What does the bible says about someone who is oppressed by demon ?I believe i am one because i hear very clearly some spirits that claim to be the angel of light speaking to me. I am a Christian and had been batised before and I also do read the bible regularly. Yet i prayed to Jesus for help that the spirit stops bothering me yet it won't go away. This had been happening for 3 years and the spirit is really weaking my faith telling me stories about the spiritual realm and accusing me of sinning which will take away my salvation. I try to stay strong in my faith by believing that i am saved. Guess i will be oppressed forever and every and won't live a human life anymore !! help !!

Hi Revelation_night,What church are you going to?Do you speak in tongues or pray in tongues?Do those in your Bible study or in your church speak in tongues or pray in tongues?Does anyone teach another baptism of the Holy Spirit as eveidence with tongues? That may be the precursors in the trouble you are getting if your church or Bible Study group or someone among you is practising a departure from the faith in seeking another spirit other than the One already received as promised for coming to Jesus. If that be the case, I have scriptures to share with you to rest in Him. The key is to rest in Him and not chase after the "Holy Spirit" since He is in you. Matthew 9:17Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.John 6: 35And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.Ephesians 1: 12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. 15Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,Hebrews 11:1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Galatians 3: 14That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. It is an adulterous generation that seeks after a sign for the Holy Ghost as signs are for unbelievers. We rest in Jesus that we have received the promise of the Holy Spirit by faith. In any event, ask Jesus for discernment if you are involved in something that allows this to happen like... opening yourselves up to the "Spirit" or to listen to "Him". We are edified through the Word so as far as voices are concerned, if it demands you listen to them about stories of the spiritual realm, believe God would have allowed you to be taken up and show you like some of the saints were in the Bible have been done. God is God, and He would have foreseen your reluctance to believe by having you taken up instead of wasting three years to get you to listen to some "angel of light". There isn't any more important information that is needed for our faith except through the King James Bible that the Lord would just as well , lead you to read and thereby be edified in the knowledge of Him so that your love may abound yet more and more.If they don't go away, then if it was me, as I am sure many would recommend not talking to them, but then Jesus spoke to the devil and put him to silence by the scriptures so... If it was me and they still persist, I would argue, "Do not bother telling me about the spiritual realm for I shall soon know all things when Jesus takes me Home. What need I to know of such things down here? Rather, I shall read the Word of God and trust Jesus to help me abide in Him. This is probably your fiery trial to try you. Stand firm in the Word and be steadfast in the faith that is in Jesus Christ.1 Peter 4: 11If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 12Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.1 Corinthians 10: 12Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. 13There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 14Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.2 Timothy 3: 10But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 11Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.1 Peter 4: 17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. So place your trust in the Lord. Maybe all of this are just winds of the storm as you look to Jesus to walk on that water towards Him through that storm. If ever you lose sight of Him to look at the winds and sink, just do as Peter did and ask the Lord for help to ignore the winds of the storm again and keep your eyes on Him.Matthew 14: 28And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? 32And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. When we come Home, into that ship, the wind shall cease indeed. Count on that.

I have three pieces of advice that will help:1) Study the Word. Then, a little later on,2) Study the Word. When you are done with that,3) Study the Word. (In other words, even though you already do, you can't do it enough)If we know what God's will is, and know truth, the devil has a hard time.... after all, the scripture says, Resist the devil, and he will flee..The word "resist" from what I see in the Greek means to stand against, oppose and is an active element on your part.I know exactly what you are going thru, because I endured a lot of that in my younger days, temptations, sins, and then trying to hit you with "are you sure you are saved?" tactics. This day and age, I have more problems with my church that underwent a shake-up lately. I feel almost as if I am entering in a haunted house or something with such a dark, oppressive force being there. I have to pray that the devil will flee from there, too, with more truth being preached. I think the congregation and the minister had too much of a easy ride these recent years. And one other thing..... this should assure you (and this goes for anyone with a similar problem). If you are being attacked, then you are on the right path! Satan has no need to attack his own, lest they would run to Christ. Just stay there. I will pray for you.

Demons are nasty invisible life-forms, like Arnie's Predator. They operate by subtle stealth, and their biggest advantage is that many people don't even believe they exist,or are scared of them, and are therefore easy meat for them! Demons are basically brainless little things who Jesus swats like flies. He said:- "I cast out devils by the finger of God" (Luke 11:19/20) We don't SEE demons,we FEEL them worming around inside our minds like alien parasites, trying to twist our thought processes to their will. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness.."(Eph 6:12) Demons are SABOTEURS,doing their utmost to make humans unhappy so they and their master Satan can FEED OFF the bad vibes of discord and hate they've sown in the human race. Demons will sift our brains and zero in on any personal flaws to try to get a foot in the door of our minds. "Don't give the devil a foothold" (Eph 4:27), "Resist the devil and he'll flee from you" (James 4:7) But if we give in to their promptings,we gradually become taken over by them and end up POSSESSED in varying degrees, like puppets and ventriloquists dummies with demons pulling our strings. Demons make weak people blurt out swearwords, become drawn to filth and squalor,be loud and hyper, violent,do self-harm,have panic attacks and slag off Christians etc. To defeat them,we simply keep a cool laidback frame of mind and use the weapons of kindness and decency and honour in our daily lives backed up by the holy spirit. And if demons are hassling you, tell them to clear off in the name of Jesus,he terrifies them:- One demon in a possessed man saw him and shrieked:- "Let us alone; what have we to do with you Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are,the Holy One of God" (Mark 1:24)"Whenever the evil spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, "You are the Son of God."(Mark 3:11)"Demons came out of many people, shouting, "You are the Son of God!"(Luke 4:41) A whole lotta shakin goin on -"Believe in God,the demons also believe and tremble" (James 2:19)

There is this nice website that contains an archive of sermons. And I did a quick search and I found a topic list on demons. You should check it out. http://www.sermonaudio.com/search.asp?curr...s&keyword=Demon Can a Christian be demon-possessed?Rev David SilversidesNow I haven't really listened to this sermon yet, but it's worth a chance.http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=8505131926I'll pray for you also. What's your name?Eph 6:10-20Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

'No chastening of the current time seems joyous, but grievous. But afterwards it yields the peaceable fruits of righteousness. If you endure chastening, then God deals with you as with sons. For which father chastens not his child? But if you endure not chastening, which all are partakers, then are you bastards, and not sons.'

He's not a demon. The energy we give out even after salvation... is what will be multiplied and given back to us. To have a peaceful and happy life, we must think, speak and act accordingly ...even when we are seemingly alone. Your not alone, not even in your thoughts...He knows everything. That's what He is trying to tell you.I think you are very Blessed.Jesus defuses demons, when he is present they cannot stand. He is the Healer and a demon knows this. Negativity is overcome with Positivity, Darkness is overcome with Light. When you have a negative thought, counteract it with a positive thought, even if you have to speak it outloud.

Thanks for all the help and the replies i get here. I had read through them all. I think i am all alone in this battle and i really hate it because i don't know where to get help from. I was thinking could it only be just me in this whole world. I know it is kind of negative yet really can't be help. Luckily there is this forum that i can get some support from. Demon are really nasty creatures. They are all as nasty as they could be being persistence in their love for destruction and that is why hell are made for them. Yet my deepest fear it that they might pull me along into hell with them because they are right here beside me everyday and if they don't leave me now, where will i go when i die ? To hell with them ?Yet luckily i am fairly close to God because instinctively i know there is a force within me guiding me in the right direction and if i follow this force i know i am safe from the demon. Yet the demon tried to make things difficult for me by repeating what the force is saying trying to confuse the hell out of me. I am quite tired of all these spiritual war already trying to ignore all the voices that i hear because it is the demon repeating all my thought to me and i hear every single thoughts that i have and the worse it that the demon is adding a twist that is the demon version of my thoughts. This is crazy i know. More that crazy just by reading. How crazy will it be having all these within your soul giving you no rest. And after reading through the bible which seemed too good to be true. Just cast the demon out and be fine yet, that is not true in reality because i am still not fine after 3 years.

Hi Revelation_Night,
I think i am all alone in this battle and i really hate it because i don't know where to get help from.
You said the answer.
Yet luckily i am fairly close to God because instinctively i know there is a force within me guiding me in the right direction and if i follow this force i know i am safe from the demon.
You have yet to accept the full promise in acknowledging that. Apply that faith in Him. Believe Him at His Word. Even ask for help in believing in that promise.1 John 3: 22And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 23And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 24And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.1 John 4: 1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 2 Corinthians 13: 5Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?1 Corinthians 6: 19What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.1 John 2: 20But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. 21I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. 22Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 23Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. 24Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. 25And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. 1 John 5: 18We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. 19And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. 20And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. 21Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.I shall send a prayer up for you to Jesus right now.

It also may be your surroundings. Where do you spend most of your time? Do you have a good church? Can you feel the Holy Spirit in the Church? If so, what kind of church is it? Ask for a pastor to pray for you... along with you.

Not soon enough Wakka. Satan hasn't even come to Jerusalem claiming to be God yet. And we will see Satan at the FIFTH/SIXTH trumpet and see him as our flesh body. We will never see Yahshua in our flesh body. Only in our spiritual body at the SEVENTH trumpet.JagLovest ye in Christ Yahshua, Lord and Saviour.

Remember Jesus' promise: John 14: 1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.I believe that to be the pre-tribulation rapture promise as judgment must fall on the House of God first, so always be ready, everyone. Don't let your house be broken into with the things of this world. Watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation as Jesus taught us to pray... Our Father Who Art in Heaven... lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.. for thine is the kingdom, the power , and the glory forever.. Amen. That means He will do it as the power in living the christian life comes from God.And if you do not believe in the pre-tribulation rapture; then always be ready, everyone, because death can always come at any moment. As Jag's signature goes, put on the whole armour of God.

Pariah, I stated this to you before...There is no Pre-Rapture Tribulation in God's words. It is straight from Satan. Not from God. We are not going to fly away. *sigh*JagI love you, but I can't believe in this lie. So I must rebuke you.

I think i spend most of my time doing daily things like studying, working leading a normal life. Yet when i am alone i spend most of my time seeking for the spirit of God because that is what i have to do, if not i would be further and further away from God until sin overcomes me and unable to correctly identify God. There was once i was doing my daily seek and asking this "where are you God, may the spirit of God come and guide me" and i heard "I am here"and i ask "where"and i heard again "The one that says that"and i ask again "who" because i know it is the demon repeating those thoughts.and i heard "seek" I think it had become a norm for me to see demons but the most frustrating thing is that i hear them. I will never know who they are but i know they are demons because it is safer that way.For most parts i hear but ignore yet i can sense two forces fighting within me.

Whether it's true or not, it's still not essential to salvation. So it's alright to have an alternate opinion.

Seek and you shall find...Knock and the door will be opened.Trust God with all your heart. You know what is right, you know what is loving. If you hear a negative voice...counteract it with the positive voice...above all keep going and "LISTEN", I "BELIEVE" the Lord is with you and you are going to be just fine.Love to you.

Oh but it is my brother. You see all these poeple who say it is a lie, they comfort themselves saying, oh this hasn't happened yet, oh that isn't fulfilled either so let us wait for these signs to come true and then we get ready. So they don't realise there is an imminent danger of "falling asleep" in the idea that it is not the time yet, that we still got time. "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness"They don't want to see it it's their choice, but it is very essential to expect the Lord even right now! There I am, I said I wouldn't engage in this conversation and respect the site's stance/thesis on this matter, but couldn't hold myself.Sorry.
