The Coming Asteroid Impact in the Atlantic Ocean

Revelation 8:8-9
8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

Isaiah 2:12-16
12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
13 And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,
14 And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,

16 And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.

Ezekiel 38:13
13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

The merchants of Tarshish and their young lions are the Revived Roman Empire from Daniel and it’s colonies. These border on the Atlantic Ocean.

Why can’t it be the MEDITERRANEAN Sea, a sea with which the Jews were familiar as the “hinder sea?" The Roman Empire SURROUNDED the Mediterranean Sea! Tarshish probably was just west of the Straits of Gibraltar in what is now Spain, but Sh’va (Sheba) and D’dan (Dedan) weren’t even CLOSE to the Atlantic Ocean! They’re both on the eastern shore of the RED Sea, D’dan in what is now Saudi Arabia and Sh’va in what is now Yemen! In fact, this “sea” might INCLUDE the Red Sea as part of the water way since it is connected by the Suez Canal for trade!

Do your due diligence to study a subject out before making claims. While some suggest that the “young lions” include Great Britain and the United States of America, where’s the proof in THESE verses? We Americans love to see ourselves in all the prophecies of Scripture, but frankly, we’re not there.

Hi Retro, While I'm sure we've had this conversation before and I too question whether the vss. of the OP point to America, let me say this. In my opinion, there is no such thing as a revived "western" Roman Empire. If there is any truth to be had regarding that scenario, it would be a revived "eastern" empire. Also, imo, I do see America in scripture as the Babylon of Jer. 50 & 51 and Rev. 17 & 18. While I'm not locked in stone on this, it would take the destruction of America and decades of time before any other country could even come close to the descriptions given that America defines quite nicely.

Many people refer to the forth kingdom (Rome) as the revived Roman Empire because it will all come back together under the antichrist. Actually the forth kingdom still exists today as the ten toes.

The Atlantic Ocean is about 1/3 of the total ocean water.

Isaiah 2:12-16 It is the ships of Tarshish that are destroyed when 1/3 of the sea was destroyed. Sheba and Dadan are in Arabia.

There is no doubt in my mind that Tarshish is the UK and the young lions are the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
This is an incredibly involved study which I'm not going to get into but if one takes the time you cannot reach any other conclusion.
And yes the Atlantic is roughly a third of the earth's water and if the comet struck in only one area, it would be the Atlantic not the
pacific, Mediterranean or anywhere else it would either be too much or too little.

I have heard a lot of American preachers etc., sound frustrated because they don't seem to "find" the US in the Bible,
but you're there just hunt for the Scriptures that contain the phrase.
