I wish everyone were strong Christians, not permitting themselves to be easily offended. James 1:19
I see far too many Christians taking offence and expressing anger. I am among their numbers, sometimes being angered by stupid things.

It pains me that we are supposed to bend over backwards to accommodate this weakness, even surrendering our own liberties. 1 Corinthians 8:13

It is sinful to look upon others nakedness, but not for a husband to look upon his wife's nakedness nor the wife to look upon her husband's nakedness. At Proverbs 5, it says concerning wanting sexual love from a "wayward woman", that to "drink water from your own cistern (or wife) and flowing water from your own well. Should your springs be dispersed outside, your streams of water in the public squares (or a wife go and have sexual relation with another man) ? Let them be for you alone, and not for strangers with you. May your own fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice with the wife of your youth, a loving doe, a graceful mountain goat. Let her breasts (seeing her naked) satisfy you at all times (as in foreplay). May you be captivated by her love constantly. So why, my son, should you be captivated by a wayward woman or embrace the bosom of an immoral woman ?"(Prov 5:15-20)

For example, at Exodus 20, Jehovah God told Moses: "If you make an altar of stones for me, you must not build it using stones cut with tools. For if you do use your chisel on it, you will profane it. And you must not go up by steps to my altar, that your private parts may not be exposed upon it.’(Ex 20:25, 26)

Upon Adam and Eve's rebellion in the garden of Eden, just before Jehovah was about to force them out the garden, Genesis 3:21 says that "Jehovah God made long garments from skins for Adam and for his wife, to clothe them".

Once they ate the fruit from "the tree of knowledge of good and bad " (that established Jehovah's right to set moral boundaries for us as humans, setting a pattern for any future moral laws as our Creator), "then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized that they were naked. So they sewed fig leaves together and made loin coverings for themselves."(Gen 3:7)

Until that time, Genesis 2:25 said that "both of them continued to be naked, the man and his wife; yet they were not ashamed." Adam and Eve should not have been ashamed of their mate's body, but Jehovah had apparently built a "mechanism" within the forbidden fruit that would activate upon eating it, sending out a signal that Jehovah's law had been violated, perhaps triggering their conscience.

Nakedness, more so for men than women, triggers a response, and that is why the pornography industry is bigger than all the major sports combined, bringing in an estimated $100 billion each year. That is why Jesus said at Matthew 5: "You heard that it was said: ‘You must not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone (or a man at that time, but now with LGBTQ in vogue, this includes women) who keeps on looking at a woman so as to have a passion for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If, now, your right eye is making you stumble, tear it out and throw it away from you. For it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to be pitched into Ge·henʹna (or everlasting destruction)."(Matt 5:27-29)

The moral boundaries that Jehovah has established is now being "run over", in which "the sky is the limit" when it comes to doing any and everything sexually. However, at Colossians 3, the apostle Paul wrote: "Deaden, therefore, your body members that are on the earth as respects sexual immorality, uncleanness, uncontrolled sexual passion, hurtful desire, and greediness, which is idolatry. On account of those things the wrath of God is coming. That is how you too used to conduct yourselves in your former way of life. But now you must put them all away from you: wrath, anger, badness, abusive speech, and obscene talk out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another. Strip off the old personality with its practices (with its immoral sex), and clothe yourselves with the new personality (that is morally clean), which through accurate knowledge is being made new according to the image of the One (Jehovah God) who created it."(Col 3:5-10)

what does the Bible say about Christians and nudism?
I knew the invention of birthday suits would have hands up in shock horror. Was it really a bummer of an idea!

@Lambano Well there is being totally nude and totally clothed.

Then there are many stages in between. I don't encourage ppl to go to nudist beaches. But I don't try to police swimwear, either. Otherwise one gets into going round in subjective circles about things like whether bikinis are "okay" or not, forgetting that some stringy one piece suits are actually more minimal than some two pieces.

I recently found out a couple at my church are nudists/naturalist. They are elders in the church. Is nudism wrong for Christians? Why?
I suppose I should explain a little bit more.
I've been a Christian for about 10 years but have only been going to church for the last three. So I'm not well Bible verse done this and I'm having a hard time finding the answer to this question. I'm not too sure I am comfortable with elders in the church being nudists. But if it's not actually wrong. I would like to know why and where in the Bible it says that.
The Bible says we aren't supposed to look lustfully at people (Matthew 5:28). I have trouble believing the nudists in your church aren't looking lustfully at people, or that people aren't looking lustfully at them.

After Adam and Eve rebelled in the garden of Eden, and as Jehovah God was about to force them out of the garden, what did he do ?(Gen 3:1-6) Genesis 3:21, says: "And Jehovah God made long garments from skins for Adam and for his wife, to clothe them."

Sin had been introduced and Jehovah knew that immoral sexual desire would eventually gain the upper hand. And it need be remembered that Adam and Eve were husband and wife, so that seeing each other naked was not wrong, but Jehovah set a precedence for them and their children of what now is required - clothing, modest clothing, not the skimpy ones that are so common now.

At Micah 6:8, Jehovah tells the Israelites through Micah: "He has told you, O man, what is good. And what is Jehovah requiring of you ? Only to exercise justice, to cherish loyalty, and to walk in modesty (Hebrew tsana) with your God !"

Jehovah requires modesty, which means "awareness of one's limitations; also chastity or personal purity" (Insight on the Scriptures, vol 2, pg 422) A dictionary says concerning one aspect: "sexual reserve: reserve about nudity or sexual matters, especially a preference for clothes that keep much of the body covered".(Microsoft Encarta Reference Library 2005)

At Proverbs 11:2, it says: "When presumptuousness comes, dishonor will follow, but wisdom is with the modest (Hebrew tsana) ones." Those who are presumptuous flaunt the high moral standards that Jehovah has established, while those who are "modest" or humble, realize the need to wear neat and modest clothing that covers the body up reasonably, not trying to entice the opposite sex with a "show of skin".

At Proverbs 7, a married woman plays the role of a prostitute while her husband is off on some business trip, she being called "the immoral woman" with "her smooth words", so that she entices a young man with perhaps tight or revealing clothing or skimpy outfit, to engage in sexual relations with her because she wants to have her "fling", perhaps she is bored.

But what is the end result ? Proverbs 7:21-27 says: "She misleads him with great persuasiveness. She seduces him with smooth speech. Suddenly he goes after her, like a bull to the slaughter, like a fool to be punished in the stocks, until an arrow pierces his liver; Like a bird rushing into a trap, he does not know that it will cost him his life. And now, my sons, listen to me; Pay attention to the words I speak. Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways. Do not stray onto her paths, for she has caused many to fall down slain, and those she has killed are numerous. Her house leads to the Grave; It goes down to the inner chambers of death."

How many remember Jesus words at Matthew 5, in which Jesus says: "You heard that it was said: ‘You must not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who keeps on looking at a woman so as to have a passion for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart" ?(Matt 5:27, 28)

Jesus said that if a man kept on looking at a woman so as to have a passion for her, possibly because of what she was wearing, tight, revealing clothing or practically no clothing at all, that may accentuate her breasts and hips, causing the man to become sexually excited, then decisive action was needed.

So, should a man (or even a woman who sees a man and says "what a hunk") allow themselves to be pulled into this deathtrap ? Jesus continues: "If, now, your right eye is making you stumble, tear it out and throw it away from you (gaining control over "lust"). For it is better for you to (symbolically) lose one of your members than for your whole body to be pitched into Ge·henʹna (or everlasting destruction)."(Matt 5:29)
