Hey you guys. Hope you're all doing well.

Nothing in the world seems right to me anymore and I just feel like crying my eyes out. And no, this isn't "just a bad day" type thing. I've been noticing the coldness of lots of people from different parts of my life (not just towards me) for about 6 mos. now.

People mock those who believe in God -- I'm talking badly mock. Sometimes they just hate you.

It seems like so many people out in the world these days don't have compassion, and like
jobs and organizations and everything are just so chaotic, dishonest, etc.

I'm usually a pretty positive person but lately the world seems like a horribly cold place.

Is it just me, or have any of you guys noticed this too or felt this way also?

Thanks for reading.

Love,

Marta

Hi Marta..................WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost posted this yesterday..and I was going to call it the 7th sense :)
Yes, you are correct...........I talk to many Christians and non Christians..on up into their death beds. They say....we don't know what is happening but sense something is not right but we don't know what it is.

This is why I call it the 7th sense.........take a chicken.....take the chick away from her mother in the first few seconds. Then raise that little chick up....without the mother, who taught it to look up? always looking up.....just one example of course :)
I think God has put in all of us a sense of His return......we are not use to it....we slightly recognize it.........but it is in everyone.

Marta.................stand strong......for you and I were born for such a time as this...........

And here is satans plan.............I should know....I served the idiot for many years.....as you see around the world....some Christians who don't even act like Christians are giving us real Christians a bad name. satan loves that........so when the heathens see these idiotic christains.....they say.....that is stupid.
heathens know better how a Christian should act....funny isn't it? Anyway.....the Christian....or so-called Christians will shut down....they will be afraid that someone might know they are Christian....thus their mouths will close. satan's victory once more.

And you are starting to see that................especially here in the US

Firstly if I were you I would consult a doctor, sometimes our body's can go through chemical imbalances that will cause anxiety's of such a nature, like a heightened sense of sadness or dread. It can be a subtle change over time or a dramatic over night change.
My wife is a manager at a local supermarket she was crying all the time at work and she didnt know why, she said she feels very pressured to preform regardless of the employers efforts to reassure her that she is doing a great job and that she can talk to them anytime she wants. They are afraid that she might leave or step down from her role.
I took her to our local doctor and he prescribed her some pills she takes each day, now she copes well with her job it no longer phases her,
You see there was a chemical change happen in her body and it was causing her to feel sad and overwhelmed.
You may not think this is the case with you but because we are just as much flesh as we are spirit we need to rule out what we can, even if it means talking to someone on a regular basis.

I definitely feel that you should seek a doctors opinion and of course at the same time find someone you can be accountable too, talk about your feelings and let go of these anxiety's,

I hope that helps

I agree to all the above, and thank you folks for caring again - the Cross!

To me, appears Marta is running the 'race' where this could be viewed as a threat to those Christians sitting on the side lines and bonding with the world too. I use the former as a litmus test as to the 'race' I'm suppose to be running 24/7. All I have to do is get worldly for a little while, and seems like they're all my friends and brothers giving me money for gas which I really need at times. Soon as I get the gas money, off the worldly stuff and back to the race - sin confession.

Marta .... I have been thinking exactly the same thing .... it is like something has swept through society , and nobody cares about anything any more.

It both troubles me and puzzles me

Let there be a clear distinction between the saved and unsaved, so all must make a choice to obey God or the devil. The day of the Lord is coming, Its not a time to be lukewarm.

Thank you all so much for your replies, RANDOR, Madad21,shturt678, Arnie and lforrest. This is such a wonderful forum to come to about these things. You guys are very much appreciated!

Arnie, exactly. You've perfectly described what I am seeing as well! I'm so grateful to know it's not just me seeing this. Thank you, Arnie, and everyone else for your replies.

I keep going back to Matthew 24:12 when the Lord said: "And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." This has to be what it is. What I'm noticing is on a huge global level, it's not just one or two people. It's like all kinds of corporate chaos, underhanded dealings, distrust, just total societal upheavel in so many ways, so much evil, people saying they care about others but their actions say the opposite. Never before on such a huge scale and in so many areas have I seen it so bad. And really, think about it! Except for our personal communities, friends and families, we see only what the media shows us, which isn't much at all, compared to what is fully going on!

Yes, lforrest. It is no time to be lukewarm. I know we should always stay close to the Lord, but now more than ever we're starting to find out how important staying close to Him is!

Marta, I sympathize with your feelings because I have them from time to time as well. It's okay that you're having these feelings if they're not paralyzing you. If you're really having trouble with them, I recommend prayer and then consulting with a medical professional if it's something that's really getting you down beyond some healthy righteous indignation.

I struggle with this because every age has its scandals and whatnot, but it does seem that things happen so rapidly these days that we are pulled in conflicting directions. Opinions on things have changed relatively overnight. It seems hard to trust traditionally trustable institutions and Christians are really starting to feel pressure.

Keep focused on God because, as the verse says, he makes our weakness strong! (2 Corinthians 12:9)

HammerStone, I really appreciate your response, and totally agree: "but it does seem that things happen so rapidly these days that we are pulled in conflicting directions. Opinions on things have changed relatively overnight. It seems hard to trust traditionally trustable institutions and Christians are really starting to feel pressure." You truly captured it in what you described, and, as always, most well said.

Thank you so much for your time and most appreciated suggestions and insights on this, HammerStone. I desperately needed perspective about this and I definitely received it here. Thank you all so very much.

I too feel like this much of the time, I felt it especially as I worked in the casino as a Christian Safety and Security Officer. In fact I felt it so much there that I had to leave that job because of how it was rubbing off in to my life.
I felt my Spirit screaming out and I was having to suppress my convictions in order to deal effectively with many unsavory situations to say the very least.
Every morning coming home and feeling like I was steeped in sin because of the way in which I had to deal with many completely off their heads. Young girls and grown women almost completely naked with no sense of mortality and the guys bent on violence all working very hard to get as wasted as they can as quickly as possible. Seperation from your own morals came with the territory, If you didnt have this worldly indignation and separation from compassion you weren't going to last. It was soul crushing. I remember putting through many calls to an old Christian friend asking if it were possible for me to loose my salvation.

The only other time I feel that same worldly stigma is if I spend any prolonged amount of time talking to or observing those of the world, be it on the internet or on TV or out in the world. A feeling of dread washes over me and a deep sadness aches in my heart as if all is lost a kind of deep loneliness and longing for the presence of Christ.

I have no problem admitting that as a grown man I have wept deeply for that state of this world, for a feeling of hopelessness as I watch people destroy each other, A child murdered by her father, a family destroyed by an intruder, a ditch full of frightened people praying to allah as they are gunned down on the six o'clock news. I can not count how many times I have prayed for the end to come.

There is a coldness in this world and it is certainly distinct from the glowing embracing warmth of our Lord.
When I turn off the TV, I open my Bible or I look in to study and I am swept up in the Spirit, I find my true identity in every word and I am filled to the brim with His promise and His hope re-energizes my Spirit. We just need to hold on just a little longer.

Titus 2:13
Waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

What really troubles me is how many "good" people are going bad

For example , years ago we rarely saw even one lawyer get dis-barred for doing something unethical ...... now we hear about it on a daily basis , stealing clients trust funds etc.

Politicians being bought off left and right , there has always been a bit of corruption in politics , now it is rampant

Our Large church organizations race to see who can approve sin the fastest

People only care about money now .... at one time people did a lot of good things simply because it was "good"

Wow! You know how to call sin sin. I sinfully work hard not to work, ie, maybe that's the problem?

Old Jack

Found someone's wallet left in the back part of a shopping cart outside where it was folded back, and the owner obviously missed it - simply grabbed it and took it to the cashier like anyone else should do - found out later, all his money and life was in the wallet and wanted to find and kiss me - I'm not a kisser, and not self-righteous. Over something so small I turned out to be the hero of the community beyond the local store - word went around.

My point: it's so dark out there, all one has to do is do something so insignificant unto our Lord, it'll shine like the sun.

Old sinfully shining Jack for his day of fame where our Lord is the one really shining for eternity.

I wouldn't mind misplacing my wallet, that looks like an elephant stepped on it, around you as you would return it with more money than it orginially had - btw I agape those 20s.

Perhaps that's the problem. Try spending less time digesting what the media tells you and more time out and about with the people in your family and community.

Remember, the media have a model where the more sensationalized bad news they broadcast, the more money they get. So they have a clear incentive to blare negativity 24 hours a day. Anyone who places themselves directly in front of that uni-directional stream of "here's everything bad around the world" is bound to be affected by it.

Thank you folks for caring!

I think the bottom line is Rom.3:18 (Ps.36:) where not only our children (in my case they're all above 53) lack a fear of our Lord - my oldest daughter has a fear for sure, but even our Church members where they really think they can offend and at times even provoke our Lord during the week bringing aboard a IJn.1:9 on Sunday, then rip and run during the week, and get away with it?

Old Jack not dining and dashing anymore!

Wonder if RANDOR ever dined and dashed before?
