It is an excuse to be a responsible Christian.

(I left out giving credit to one author to later prove it is mine if stolen. After writing it, I had one person say that the Bible wasn't true since I was correct and I had other people whom I didn't persuade.)

Exodus 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me;

Christians do not hate Jesus so why does Charismatic theology teach Generational Curses? It is an excuse because "Name it and Claim it" isn't Biblical and because it doesn't work they have to blame you.

I feel that some Charismatic teaching has given rise to spiritism because of the overemphasis on demons, devils and generational curses being the sole cause of our problems causing us to need constant deliverance instead of us focusing on correcting our sin. You would be trying to tell me that sin isn't wilfull but every sin is wilfull!

The idea that we have generational curses is completely false in a new testament setting. Galatians 3:13 "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree:" If you believe in generational curses then you can't believe that Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law. Proverbs 26:2 says,"As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come." Since Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, a curse causeless shall not come so you can stop believing that the demons are putting the curse of your father's sin on you so if we believe that Christ has been made curse for us then any curse causeless shall not come. John 9:3 "Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him."

1. “In Your Faith” broadcast by Pastor Joe Domico, Galatians 3:13, Proverbs 26:2

“Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but have power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.”-I Cor. 7:37

The word for “Power” is “Exousia”. Exousia is Strong’s # 1849 which means,”force, capacity, competency, freedom, mastery, magistrate, superhuman, potentate, authority, jurisdiction, liberty, power, right, or strength.” Paul is saying that Christians have the Royal right or authority over their own will.

If you don't have the authority over your own will then how will you get authority over a demon to cast it out?

1 John 5:18 ¶ We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

It says "that wicked one toucheth him not". What would be more clearer than that? There is a way to keep yourself in the love of God by praying:

Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth (680, haptomai) him not.

John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch (680, haptomai) me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and [to] my God, and your God.

The same word for ‘the wicked one “toucheth” him not’ is haptomai and it is the same word “haptomai” used by Jesus and the idea is “don’t cling to me mary”. If John says that the wicked one “toucheth him not” then the idea is that demons can’t cling to Christians.

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."-1 John 4:4

"In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,"-Ephesians 1:13

If the devil can break the seal and indwell you then the Devil is stronger than God (which is false) and can indwell the bodies of believers because they say that the body isn’t sealed because if God sealed our bodies then it wouldn’t be subject to sin and death. They claim that the devil can build strongholds (II Cor. 10) in our bodies because our bodies are just containers and our bodies are not the real “us”. The reality is we’re subject to the law of sin and death based on the curse of God because of our sin.

Where is the scripture that says our bodies aren't the real us? Where does scripture say that the seal only concerns salvation? Where does scripture say that our bodies are just containers?

"For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal (body) must put on immortality."-I Cor. 15:53 The reason the Jews buried their bones was a belief and testimony that God would raise their bodies one day. The reason atheists have their bodies cremated is to make it harder for God to raise them for the day of judgment.

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."-I Cor. 6:20

I Cor. 6:20 calls your 'body' and 'spirit' "God's" property.

A seal is Strong's #4972 which means to stamp for security or preservation. We're stamped making us God's property. God did not stamp us for healing because the word comes from 4973 which means that we're sealed from "Misappropriation" which would be demon possession because it (signet) means 'fenced in'. The law of sin and death has not been repealed by God so we will get sick and die.

John 5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

John 5:8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

John 5:9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

If we were demon possessed because of sickness then what ability does the Paralytic man have in and of himself to take up his bed and walk? None. Right? He got up because God gave him the ability. Well the word of God tells us to live right and when God tells us to live right then we have the ability to live right 1 ; demon or no demon.

It would be wrong for me to blame demons on my child not learning instead of teaching him how to pass subjects in school and it is time people take responsibility for their lives instead of hurting themselves and others because they want to give too much credit to demons. When we focus on Satan instead of Jesus then I feel that is wrong. Rebuking demons instead of being accountable, being responsible, parenting our children and being responsible adults is to hide from our responsibility and to ignore the sins of our flesh.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, *All* power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. So when the Bible tells us to live right then God gives you the power to obey.

"Some of the names given by these supposed demons which are more popular are lust, hatred, liar gluttony, envy, fear, and jealousy. These things are classified in Galatians 5:19-21 as the works of the flesh. We're told to 'put off all these' (Colossians 3:8), or by the Spirit to "mortify the deeds of the body" (Romans 8:13; 6:3-14). Not once are we commanded to have them cast out."-Pastor Chuck

I disagree that anger, lust, depression or rebellion are all caused by demons because they are works of the flesh. Demons are more interested in high oil prices, inflation, world leaders than you and me.
This article helped a blog writer win a reward and the person debating me wasn't born again so he/she said, "I guess the Bible isn't true" because they believe the theology of demon possession over the Bible.
