ Gentiles 42 mos.
  • Two Witnesses 1260 days - call down Wrath
  • Two Witnesses die from Demon from Abyss.
  • Two Witnesses arise.
  • Earth changing earthquake.
As for placement, it would be easy to say 1st half / 2nd half just because the Bible ordered them in that fashion narrating about the Temple and then the Two Witnesses - but there is reason to do that besides the given order. Starting with the given order of first half/second half would be logical because this is a linear narrative, and that is the basic pattern for most of the Bible, but there are other reasons buttressing that assessment as well, they reinforce through logic so that taking the events listed in the sidebar account
as linear are not an assumption.

In order for the Abomination to stand in front of the Curtain as Jesus said with the "Holy Place," and to actually be in the Temple as Paul stated (Paul never lived without a Temple in place) There is going to have to be a Temple built - and along the lines of what John measured. The Temple must exist (or be built) in the first half of the one ‘seven.’

Now the Witnesses precede Jesus, so they could come in the first half, but as God's Wrath of desolations which have been decreed doesn't fall until after the midpoint abomination – and the Two Witnesses can call down some of it – then they must (at least) occupy some of the second half of the one ‘seven.’ The Two Witnesses have to occupy the whole second half because their end coincides with the end of the one 'seven' which has such a great earthquake in chapter 11. The 1260 days comes after the midpoint.

This then makes sense: They precede Christ’s parousia, call down some of God's desolations, and are killed by a Demon who is let out when the fifth Trumpet opens the abyss. Then, they arise right before an earth-changing Great Earthquake which happens to finish the one ‘seven.’ So, they are God’s first response to the midpoint abomination and they see God’s Wrath through to the end.

The final earthquake of the one ‘seven’ sets up a condition in the Millennium. The first earthquake of the sixth Seal shakes the earth to leave that which is unshakeable, like finding the truth. The second earthquake of the sixth Seal, when the Mount of Olives is split in two, changes the entire earth’s relative geography much like phenomenal earthquakes of years just past have “rang the earth” like a bell. While the second moves mountains, this final third one eliminates them. This provides for a condition in the Millennium whereby rain is not determined by mechanical lifting, bringing forth both rain forests and corresponding deserts, but by Jesus depending upon a nation’s obedience to worship.

So our list now looks like this:
  • The rise of the fourth terrible beast of a nation out of the “sea”
Worship of the beast (rebellion against God)

[*]Covenant with many prevailed by the Roman ruler who will come
[*]Authority given (by God) to the beast of a man for one-half of the one 'seven'
[*]Temple w/ Gentiles 42 mos.
[*]He wages war against the Saints
[*]We are to endure patiently (remember Rev 3:10 and John 17:15)
[*]Rise of the false prophet with miracles and 'fire from the sky'
[*]Armies surround Jerusalem
[*]Midpoint Abomination Erection of the talking image of the anti-Christ
  • Two laws which make the Great Tribulation the worst time ever
  • Two Witnesses 1260 days - call down Wrath
  • Great Tribulation

[*]Sun/moon/star event Day of the LORD
  • Scrolling of the sky = sign of the Son of Man
  • Jesus touches down upon the earth
  • Mustering the 144,000 assembled on Mount Zion
  • 3 Angels fulfill the Great Commission / Warn the wicked
  • Son of Man coming on the clouds
  • Harvest Redemption / Gathering Elect from the clouds
  • Great Multitude arrives in Heaven out of the Great Tribulation
  • Scroll opened with breaking of seventh Seal.

[*]First Trumpet fire and blood – 1/3rd of earth burned
  • Avenging Angels – supplying Blood and managing the Fire

Wrath of God following the Day of the Lord
  • Second Trumpet - 1/3rd of sea to blood
  • Third Trumpet - 1/3rd of water bitter
  • Fourth Trumpet - 1/3rd of light struck
  • Fifth Trumpet Abyss opened 5 months torment
  • Sixth Trumpet WWIII - 1/3rdf of man killed
  • Seventh Trumpet
First Bowl - Sores on Man
  • Second Bowl - All sea to blood
  • Third Bowl - All water to blood
  • Fourth Bowl - Seared by heat
  • Fifth Bowl - Satan's kingdom in the dark
  • Sixth Bowl - Way for the King of the East - Battle at Armageddon
Two Witnesses die from Demon from Abyss

[*]Seventh Bowl –
  • end with desolations poured out on the Roman desolator
  • Two Witnesses arise
  • Earth changing earthquake

Notice that the Two Witnesses are a direct response to the midpoint abomination, the come as the Great Tribulation goes into effect. They are the Marines of God's Army and the anti-Christ is unable to subdue them; the Two Witnesses can destroy any who oppose them.

NOTE: Wow. I didn't know the text was changing as I copied and pasted. I think I've cleared up the random switching to the order and provided all necessary color cues, but if there is any point where you say, 'hey, something's not right here,' please point it out to me and I will either fix the problem or explain how one follows the other.

The Fourth Beast of Daniel 7

7 “After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns. 8 “While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth that spoke boastfully. 9 “As I looked, “thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze. 10 A river of fire was flowing, coming out from before him. Thousands upon thousands attended him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. The court was seated, and the books were opened. 11 “Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking. I kept looking until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire. 12 (The other beasts had been stripped of their authority, but were allowed to live for a period of time.) 13 “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. 14 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

Now, I'll sum the events described, which will leave out a lot of description, but this is just to get the big picture. This chapter is written in three parts: the vision, the inquiry and the answer. In this fashion, the original vision is gone over three times. Each time reinforces the sequence of events and adds additional information. Here is a synopsis of the vision:

  • v.7 Rise of the fourth Beast of a Nation
  • v.8 Rise of the little horn (anti-Christ)
  • v.9 Court seated; books opened (among them the Scroll)
  • v.11 Beast of a Nation destroyed; Beast of a Man thrown into Hell
  • v.12 First three beasts allowed to live a while (30/45 day periods)
(they are contemporary to the fourth and make it up: Rev 13:2)
  • v.13 Son of Man arriving in Heaven
  • v.14 Establishment of Millennium reign of Christ

Next is the inquiry by Daniel:

15 “I, Daniel, was troubled in spirit, and the visions that passed through my mind disturbed me. 16 I approached one of those standing there and asked him the true meaning of all this. “So he told me and gave me the interpretation of these things: 17 ‘The four great beasts are four kingdoms that will rise from the earth. 18 But the saints of the Most High will receive the kingdom and will possess it forever—yes, for ever and ever.’ 19 “Then I wanted to know the true meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others and most terrifying, with its iron teeth and bronze claws—the beast that crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. 20 I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and about the other horn that came up, before which three of them fell—the horn that looked more imposing than the others and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully. 21 As I watched, this horn was waging war against the saints and defeating them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom.

  • v.17 End-time transition from the rule of man
  • v.18 -to the Rule of Christ.
  • v.20 Ten horns (Kings), three usurped by one little horn
  • v.21 Little horn waging war on the Saints
  • v.22a God pronounces Judgment in favor of the Saints
  • v.22b Saints possess the Kingdom

Again, this does not conflict with the vision. It is laid out in a linear order after an introductory summation. Then the 'one of those standing there' gives this full explanation in answer:

23 “He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. 24 The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. 25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time. 26 “‘But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever. 27 Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints, the people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.’ 28 “This is the end of the matter. I, Daniel, was deeply troubled by my thoughts, and my face turned pale, but I kept the matter to myself.”

  • v.23 Rise of fourth Beast of a Nation. It will (future tense) devour the whole world.
  • (The King of the North is triumphant over the South and East at Armageddon)
  • v.24 Little horn "hamstrings" three "Kings."
  • (Notice the ten Kings come from this Kingdom, they don't have their own Kingdoms.)
  • v.25 Oppress the Saints for half of the one 'seven.'
(Notice that we are also "handed over." This is exactly what Jesus said would happen in the Olivet Discourse.)
  • v.26a Court (of God) will seat
  • v.26b Little horn's power destroyed
  • v.27 Set up of Millennium Kingdom ruled by the Saints

From these three parallel arrays, we can construct a single timeline:
  • Rise of fourth Beast of a Nation with ten Kings (Council of Ministers)
  • Little horn "hamstrings" three "Kings" to rise to power over the Beast of a Nation
  • He wages war and oppress the Saints for half of the one 'seven'
  • Court of God is seated; books opened (Rev 4-8:1)
  • Little horn's power destroyed
  • Beast of a Nation destroyed
  • Beast of a Man thrown into Hell
  • First three beasts allowed to live a while (30/45 day periods from Dan 12)
  • Son of Man returns to Heaven
  • Establishment of Millennium reign of Christ
  • Saints rule the earth

The first thing we can see alike is the rise of the fourth beast of a nation and then the rise of the beast of a man. Then we can see that the Saints are oppressed, waged war upon. These match the emerging overall sequence of events for the first half. The additional information supplied through Daniel has to do with the political maneuvering that the anti-Christ uses to come to power. In the unabridged book I detail how the word “uproot” is not agricultural in usage, but can also mean to “hamstring.”

The Books could determine who is to be gathered up or alternately represent the Scroll from the Seal/Scroll chronology. Telling which is not possible, only that it precedes the Wrath of God. An assumption here will be to link it to the very important opening of the Scroll which only Jesus is able to do, and it brings God’s desolations to the little horn and sees to his destruction. This is an assumption and could very well be in error; without further information, no firm determination is possible. Now that we have the combined array of Daniel 7, how does this compare with the list which has already been compiled?

The little horn’s power is destroyed through the Trumpet Judgments. The beast of a nation is destroyed at Armageddon. The component three nations are allowed to continue for a while. This verse means that the beasts of Daniel 7 cannot be identical to the parts of the statue in Daniel 2, whose previous portions are in the ash heap of history; all four end-time beasts are contemporary to each other. In Revelation 13:2, the first three are shown to make up the body of the fourth terrible beast which is the “head.” When the head is lost, the body parts are no longer united, but live for a while.

In Daniel 12 we learn there are 1290 days and 1335 days until safety – in the Millennium. This equates to a 30-day and a 45-day period sandwiched between the one ‘seven’ and the Millennium. This is largely for the Remnant to come to Mount Zion, and the accompanying encampment on God’s Mountain which marries with the Sukkot from the Jewish Festivals – which are its own study for a pattern for the end-times. The Millennium isn’t mentioned per se, but the rule of God through the Kingdom already prophesized in Daniel 2, becomes the norm and the Saints reign: quite in opposition to their previous subjugation.

Can we then combine Daniel 7 to the overall sequence of events? Absolutely! There is no discrepancy between the two.

  • The rise of the fourth terrible beast of a nation out of the “sea” with ten Kings (Council of Ministers)
  • Little horn "hamstrings" three "Kings" to rise to power over the Beast of a Nation
  • Worship of the beast (rebellion against God)

If you look carefully, you will see that I have not disturbed the individual order of any account. What happens as other major accounts are added in is that missing details fill the gaps. At no time does the overall sequence violate any individual prophecy. What is exciting though is that they all agree with one another.

Thank you folks for caring again!

I found it astounding that this thread doesn't mention the non-linear preliminary miraculous judgments from heaven (wrath) in Rev.8:7-9:21??? Especially the 5th and 6th Trumpets of delusions??? All coming to pass today!!!

Actually, I did already. Now why would you call the 5th and 6th Trumpet Judgments non-linear or Trumpets of delusion? I'm sorry, those two statements (non-lnear and delusional) are not logical.
Revelation 19:1 - 20:15
It starts out right before the last battle after the sixth Bowl Judgment when the ways are made for the Kings of the East and Armageddon is about to commence.
  • Rev 19:1-4 - The Great Multitude and the 24 Elders rejoice in Heaven
  • Rev 19:14 - Jesus and His army (the 144,000) go out to do battle
  • Rev 19:20 - Victory at Armageddon: anti-Christ and false prophet captured
They are judged and thrown while yet alive into Hell

[*]Rev 20:2-3 - Satan imprisoned
[*]Rev 20:4-5 - Martyrs made alive / First Resurrection complete.
[*]Rev 20:6 – Millennium
[*]Rev 20:7 – Satan released
[*]Rev 20:8 – battle at the end of the Millennium / all destroyed
[*]Rev 20:11-15 – Great White Throne Judgment of the Dead
So let's add this to our list:

The first two points come before the seventh Bowl. The sixth Bowl of the one ‘seven’ has the armies of the world coming to the hill country of Ephraim. In this scene in Heaven, the Great Multitude is heard but not seen. The distinction of the Great Multitude not being present shows that God does not need billions of souls to take on hundreds of millions when He goes out with His army. As God did not need thousands for Gideon to take on the Midianites, so too does Jesus not need all His Bride to wage war. The idea that the Church can conquer the world, as most Post-Trib eschatology places us, takes away from Christ’s Glory and Power.

The third bullet point comes with the seventh Trumpet and nears its completion. The judgment of the two most evil men follows. There may some time in this. In the broad overview of the end in Revelation chapters 4 through 11, after the completion of the one ‘seven’ is the time “has come” which means it is imminent, for judging the dead – the two captured – and rewarding the Saints.

Judging them to Hell comes after the Earth-changing Great Earthquake, and then the rest follow the one 'seven.'

  • The rise of the fourth terrible beast of a nation out of the “sea”
with ten Kings (Council of Ministers)
  • Little horn "hamstrings" three "Kings" to rise to power over the Beast of a Nation
  • Worship of the beast (rebellion against God)

[*]Covenant with many prevailed by the Roman ruler who will come
[*]Authority given (by God) to the beast of a man for one-half of the one 'seven'
  • Temple w/ Gentiles 42 mos.
  • He wages war against the Saints
  • We are to endure patiently (remember Rev 3:10 and John 17:15)
  • Rise of the false prophet with miracles and 'fire from the sky'

  • Books / Scroll opened with breaking of seventh Seal

[*]First Trumpet fire and blood – 1/3rd of earth burned
  • Avenging Angels – supplying Blood and managing the Fire

[*]Wrath of God following the Day of the Lord
[*]Second Trumpet - 1/3rd of sea to blood
[*]Third Trumpet - 1/3rd of water bitter
[*]Fourth Trumpet - 1/3rd of light struck
[*]Fifth Trumpet Abyss opened 5 months torment
[*]Sixth Trumpet WWIII - 1/3rdf of man killed
[*]Seventh Trumpet
  • First Bowl - Sores on Man
  • Second Bowl - All sea to blood
  • Third Bowl - All water to blood
  • Fourth Bowl - Seared by heat
  • Fifth Bowl - Satan's kingdom in the dark
  • Sixth Bowl - Way for the King of the East - Battle at Armageddon
Two Witnesses die from Demon from Abyss.
  • The Great Multitude and the 24 Elders rejoice in Heaven
  • Jesus and His army go out to do battle

[*]Seventh Bowl –
[*]end with desolations poured out on the Roman desolator
[*]Victory at Armageddon
[*]anti-Christ and false prophet captured
[*]Two Witnesses arise
[*] Earth changing earthquake

[*]End of the one ‘seven’
[*]First three beasts allowed to live a while (30/45 day periods)
[*]Christ returns to Heaven
  • Beast of a Man thrown into Hell
  • Satan imprisoned
  • Martyrs made alive
  • Rewarding the Saints

[*]Establishment of Millennium reign of Christ
  • Saints rule the earth

[*]Satan released at end of Millennium
  • Revolt of the nations / their destruction

[*]Great White Throne Judgment

So we see a natural end repeated four times in the book of Revelation, 11:13 at the end of the sidebar account, 11:19 at the end of the Seal/Scroll chronology, 16:20-21 at the end of the Harvest account of the one 'seven', and 19:20 as the narrative continues right before the end and advances into the Millennium and beyond for all eternity.

2nd Thessalonians Chapter 2

Rather than go over 2Th 2, which is another major linear narrative any good eschatology will have to build upon in order to have a complete framework, I'll just get to my conclusion which comes after six pages of source material later in this book.

The initial list starts out fairly simple, but it is made difficult because the order Paul words it. He says this and that don't happen UNTIL this other thing and that other thing happen. So the order isn't as clear-cut as it can be, and some people mix up the one being removed as being the Church - which is an easy enough error to make.

However, the one being removed, while known to the Thessalonians is lost to us - but one thing, the one has to be removed BEFORE the Man of Lawlessness will be revealed -
and then the Day of Christ will come.

The basic list is:
  • The Rebellion
  • Man of lawlessness is revealed
  • Second coming of our Lord
  • Our being gathering to Him
    Dead in Christ
  • Those who are alive and are left

And after incorporating a lot of the other things Paul lists, I come up with this refined sequence-of-events:
  • The rebellion occurs
  • Opposition and exaltation
  • The “one” removed from the midst
  • Setting himself up as God
  • The man of lawlessness revealed
  • Jesus comes
  • Our being gathering to Him
    Dead in Christ
  • Those who are alive and are left

[*]The man of lawlessness is undone
[*]He is done away with entirely.
Now the first thing to observe is the match up with the long list we've already generated. The rebellion, along with the Opposition and exaltation match up very well with the worship of the beast (rebellion against God). The one removed happens before the midpoint abomination when the anti-Christ is fully revealed. Jesus comes on the Day of the Lord, what Paul calls the Day of Christ. Since Jesus is Lord and Christ, the two are synonymous.

Our being gathered to Him is exactly like what happens on the Day of the Lord passage in the Olivet Discourse and the Harvest Account of the one 'seven.' This naturally results in the Great Multitude coming into Heaven after the sixth Seal Day of the Lord
sun/moon/star event.

After we go up, the anti-Christ is undone. He faces an ever-downward spiral of desolation after desolation for about three years and in my estimation a bit more. In the end: he is done away with entirely as he is thrown into Hell. Putting the two lists together results in an overall sequence-of-events which preserves every major eschatological narrative:
  • The rise of the fourth terrible beast of a nation out of the “sea”
with ten Kings (Council of Ministers)
  • Little horn "hamstrings" three "Kings" to rise to power over the Beast of a Nation
  • Rebellion occurs
  • Opposition and exaltation

[*]Covenant with many prevailed by the Roman ruler who will come.
[*]Authority given (by God) to the beast of a man for one-half of the one 'seven'
  • He wages war against the Saints
  • We are to endure patiently (remember Rev 3:10 and John 17:15)
  • Temple w/ Gentiles 42 mos.
  • Rise of the false prophet with miracles and 'fire from the sky'
  • The “one” removed from the midst

[*]Armies surround Jerusalem
[*]Midpoint Abomination - Setting up the talking image of the anti-Christ
  • Two laws which make the Great Tribulation the worst time ever
  • Books are opened
  • Two Witnesses 1260 days - call down Wrath
  • Great Tribulation

[*]Sun/moon/star event Day of the LORD.
  • Scrolling of the sky = sign of the Son of Man
  • Jesus touches down on Mount Zion
  • Mustering the 144,000 assembled on Mount Zion
  • 3 Angels fulfill the Great Commission / Warn the wicked
  • Son of Man coming on the clouds
  • Harvest Redemption / Gathering Elect from the clouds
    Dead in Christ
  • Those who are alive and are left

[*]Great Multitude arrive in Heaven out of the Great Tribulation
[*]Books / Scroll opened with breaking of seventh Seal

[*]First Trumpet fire and blood – 1/3rd of earth burned
  • Avenging Angels – supplying Blood and managing the Fire

[*]Wrath of God following the Day of the Lord
[*]Second Trumpet - 1/3rd of sea to blood
[*]Third Trumpet - 1/3rd of water bitter
[*]Fourth Trumpet - 1/3rd of light struck
[*]Fifth Trumpet Abyss opened 5 months torment
[*]Sixth Trumpet WWIII - 1/3rdf of man killed
[*]Seventh Trumpet
  • First Bowl - Sores on Man
  • Second Bowl - All sea to blood
  • Third Bowl - All water to blood
  • Fourth Bowl - Seared by heat
  • Fifth Bowl - Satan's kingdom in the dark
  • Sixth Bowl - Way for the King of the East - Battle at Armageddon
Two Witnesses die from Demon from Abyss
  • The Great Multitude and the 24 Elders rejoice in Heaven
  • Jesus and His army (144,000 go out to do battle
  • Two Witnesses arise

[*]Seventh Bowl – Man of Lawlessness is undone:
[*]end with desolations poured out on the Roman desolator
[*]Victory at Armageddon
[*]anti-Christ and false prophet captured
[*]Two Witnesses arise
[*] Earth changing earthquake

[*]End of the one ‘seven’
[*]First three beasts allowed to live a while (30/45 day periods)
[*]Christ returns to Heaven
  • Beast of a Man thrown into Hell – done away with entirely
  • Satan imprisoned
  • Martyrs made alive
  • Rewarding the Saints

[*]Establishment of Millennium reign of Christ
  • Saints rule the earth

[*]Satan released at end of Millennium
  • Revolt of the nations / their destruction

[*]Great White Throne Judgment

Paul's account fits into the mosaic with precision. Each part fits. There are still more end-time linear narratives to match up – and the amazing aspect is that there are no conflicts with the overall sequence of events listed so far, nor with any others I can find. Indeed, another aspect which incorporates nicely is Revelation chapter 12’s twin parallel accounts and the role of the Jews in all this harkening back to those in Judea from the
Olivet Discourse.

I must admit that the one removed from the midst is subjectively placed. The removal of this blocking spirit by God may allow the rise of the (man) beast from the sea or it may allow some subsequent event like the Gog/Magog war. The sequence of 2nd Thessalonians only demands it happens before he is revealed, and that will come to all at the midpoint. So all that can be said is that it comes before the midpoint abomination as well, but where exactly is my best guess.

Hello Jack - What delusions, that are happening today, are you referring to?
Thank you for your response, and caring again!

IIThess.2:11, 12, "error's working" a little closer than "delusions." Been happening technically since the Cross for sure where sadly too many project this off to some future era??? Rev.8:7-9:21 simply are non-linear to Rev.6:2, etc., ie, in sync or parallel and simply expound IIThess.2:11, 12.

What caught my eye decades ago was the reason for the "error's working" in IIThess.2:10b. Brought this up to the 'big boy's' attention and they quickly began distanting themselves from me, and that gave me the momentum I needed to get to the bottom of this 'threat.'

Old Jack's opinion

btw Revelation reaches the end of the world at "7" different places thus impossible to be linear. I even noticed looooong ago that Luke's narrative didn't even follow a strict chronological order letting the rest of the writers go for now.

Thank you again for your response, and caring!

The miraculous preliminary signified judgments (Rev.8:7-9:21) are in sync with the nonmiraculous preliminary signified judgments (Rev.6:2-8) where the end of the world is in Rev.6:12-17. Those that get through the Trumpets of "error's working" are measured at Rev.11:1, today!

Revelation 19:1 - 20:15
It starts out right before the last battle after the sixth Bowl Judgment when the ways are made for the Kings of the East and Armageddon is about to commence.

[*]Rev 20:6 – Millennium

[*]Rev 20:8 – battle at the end of the Millennium / all destroyed
[*]Rev 20:11-15 – Great White Throne Judgment of the Dead
Head's up. The 'last battle' is located at "7" different places in Revelation (Revelation chapters 6, 7, 11, 14, 16, 19, and 20 where the light only shines on different vistas.

The basic list is:

  • Man of lawlessness is revealed
  • Second coming of our Lord
  • Our being gathering to Him
    Dead in Christ
  • Those who are alive and are left

And after incorporating a lot of the other things Paul lists, I come up with this refined sequence-of-events:
  • The rebellion occurs

[*]End of the one ‘seven

We're so far apart, I really don't know even where to begin???

Still appreciate your work and caring sir.

The miraculous preliminary signified judgments (Rev.8:7-9:21) are in sync with the nonmiraculous preliminary signified judgments (Rev.6:2-8) where the end of the world is in Rev.6:12-17. Those that get through the Trumpets of "error's working" are measured at Rev.11:1, today!

btw Revelation reaches the end of the world at "7" different places thus impossible to be linear. I even noticed looooong ago that Luke's narrative didn't even follow a strict chronological order letting the rest of the writers go for now.

We're so far apart, I really don't know even where to begin???
1. The Bowl or Vial Judgments do not run concurrently with the Trumpet Judgments. The end of the world is not concurrent with the sixth Seal either; that fact that is the first place in the narrative in which John writes the word: "wrath," is only quoting the wicked who are ignorant. The only reason they know God's Wrath is coming is because they were told by the three Angels.

2. The end of the one 'seven' happens in 4 places and 3 of those 4 as defined by the mention of the Great Earthquake. This happens at the end of four parallel accounts within the book of Revelation: the sidebar account of the Temple and the Two Witnesses, the Seal/Scroll Chronology, the end of the detailed account of just the one 'seven' and in the Epilogue concurrent with the battle at Armageddon.

3. Of course we're far apart. Now if you have a reason to say I'm wrong in my analysis of prophecy's sequence of events, we can discuss it. So far, you haven't brought anything solid to the table.

I will continue:

Daniel 11:31 to 12:1

Daniel 11:4-30 describes a generational war between the North and the South during the time of the divided Greek Kingdom. This foreshadows the latter North/South conflict which marks the end-times. Interestingly enough, the two invasions of Iraq were by successive generations of the same lineage with the Bush Presidents.

Daniel 11:31-35 describes a near-term prophecy to Israel of Antiochus IV Epiphanes. This figure is used by God to translate farther into the future to the end-time anti-Christ. As such, the abomination of Zeus he puts up in the Temple in 168 B.C., during the sixty-two 'sevens' acts as a jumping off point for discussing the end-time anti-Christ.

Daniel 11:31-35 serves as the lens of Dual Focus. The events and descriptions these four verses give describe the past, but they also may be very well meant for the future as well.

Daniel 11:36-39 gives a general description of a person not yet seen in history; this
would be a description of the end-time anti-Christ.

Daniel 11:40-12:1 picks up a linear narrative which can be set in bullet points as follows:
  • Flash flood invasion of Holy Land.
  • He pitches his tent at the Holy Mountain. (Yet he will meet his end)
  • Who is like God arises
  • Great Distress
  • Deliverance of all those found in the Book.
Several things bear pointing out:
  • The quickness of his invasion (like a flood) matches the quickness that the abomination is put into effect quickly (on wing).
  • The Holy Mountain in the Bible is Mount Moriah, the Temple Mount.
  • He does not come to his end in verse 11:45, (yet) but it is assured.
  • Mikael means "who is like God" arises; the abomination rates a response from God and we see that in the overall sequence of events with the Two Witnesses.
  • The Great Distress is unique, so too is the Great Tribulation; they are the same specific and unique time of martyrdom: a terrible time which God says He will match with terrible times for those who brought it on; martyrs will be avenged.
  • The deliverance of all those in the book describes Daniel's people. The Elect can include more than just the Church for those who are resting in peace in Paradise. The Elect can include OT Saints with NT Saints who passed away naturally. This will bring in a Great Multitude of Saints.

The war between North and South in Daniel 11:4-30 was an on-going generational war between two parts of the dissolved Greek Kingdom that took place over 150 years. This description is so deftly exact; critics conclude Daniel is historic rather than prophetic. Daniel 11:31-35 is the lens of dual focus and shifts near-term prophecy to far-term. So the starting premise here is that the North/South conflict, when examining those verses which narrate action in the final few verses starting in 11:40 and going to 12:1, has been an on-going and underlying condition. In modern times, that underlying condition to the rapid invasion of the Holy Land and the seminal midpoint event is the War on Terror. The War on Terror, in my opinion, will be the basis for uniting old enemies in the North. With this conclusion on my part, I will state this underlying condition from Daniel 11 to be the starting point for the Sequence of Events as listed here. I do think that the War on Terror describes the basis for the final conflict found in the one ‘seven’ which has the world go through WWIII, and still is not settled until the final battle of the one ‘seven’ at Armageddon. In a broader context, there are prophetic events of the end-times which have not been listed here so far, but I think some of them also precede this listed first event; this is not a complete list – there is still more to add.

There are two one-for-one comparisons between Daniel 11:31-12:1 and our list. The camping by the Holy Mountain and Luke 21:20's surrounding of Jerusalem, and the Great Distress/Tribulation. In between we see "who is like God" arising to answer the call and the first two on the scene are God's Marines: the Two Witnesses. Putting Daniel 11:31-12:1 into sequence of events matches perfectly with what the other accounts present; God is consistent in ALL the major eschatological linear narratives and that holds true for the minor ones as well. Hi Marcus,

...
The breakdown of Daniel 9:27 then centers around three actions covered within it:
  • Covenant with many prevailed by the (Roman) ruler who will come.
  • Midpoint Abomination
  • End of one ‘seven’ with desolations poured out on the desolator.

Where I would propose that many have proficiencies in SOME Chapters/Verses, that few (read: none) have all expertise. And where I've suggested that absence regarding Daniel 9, I now propose the same for Daniel 11. But toward this, I would agree with the greater number of points presented. As such, you might wish to consider correcting your understanding of Daniel, and thereby Rev. 13 & 17, to make your understanding more complete.

Daniel 12:4
4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

Perhaps you should start with end-time fulfillments for this Book.

With Best Regards,
DD

No pain no gain.

This guys writting a book!
Yes, 13 chapters done and the 14th in process. This is just a little reader that just gives you the overall picture without all the reference book work, word study, theoretical basis for interpretation, a mini-systematic theology, and broader discussion.

Next account to blend in - (I'm almost done copying and pasting).

Revelation Chapter 12

1 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. 2 She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. 3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. 4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. 5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, who "will rule all the nations with an iron scepter." And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. 6 The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.

7 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. 10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. 11 They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. 12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short." 13 When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. 14 The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent's reach. 15 Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. 16 But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring —those who keep God's commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.

The first thing to address is the placement of Revelation 12 after the Seal/Scroll account of Revelation chapters 4-11. Some commentaries will ascribe the events described in this as part of the seventh Trumpet desolation. However, at the end of chapter 11, not only has the end of the one ‘seven’ taken place, but the timeline has moved on to judging of the wicked (the anti-Christ and false prophet who were captured alive at Armageddon) and rewarding the Saints resurrected to life eternal (there are seven types of Crowns for the faithful).

In criticism of such commentaries, no desolation is described in chapter 12. While the Seal/Scroll account is silent about the seventh Trumpet’s third Woe; that has more to do with John’s obedience not to reveal anything which would disclose what the seven thunders spoke. The revelation of the third Woe is then shifted to the finale of the one ‘seven’ in the parallel account to the Seal/Scroll chronology in Revelation chapters 13-16. In accordance with God’s Will, the pronouncement of the seven thunders remains a mystery.

Rather than be a continuation of chapter 11, chapter 12 marks a new account. Here the scene changes from within the Temple to the time of Jesus’ birth. The woman is a sign in Heaven, but that figuratively harkens back to Joseph’s dream in Genesis 37:9-10. The woman is the nation of Israel, and it is from the Jews that Salvation comes. The focus has changed from a chronology of events in the end-times to the role of Israel in the end times.

The basic division is in two, with the woman being the first up to verse 6, and Satan being the subject from verse 7 to the end. I would preserve that basic division. Normally, the word ‘then,’ would set up a follow-on event. However, in this case, there is a telltale marker for parallel account construction: the repeated event in both accounts at their end: the hiding of the woman for one half of the one ‘seven.’ This repetition of a specific and unique event is a marker of parallel account construction, where an event is viewed from different perspective or focus.

The scene changes as well between verses six and seven; it goes from half of the one ‘seven,’ on earth to a battle in Heaven. This battle is contested in commentaries as to when it happens with many opinions. Some notes here from a sequence of events perspective include:
  • Satan loses his place in Heaven
  • He is the accuser
  • The Kingdom of God is realized
  • The Messiah has authority
  • The Blood of the Lamb cleanses the Saints
  • His time is “short.”
  • Satan immediately pursues Israel leading to the same time period in the first account

After His Resurrection, Jesus told Mary He had not yet seen the Father. In Zechariah chapter 3, Satan accuses Jesus and he is rebuked twice by God the Father. It is my conclusion that Zechariah 3 is that meeting. Indeed, Joshua (Yeshua, Iesous, Jesus) has “sin” lifted by the removal of His clothes. This explains in one manner why Mary could not hold onto Jesus: she would be tampering with the “evidence,” and/or she could also be spiritually contaminated.

As a side note, who are the “men wondered at” in Zechariah 3? I think these Saints fulfill the Psalm 68 that “captives” followed in His train when He ascended into Heaven. I think they form the basis for the 24 Elders who have been in Heaven for 2000 earth years by the time of the end when John is translated to third Heaven.

Satan had falsely accused Jesus and for this he is censured and loses his standing in the Court of Heaven. As Jesus rules, when the Saints show up, no accuser stands before God to accuse them, and without the prosecution present, the Saints are not judged innocent, but simply not guilty. Moreover, with Jesus defending the Saints, the Saints are justified through the Lamb. Jesus rules and His Kingdom is realized.

The third aspect is that when Satan is thrown down, he immediately pursues Israel. This happened in the next generation and has gone on from the First Jewish Revolt from the first century through the second some 60 years later, to the Diaspora, and onward through anti-Semitism in Europe to outright persecution/war with the rise of Islam. For a spiritual entity who is immortal, two days (where a thousand years is but a day) would be a short time.

It is my conclusion that the time frame for verse 7 harkens back to the First Advent of Christ and roughly matches the starting timeframe for the twin parallel account of Israel in verses 1-6. Chapter 12 is a chapter of twin parallel accounts. It gives us an age bridging, time eliminating, God-perspective on fundamental relationships spanning two thousand years. It gives us an important, repeated event with the protection of the “woman” and it defines the relationship between natural-born Israel and her spiritual offspring: Christians.

The sequence of events breaks down as follows:

v. 2 – Jesus is about to be born
v. 4 – Satan is ready to swallow up the infant
v. 5 – Jesus is born
v. 5 – Jesus ascends to Heaven
v. 6 – The woman flees to the wilderness for one half of the one ‘seven’

v. 9 – Satan tossed out of Heaven
v. 13 – He pursues Israel
v. 14 – Israel is removed from Satan’s pursuit for one half of the one ‘seven’
v. 17 – Satan turns his attention to Christians

The first five verses are tied to the First Advent of Christ. Likewise, I am going to tie verses 9 and 13 to the time immediately after the First Advent of Christ. For the study of the end-times in prophecy we have the repeated escape for one half of the one ‘seven’ in common. The two accounts can be combined around Jesus’ First Advent and that half.

  • Mary is pregnant
  • Satan desires to kill the Messiah
  • Jesus is born
  • Jesus ascends to Heaven to rule
  • Satan is tossed out of Heaven
  • Satan pursues Israel
  • Israel is protected for half of the one ‘seven’
  • Christians are targeted instead

Rather than have Satan come down at the start of the one ‘seven’ like most usual commentaries, the persecution of Israel has been going on since the first century. The first six bullet points are relegated to the past. Only the last two bullet points need to be incorporated into the climax of Man’s Age the one ‘seven’ represents which in turn, gives birth to the Millennium.

When is Israel protected? Well previously in the Olivet Discourse, Jesus prayed for those in Judea flee to the mountains, and indeed the earth will “swallow up” their pursuit. As Judea is in the south of Israel, they escape the flooding invasion from the North when the anti-Christ stops at Jerusalem at the midpoint. Therefore, those in Judea flee at the midpoint and they are protected for the second half of the one ‘seven.’ The half mentioned in both twin parallel accounts is the second half.

Likewise, when the first contingent of the Remnant of Israel that enters the Millennium flees from Judea, Satan turns his attention to Christians. It is at the midpoint when those in Judea flee that the midpoint abomination occurs. This previously has been shown in the detail account of the Rise and Fall of the anti-Christ in Revelation chapters 13-16 to happen with the two onerous laws Christians are explicitly told not to follow which has such devastating effects upon their material well-being that the Elect are nearly eliminated from the face of the Earth. The Great Tribulation is when Satan shifts from oppression to outright persecution he would have visited upon the Jews.

The sequencing of the one half of the one ‘seven’ cannot be determined by Revelation 12 alone; only by tying in the Olivet Discourse with its Keystone ordering of specific and unique events and Revelation chapters 13-16 can we safely conclude the half mentioned is in the second half of the one ‘seven.’

Bullet points to be added: Those in Judea flee at the midpoint. The first part of the Remnant are protected for the rest of the one ‘seven.’ The Elect are persecuted.

  • War (on Terror) between North and South
  • The rise of the fourth terrible beast of a nation out of the “sea”

Note: In re-posting this, and in contemplating Isaiah 14:3-20, the anti-Christ spends some time before coming to final judgment.

In the section of Daniel 7, I put together the three parallel accounts of that chapter listing the anti-Christ being sent to Hell. As Jesus is Lord, and every knee will bow and every tongue confess, then so too will the anti-Christ (and false prophet) have to do this.

Therefore, I slightly re-ordered my sequence putting their consignment to Hell AFTER Christ returns to Heaven. Nothing in Daniel forbids this between the two narratives; it was my mistake in blending the two without any other marker to sequence them. Logically, it works better as it will be produced from now on. I just can't re-order older posts because I've lost the "edit" function.

Daniel 12:4
4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

Perhaps you should start with end-time fulfillments for this Book.
I cover this type of detail in detail in the book. This is just a quick handout for the overall sequence of events showing how all the major linear narratives can be blended into one whole.

Perhaps it's not an explanation that is lacking, but conformance. As such, your Daniel expository stands in contradiction with both Scripture and History.j

Thank you again for your response, and caring! Wish we were in more agreement as you turned out to be an A O.K. Christian in my book.

Never will say you're in error due to loooong ago, I thought I was absolutely correct even in one of the essentials of the fatih and so thankful that I found out I was in error in a couple of months not dragging this error out for an embarrasing decades. Let us all be in error, and God's Word and the Cross be perfectly true.

Let's look at where we agree to agree with the "Bowls" and "Trumpet" judgments, ie, preliminary in my opinion. The 6th Bowl is not concurrent with the Trumpets as presents the loosing of Satan personally (Rev.20:7). Rev.6:2 presents the Word of God in the sense of Rom.1:18), conquers alone and directed against the enemies of the Lamb, ie, non-miraculous preliminary judgments. The Trumpets are in sync of course, however are miraculous preliminary judgments for those that plug into IIThess.2:10b. The Bowls are in sync to the former up to and including the 5th Bowl.

We're agreeing to agree with parallel acconts you mentioned earlier and the end of the world with the 6th Seal, "And the heaven was separated as a book roll being rolled up, and every mountain as a book were moved out of their place." The best commentary on this is Matt.24:29 & IIPet.3:10. If we have "four parallel accounts" then Revelation shouldn't be viewed chronological, correct?

3. Of course we're far apart. Now if you have a reason to say I'm wrong in my analysis of prophecy's sequence of events, we can discuss it. So far, you haven't brought anything solid to the table.
You won't be seeing me saying you're wrong, ie, I enjoy being successfully refuted and this way I know that our Lord is still contending with me during this great apostasy of hypergrace and Christians living the here and now except of the whole "1" hour on Sunday which was reduced from the whole "1" hour.

Only a head's up, ie, Dan.11:21-35 is in sync with Dan.8:9-27. Dan.11 reveals the conclusion of the O.T. period as well as the conclusion of the N.T. period. Now you have something to work with as you deserve it sir.

I'm sorry, but you're going to have to quite a bit more specific than a general condemnation as broad as all of Scripture and history. My sequence of events, as I have explained in the work and I have shown my work progressively, is quite in accordance with every account - and everything I've drawn has been from the major works - so far, and that will continue with the last two installments I have to offer.

The Millennium

The issue of placing the Rapture within the end-times is heady enough, so some would think it too much to solve the dilemma of the Millennium. When Jesus comes, whenever that might be in one’s eschatology, the question of the Jews comes up. The reason the Millennium exists in my opinion, is that it is the road to the Jews’ Salvation; this is the path they must take and it is told in the Old Testament, since they “miss” the parousia of Christ because they do not yet believe Jesus is their Messiah.

So who is left behind? One answer as to that would be the wicked. Another is the Jews, who don’t accept Christ as their Savior if they prove as stubborn as they have in the past to the Gospel message. Still another group to be included might be the meek, since they inherit the earth, but then inheritance is a Christian attribute as well. However, one thing is certain: the proud among the wicked will not survive the one desolations God has decreed which do take place in the one ‘seven.’

One question as to how Israel might view Jesus’ sudden and otherwise unexpected arrival is the figurative language of the Songs of Solomon 5:2-8. Here reminiscent of the Former and Latter Rains to describe Jesus’ two Advents, the Lord comes but the woman is unwilling to answer. Shutting herself up for a little while has her literally missing the boat. This is also covered in Isaiah 26:20.

In another verse previously incorporated from Zechariah 14:4 involving the splitting of the Mount of Olives on the Day of the Lord, which also aptly describes and explains the second earthquake of the sixth Seal, is verse 5 where those in Jerusalem also flee from that city through the newly cleft valley to the West, and perhaps then to the South to the “wilderness” of the desert. This would be the second group to join the previous portion of the Remnant Jews who fled from Judea at the midpoint.

The final and third group of Jews to survive the one ‘seven’ would be those who mourned what had been happening there when Jesus takes the Temple on the Day of the Lord as described in Ezekiel chapter 9. It is interesting to note that Ezekiel sees a man with a writing kit, and John had such material with him in Revelation chapter 10:4, who might again be a chance meeting of the two. In the Seal/Scroll chronology the survivors of the Great Earthquake finally glorify God in verse 13, which would coincide with the end of the one ‘seven.’ This group of people is also included in Isaiah 4:3. These would constitute a third portion of the Remnant, the third of the Jews who survive the Days of Awe to come to Atonement with the Lord as described in Zechariah in both instances.

Showing the Jews as being protected through the Wrath of God by God then has them moving around quite a bit in the wilderness reminiscent of their sojourn leaving Egypt before coming to the Promised Land. This view of the end-times then aptly explains why Jesus would again “come like a thief” in Rev 16:15. The Remnant Jews need to be moved around as indicated by Isaiah 42:16.

Jesus’ “coming like a thief” is a descriptive term and not necessarily a specific and unique event. It describes “how” He comes. Jesus can be said to come at night, to come to steal the most valuable thing in the world from the “strong man” (the Elect), or to come physically like a thief as God’s Army is portrayed in Joel 2 climbing over walls and through windows. But another aspect of “coming like a thief” has to do with the nature by which He does it for those who are not watching like the Elect: He is unexpected. That is why in Rev 16:15, those who are not dressed are not punished or left behind; they simply move on albeit naked. Rev 16:15 marries with Isaiah 42:16; the Remnant is on the move in the second half of the one ‘seven.’

All in all, the Remnant, mentioned also in Isaiah 10:20-21 are a factor to be included in any competent eschatology. The aspect of the Jews as God’s Chosen People must be answered and God has a plan as Paul discerned in Romans 11:25-26. The Millennium is for the Jews, a time of peace where they come to know their Messiah King as the same Servant Messiah they had previously rejected.

While the purpose and dispensation of the Millennium takes a whole chapter the portions of the Remnant are added into the sequence of events. Taking some of Zechariah and Isaiah further, a simple summation will be presented for the purpose of the 30 and 45 day periods of Daniel 12: they account for the traveling to Mount Zion and the subsequent encampment before the Remnant “makes it” to the Millennium. To be sure, this is one requirement for a person’s physical salvation if they are in that group, they must “reach” that period so as to be so blessed with Christ’s presence on the Earth.

Israel’s Remnant’s veil of Moses is lifted by Jesus after the “Days of Awe.” This is the “Atonement” of Yom Kippur. This is when the Jews have their “Jesus moment,” and realize their mistake. They also know from some of the one gathered up that don’t have their “wedding garments” on (Salvation through faith in Jesus) that the Wedding Feast of the Lord has commenced and they have missed out. Surrounded by desolation, they weep. This is the gnashing of teeth reserved to those thrown out of the Feast: they are not relegated to Hell, but Earth in its destroyed state with all the regret possible. The 45 day encampment then fulfills the last of the Fall Festivals which Paul said as a pattern for what was to come as the Sukkot, the temporary dwellings.

Bullet points to be added: (Jewish portion in orange)
  • Jews flee through the cleft of the Mount of Olives – Day of the Lord
  • Jews survive the earthquake in Jerusalem – end of the one ‘seven’

Rev.6:2 presents the Word of God in the sense of Rom.1:18), conquers alone and directed against the enemies of the Lamb, ie, non-miraculous preliminary judgments. The Trumpets are in sync of course, however are miraculous preliminary judgments for those that plug into IIThess.2:10b. The Bowls are in sync to the former up to and including the 5th Bowl.

...the end of the world with the 6th Seal, "And the heaven was separated as a book roll being rolled up, and every mountain as a book were moved out of their place." The best commentary on this is Matt.24:29 & IIPet.3:10.

If we have "four parallel accounts" then Revelation shouldn't be viewed chronological, correct?

Only a head's up, ie, Dan.11:21-35 is in sync with Dan.8:9-27. Dan.11 reveals the conclusion of the O.T. period as well as the conclusion of the N.T. period. Now you have something to work with as you deserve it sir.
1. The first Horseman is described as a Spirit which goes out into the world (West, too) in Zechariah. I know plenty of Monday morning quarterback prognosticators that try to pin either Jesus or Satan to the white Horse: but it is neither as defined by God and on a logical basis (Jesus is not going to send out Jesus, or Satan for that matter...).

2. The sixth Seal reveals events which happen after the "Sun/moon/star" event which heralds the Day of the Lord. It is not the end of the world; it is the end of the Church Age or when Grace through Faith is extended as an offer for the Elect.

3. Revelation is written as a series of parallel accounts and there are more than four. I look for a break in BOTH scene and focus to discern where John begins and ends the various viewpoints about the end-times so as to cover its multiple facets.

4.Daniel 8:23-25 relates to Daniel 11:36-39 because BOTH describe the coming ruler, the anti-Christ.

(If you could pare down your quoting of my posts, you could reduce the verbiage immensely so that the reader can succinctly get to your point.)

Final post of mine:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Second Resurrection

The second Resurrection of Rev 20 follows a pattern seen five times in the Bible: there are two Resurrections from the grave. The first is only for the “Living” or Righteous and they pass unto Life Eternal. The second is for all, both “Living” and “Dead,” or the Righteous and the Wicked and there is a test for those so gathered together: only the good fish or alternately those in the Book of Life live eternally.

The first Resurrection for the Saints has them give an account for themselves. As the “men wondered at” precede the Apostles, the Apostles, most of them martyred, come alive at the end of the one ‘seven,’ and like the rest of the Church must give an account for themselves. At the second Resurrection, however, the Apostles, having proved themselves worthy by faith, judge the twelve tribes of Israel who lived before and during the Millennium. It is these Righteous Jews (and others) who enter Heaven by being in the Book of Life. All those who are not in the Book, are cast into Hell. The if-then test of Revelation 20:15 works both ways as Greek logic would allow.

In this way, the parable of the wheat and tares describes the first Resurrection and the parable of fish the second Resurrection. Likewise, in the Olivet Discourse, Jesus leaves off the action after the gathering of the Elect, giving concrete advice in parables, and then takes up the action again in “gap” fashion in Mt 25:31-46 with the Great White Throne Judgment where the Sheep (from the Millennium) and the Goats (from all time) are separated. Like “coming like a thief,” “coming in His glory” does not mark Jesus’ arrival in Mt 25:31 as a specific and unique event. Every time Jesus’ comes, it is with His Glory, so this phrase is descriptive only and cannot be said to only occur with Jesus’ second coming.

The final dispensation of the Jews is Life Eternal for those who are faithful and worship Christ. They are included with the Elect gathered at the First Resurrection for Life Eternal with God. As events conclude in Heaven, a New Earth and a New Heaven are created and the former things (this life) will not be remembered. The final list of all the major linear end-time narratives looks like this:

  • War (on Terror) between North and South
  • The rise of the fourth terrible beast of a nation out of the “sea”
with ten Kings (Council of Ministers)

The beauty of the sequence-of-events is that it all fits. God's Word is perfect, and it is in perfect harmony with itself. With our Lord providing the Key passage in the Olivet Discourse, and revealing the end-time order of desolations to John in the book of Revelation, we can make sense of the sometimes jumbled assortment of visions in the Old Testament. Indeed, within this framework, various elements of Old Testament prophecy concerning the Day of the Lord can be worked in so the reader can know the
pace and time placement of diverse events.

This is my work, and it is the basis for the rest of the book. This compilation of the major linear narratives of end-time prophecy into one chronological timeline is not a complete work, nor has every prophetic account of the end been woven in, however, it can stand alone. There is no discrepancy in regards to the sequence of events; in that prophecy is amazingly consistent – which follows in that God remains constant, so finding consistency is not amazing of itself – but that this eschatology, in following the pattern laid out in Scripture, does not have any of the fatal criticisms of other eschatologies; and that is amazing indeed.

Hi Marcus,

Marcus O'Reillius said:
I'm sorry, but you're going to have to quite a bit more specific than a general condemnation as broad as all of Scripture and history. My sequence of events, as I have explained in the work and I have shown my work progressively, is quite in accordance with every account - and everything I've drawn has been from the major works - so far, and that will continue with the last two installments I have to offer.

______________________________________________
Please allow the following synopsis:

Daniel 9
1. The durations are "years", (at least one must be a "week" of years)
2. Daniel did not read the book of Jeremiah to interpret the seventy (he read the Psalms)
3. The word "weeks" is in the unusual inconcise Masculine gender text
4. The word "week" is the concise Feminine gender text
5. The seven and the seventy ARE NOT to be summed.
6. There is an "anointed one" after the seven.
7. There is a SECOND "anointed one" after the sixty-two
8. The a/c "shall come" after the seventieth

Daniel 11
Daniel 11 is NOT an ancient prophecy.

1. The 10:1 context demands a Babylonian era.
2. Darius was the LAST Babylonian king, thus he had to be "strengthened".
3. The "three more" and "fourth" speak to the Silver - Medo/Persian; Bronze - Grecian; Iron - Roman; and Clay - "divided".
4. Newton readily discounted a Hellenistic fulfillment, and wrote a Roman fulfillment which also failed. Thus he refused to publish.
5. The prophecy is contiguous. (I.e., there is no "pause" between an ancient fulfillment and an end-time fulfillment.)
6. Daniel 2:39 explains the significance of "Greece".
7. Daniel's Chapters 5, 6, & 9 confirm Darius as a Babylonian king.
8. Daniel 7 agrees that the Lion, Bear, & Leopard (actually a "Tiger") are concurrent, corresponding with the King of the South, the King of the North, and the Kings of the East.
9. Daniel 7 agrees that the "dreadful" will be judged, corresponding with the verse 45 "he", -- United Nations --, judgement.
10. History confirms the Scriptural specifics as a modern interpretation.

As such, I would most strongly advise that the interpretations are NOT ancient, but are MODERN, exactly as the Angel depicts:

Daniel 12
4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

Please note that it's only been in the last century where travel and knowledge has gone exponential.

And finally, (as an expanse of your presentation), I would propose that the commentators have also misrepresented the Daniel 2 sequence, (and thereby Daniel 7), in which there are not 1,2,3,4a/4b, but FIVE distinct empires:

Dan. 2
41 And as you saw the feet and toes partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, it shall be a divided kingdom
45 ... the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold ... = 4,3,5,2,1 = FIVE

With Best Regards,
DD

Thank you for your response and caring Marcus O'Reillius, and appreciate you also DaDad.

Thank also for allowing to <snip> your response - lttle nervous when I do this as had a vicious ad hominem awhile back when snipped another's response as his post was too long, however he really treasured it - didn't treasure me anymore for sure - lol now.

Am relooking at all,

Old Jack

btw I'm pretty adamant regarding Rev.6:2 as the Scriptures (Word of God) must ride out first, and conquers alone at a distance - the Holy Spirit does speak to us through the Scriptures as you already understand.

Zec 6:1 I looked up again, and there before me were four chariots coming out from between two mountains—mountains of bronze. 2 The first chariot had red horses, the second black, 3 the third white, and the fourth dappled—all of them powerful. 4 I asked the angel who was speaking to me, "What are these, my lord?"
5 The angel answered me, "These are the four spirits of heaven, going out from standing in the presence of the Lord of the whole world. 6 The one with the black horses is going toward the north country, the one with the white horses toward the west, and the one with the dappled horses toward the south."
7 When the powerful horses went out, they were straining to go throughout the earth. And he said, "Go throughout the earth!" So they went throughout the earth.
8 Then he called to me, "Look, those going toward the north country have given my Spirit rest in the land of the north."

Zechariah sees these four horsemen coming out of Heaven all together - (Revelation reveals their order) - and no less an authority says they are four spirits of heaven.

So between you and an Angel, I'm going to go with the higher authority. Remember: don't believe everything you think.

Dan 9:
1. The years are can be solar (365.25), lunar (variable) or prophetic (360). Revelation reveals the count as prophetic: 3 and 1/2 = 1260 days.
2. If you're referring to "gabar" in Daniel 9:27, then you have not done your word study on this important Hebrew verb. As an adjective, it means to strengthen, but as a verb it means to prevail. The King James Version has done a lot of damage to translations over the years and even modern versions, showing a distinct leaning to not vary too much from its benchmark.
3. and 4. Brown-Driver-Briggs (p.989 referencing Dan 9:24, 25, 26, 27, 27 for H7620) makes no such distinction for the period of 'sevens' as you do - you're going to have to show your work before I'm even going to take your word for whatever you're trying to make as a great difference so as to make whatever point you're aiming toward. I rely on accredited reference books: not message board experts.
5. Gabriel puts the seven and the sixty-two 'sevens' together running concurrently with the conjunction "and" being definitely there in the origin Hebrew. The one 'seven' stands apart and has not yet been realized. Your point? (I know you're aiming at one...)
6. Ah no, that's you reading it into the text. The anointed one comes after the seven and the sixty-two 'sevens.' You're splitting them. Christ had only one first Advent and that occurred almost 2000 years ago.
7. Ah, no again - same reason. You can read what you like and believe what you think, but at least I see where you and I split and I reject your reading.
8. Ah, no again; he is the actor who prevails a covenant with many, and in accordance with Rev 13, is given the authority to rule in the first half of the one 'seven' - and it is he, as also evidenced by Mt 24:15, Rev 13;14-15 and 2Th 2 who sets himself up in the Temple proclaiming himself god. The whole point of describing the ruler who will come as coming from the people who will destroy the city and the sanctuary is to let us know the origin of the anti-Christ: he is European or Western in origin.

Please accept the following response:

1. The years are literal years, as validated by the Prophetic Psalms, per the premise "Hidden Prophecies In The Psalms", by J.R. Church.
Please read Psalms 24 to find the "going forth of the word", which Young (per Walvoord) observed IS NOT from a Persian king, but rather from GOD HIMSELF.

2. Daniel 9:2 says "biyn", in which 1 Kings 3 provides "shama" as what Solomon asked for versus the greater "biyn" which GOD gave him. As such, Daniel did not simply "shama" the Books, -- he used "biyn".

3. & 4. Per Young, Keit, & Kliefoth (per Walvoord, "Daniel The Key To Prophetic Revelation"), Daniel used the unusual "shibiym" inconcise Masculine gender text for the "weeks". For the seventieth, "week" he used "shabuwa" concise Feminie gender text.

5. Newton said NO society adds numbers in such fashion, and it does "violence" to Scripture. Furthermore he observed that if GOD wanted to say sixty-nine, HE would have said sixty-nine.
If this understanding is incorrect, then please provide a citation either in Scripture or ANY society where a ~pair of shoes cost seven and sixty-two dollars plus tax.

6. a. The Contemporary English Version (CEV) provides the context of the mashiyach:
9.25 the Chosen Leader: Or “a chosen leader.” In Hebrew the word “chosen” means “to pour oil (on someone’s head).” In Old Testament times it was the custom to pour oil on a person’s head when that person was chosen to be a priest or a king.
6.b. The other citations of mashiyach are NOT exclusive to a Messianic fulfillment:
Lev 4:3
If the priest that is anointed H4899 do sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the LORD for a sin offering.
6.c. History identifies the "anointed one".who is "coming" in 1931, but did not fully arrive until 1948, fulfilled as David Ben Gurion.
