Religion is painful!

God has called me to Love! Thats all I want to know! Oh how I long to be well so I can walk in the Spirit again! My heart bleeds bc of the ways I have failed my Savior! may God forgive me! He alone knows how bad I been hurt! please pray that I will walk in the Spirit no matter how much I am Judged to be wrong.

Feel my tears brothers and Sisters and pray that I will recover to walk in our God.

I asked Jesus to come into my heart as a young girl and he is the compassion in me. Save me Jesus!!! Ive been wandering!

See_ I believe that if the religious had not lied and been cruel, I don't think i would have strayed. How can the leaders who take the peoples money saying "we know the truth, believe only us- don't listen to anyone else! And then you study the Bible and see they lied, but if you show someone then they hate you and you are out of the group for telling the truth! I just want to go with my heart, the part of me in which Jesus lives. I am crying right now so please don't be mean to me! Just post some prayers that I need!

Ok so just forget it! You cant say I love you to your own Brother and Sisters! I feel Spiritually alone and must get over it with God alone

Religious people love their own group! I have not been able to find a group I can belong to but you all should pray for me anyway!

Ask yourself this- Do you love the people who differ in beliefs?

Who really cares about the tears that drip from the eyes!

truth is not very many people care about someone outside of their group!

I just don't fit bc I care about everyone!

Just glad to know that Jesus guides me even when i am wrong.

When you cry out in the middle of the night God is the only one you have! The religious don't love you, only God does care!

According to James 1:27 KJV, pure religion is both loving others and obedience to God's laws. Lots of people who claim to love God and others will be shocked to hear, "Depart from Me ye that work lawlessness" because they only wanted Jesus as their Savior but not as their Lord.

1. It is a good sign to be convinced of and hold fast to our beliefs. If we judge ourselves harshly God will not judge us 1 Cor 11:31.

2. You will always be growing. Most mega churches cater for day 1 of Christianity and no further. You have to see it as restaurants. Adults choose veggies and steaks at reputable places. Children want fast foods and deserts only.

3. Who hates them? They are just not identified as a Christian denomination with good reason. They deny many fundamental doctrines of the bible.

4. Trying to be perfect points to love for God though. How does it not? We seek to please those we love. Pleasing / loving God = obeying His commandments. Love is not a feeling. It is an action driven by heart that produces feelings. So if you don't feel love, the fault is not the rules but rather the heart.

5. I wouldn't say you don't know unless you have IQ<20. It is that grey matter between our ears that condemns or justifies us all. You know if what you are doing is evil. You know if you are seeking to repent or not. We all sin. But we choose to love the darkness or hate it John 3:19. You go to hell for your love of the darkness. You are punished according to what you knew and did Rom 2:6. You go to heaven for your hatred of evil Rom 12:9 Let your love be genuine, HATE what is evil, cling to what is good. Sin never got anyone into Hades or Hell. Loving it does. Think of Paul in Rom 7:15. Salvation that we have nothing to do with is when Jesus cleans those who hate what is evil. Hating what is evil = quick to repent and accept Jesus / deny your evil will from ruling your life Psalm 51:17, Matt 16:24, Rom 8:13.

6. I am sorry that you have been hurt, but don't throw the baby out with the bath water. Meeting together is important Heb 10:25. Having meetings guided by qualified elders is important 1 Tim 3.

Loving others is the second commandment. Our personal love is not on the list in case nobody has noticed. We are hidden in Christ. We are happy if God is happy. Hence Christianity cannot be faked. Selfishness / love for self always shines through eventually.

I really do 'hate' all the talk these days about wanting to just ''love''. I am not intending to attack you. But just understand that is the parting cry from religion for many sinners. Sinners who confuse freedom to sin and approve of those who sin freely....as being loved and loving. The irony is that is hate Prov 27:6.

Obedience to God is good POM, but it's better to come from love than fear.
If God didn't exist He never would have drawn me and I wouldn't be a Christian so no, I wouldn't follow Him if He never existed.

pain is living without Christ. Peace can only, be found in Christ. I remember my days before Christ. That was pain. Though we are called to carry our cross Christ yoke for us is light in knowing and having our heavenly Father is always with us. By no other name can one be saved but through Christ. No other supposed God came down to earth to live with and to die for His very creation because we were unfaithful to Him praise the Lord. Call on Allah but he will not answer. Call on Jesus and He will be there.

I think you totally misunderstood the cry of my heart! I need to love myself in order to let the love of Christ shine through. I thought about replying to all your comments but am not able to do so right now. If I were you I would pray for more discernment Just glad that others showed up with encouragement before you posted. I feel sad about almost everything you said. i want to love God with all my heart, mind, body and soul! I want to walk in the Spirit so I can love my neighbor even more than I love myself. I need to love myself so I can be there for my neighbor! My problem with religion is all the man made rules and all the lies! All the cruelty of Religion, which has nothing to do with my savior! Ask yourself why you "hate the people who want Christ's rule of Love?"

Jesus didn't create a religion.. Religion was already here, in fact, religious zealots were greatly responsible for his death. Jesus didn't create denominations or even name his church. He said "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6). When a person believes and follows his teachings and example, they are part of his church. "But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people" (Jeremiah 31:33). Imo, that's all it boils down to.. Jesus didn't bring religion into the world, he brought salvation.

The King restored the holy order of Melchizedek. Made the disciples and apostles the first new priests of that order in centuries.

He created the church for fellowship, for sanctuary, for gathering and for livery.

He issued orders for worship, prayer, tithes, alms and organisation.

He even said that this new church replaces and invalidates all previous ones.

It is a religion. And that's not a bad thing.

Only the enemy wants you to be ashamed enough to deny it and cover it with "its a way of life"; the spiritualistand secular hogwash ideal so you don't sound like a fanatic. Its used by the enemy to try and lessen us, to make is hide our light.

Don't give in.

There is something else going on that you are not sharing with us. You want generic 'feel good' replies. But you are making statements that have been heard many times from people that ironicaly do not love Jesus. Just look at your own words.

We are instructed to do unto others as we would want done unto us. Not, love others as ourselves. Try see the difference. The first implies selflessness, the next implies nothing more then the heathens do.

Christinaity 101 is death to self. If you lose your life you will find it. If you try find your life you will lose it. Sounds to me like you are trying to find your life Matt 16:25.

Perhaps just share what exactly happened? I think it is very unwise to bash churches that God established and until you come clean, it is possible to jump on toes.

Jesus did bring 'religion'. Why did He choose 12 disciples and Paul? A church, elders and regular communion was His wishes for a support structure from day 1.
If all that had to be done was for people to hear about Jesus, He would have helped some random person invent the television.

I have always tried to do unto others as I would have done unto me and whenever I fall short of this I suffer! A lot! I have been very ill and suffer horribly from depression. You misunderstand me! I am not a selfish person and never have been!

I am not trying to bash churches because even the truly wrong religions have people who belong to God. The religion I was raised in did so much wrong that I am suffering. They made up all kinds of rules that are not in the Bible and when I asked questions they would just say it's in the Bible, but would not show me where. (because it was not in the Bible). They judged peoples salvation based on their man made rules. They claimed to be living lives without sin yet they told so many lies. I was whipped for lying even when I was not lying. After so many whippings you change your truth telling to lies b/c how much abuse can a small child take. Then when studying the word I realized how many lies they told, I felt betrayed beyond belief! It was all about control! They taught the parents to abuse their children and never stuck up for the abused children! Then they went around and closed and yes stole all the churches that were not following their man made rules! The righteous people who called them on it were kicked out of the religion in spite of a life time of faithful service. I don't care about what they did to me any more but about what they did to their faithful followers. My heart aches. My problem is that my anger for what they did to the faithful is hurting my relationship with God! How can they claim that they never sin and are child abusers, liars, and thieves!!!! I have to forgive them but it is oh so difficult! I escaped from the controlling cruelty but they still live in my head. May God help me! I did not even know about grace!!!!

I come from a place where we follow the bible to the tee on discipline. Many who have been kicked out speak like you do. I am not saying you are wrong. It's just hard to comment without all the facts.

Abused the children? Man made rules? Care to explain a bit more?

I was once a member of a church that made me pray for millionaires and my wife over empty chairs

That's not a problem with religion; that's a problem with fallen mankind.

I suggest fasting and more time in prayer. (Pray in tongues is you have that gift.)

Get to know Jesus better. He doesn't have any shortcomings, crackpot ideas, of false doctrines.

To do that, take a couple of weeks or months and read each Gospel through 5 times. Read them one at a time. Read Matthew 5 times then Mark 5 times, etc.

You'll be surprised what you find that you missed before!

Always pray before you read.

Here's a good prayer for that:

"Oh heavenly king, the comforter, spirit of truth
who art everywhere present and filling all things,
treasury of blessings and giver of life,
come and dwell in me, cleanse me from all impurity
and save my soul, oh holy One."

Then: "Open my heart, oh Lord, and my lips shall proclaim your praise."
