where is the question page?

Trying to find out how this forum works and got a few questions and don't know where to post them, so i'll try here.
1- How do you set up your profile, tried mine and was not able to change any thing?

2- Is this a new forum? as about a year or so ago I put in a search and don't remember this one.
I was on a large forum and never looked at more than 10% of the sub-forums, looking for something a little more manageable.

3- What is the average age group here? I ask cause some of the posts seem irreverent, maybe just an age issue as I'm old and cranky.

4- Do you let posters of other faiths post in the traditional Christian forums?

5- Have I already stepped on toes here with these questions?

Hi mate, the mods here are the best for these questions, if you want to grab their attention, go to the "report" option bottom left of your post above and in the box that pops up just type "need some help here thanks". the next mod on will see it and reply back to you answering all your questions.

Hi BIC. I tried to use the report function, but it states in the box for it, "To be used for objectionable material only, and not for any other use" or words to that effect. Thanks for trying to help anyway; I imagine somebody in the know will see this eventually.

No worries (there not gonna boot ya for it) the mod who looks after this section will log on and see it at some stage

more questions:

1- How do change the time zones as mine is 6-8 hours out?

2- Why does the Bible translation HCSB on the Lit flame web site change the translation from the KJV, NKJV
to read in John 3:16 from "God so loved the world" to what "manner" God loved the world. What translative authority are they using? Always have taken it by faith that God loved us, me, "so" much that He sent and came down to save us from our sins?

Well, with my stumbling around I found the help page, so was able to answer question 1 on both of my other post; was able to change the time and my location in my settings. that comes up with another question:

8- when I post a message, under my user name I have a lot of info from my profile, other's just have the number of post, is this because I'm looking my own profile or is there a way to stream-line it.

Well I'm glad you found the settings page...but to answer some of your other questions

2. This forum was created by HammerStone the administrator in 2006.
3. We have a wide range of ages and a few new believers. We have a couple of old and crankies as well

4. No...most "other faith" believers are relegated to specific areas like the "Meet Christianity Forum"
5. No...
6. as per settings
7.You will have to ask HammerStone about that one because I don't know.
8. Your information is not visible to other users, just your location I think...

Yes that pretty much covers them all, thanks a lot Angelina. I have already been in contact with a Lit Aflame administrator about another question and they are very helpful and quick to respond, as you guys are here. Thanks to all.

Click the button that says "Quote" in the box below the post you want to quote and it should turn up in the "Reply to this topic" box...The quoted text can be a little dull so I tend to "bold" it.

For a while it wasn't working for me either. What I did was to right-click on the quote button and open it in a new tab or window. It worked after that.
