Have a question but need guidance

I have a question about something I read in the Bible that is really causing me a great deal of torment and I tried googling this chapter and it says some people steer clear of this book because it can be so depressing. Yes it most certainly is. Due to that I am also very unsure if I should post this question(s) and possibly infect people with my thoughts. Is there a way to private message people on these boards? If there is can somebody with a very strong faith and knowledge of the Bible please PM me so I can ask this question I have?

If somebody does send me a message and isn't comfortable answering just tell me you don't want to answer, I will totally understand.

This is a Bible discussion forum. If you want private conversations about a pressing theological question, you're kinda missing the point of this site.

No, I don't think I have, some people might misinterpret what I am asking and view it as an attack on the Bible or weaken their faith, needed to talk to somebody experienced first. I asked the first person that sent me a message. If they think it is ok to discuss openly then I will. I want to bring glory to God with my life, not bring about confusion. If my course of action offends you I apologize, it was not my intent to hurt you.

I'm not hurt, Thunkerkat.

In my time here, I've seen people push evolution, deny the Trinity, claim 3 Jesus's appeared in the Bible at the same time, tell me I'm going to hell, that the moderators are endorsing false doctrine, and that every one of us needs to repent or face God's judgment. I think that some joker here even said he has a clothing optional family and suggested that Bigfoot is real and not a myth.

I think you're safe here.

Thank you for the replies everybody and thank you Richard for breaking down the first chapter of the book of Ecclesiastes for me! I did look at different versions and the King James Version seems to be better here and more appropriate.

That was a terrible attack from the devil though, he twisted the word of God and used my own intellect against me.
