Is God a being? Webster says, "being n. 1. existence, life 2. fundamental nature 3. one that lives or exists"Can you figure it out?
I just said God is not a 'being'. God is greater, infinite. 'being' is bound by certain restrictions. God has no restrictions.

Are you saying God is not an extraterrestrail being?Remember, Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world?"
The bible isn't to be taken literally. If God was being literall when he said, "Not of this world.", then that would mean that if humans tried hard enough, we could find him in the living world. We can, of course, find him in prayer, but I mean like, finding his kingdom type of finding him. That's my guess, I hope I can find a scripture to support this. Remember, don't take the bible too literall!

The Bible is to be taken literal, but when taken literal it's supposed to be looked at from a Spiritual View. Now Carnal is more of the Word to use. If you take the bible carnally(Man's Understanding) you will be lost in the muck of creeds and dogmas.

Actually the way I understand this is.Literal understanding (your wisdom) Spiritual understanding (God's wisdom) and the essence (common sense/reality) these three are one.JagLovest thou in Christ Yahshua, Lord and Saviour.

He is not an alien and he does not drive a space ship. But I bet you live to regret what you wrote. I was told this would happen in the 70's. Guess you do not know your bible very well.

God exists as an extraterrestrial being, occasionally visiting the Earth. He has at times harvested people from the surface of the Earfth, and has seeded the Earth with genetic material. His mysterious flying craft have been seen for millenia, and are never understood by the people seeing them. He would rather work for the most part in a surreptitious manner with his secret agents on Earth. He secretly controls the governments of Earth and influences the technological development of mankind. He has allowed for millenia mankind to mutilate and slaughter itself without interferring. His lives in a far removed place beyond our Galaxy. He has the ability to manipulate time and space in order to travel. He wants all credit for anything good, and refuses to be responsible for anything bad. It is all about His personal agenda.
God is an extra-universal being. He exists outside of space and time and has entered the universe to reveal his heart and plan for humanity. God made the universe and therefore is not part of it. That places Heaven outside of the universe. God made us in his image out of love. We were made to be in a unique relationship with him. We were to enjoy his personal fellowship, but we were given the freedom to choose to love him and follow him. We went our own way, causing us and everyone else much pain and sorrow. God has revealed himself to us through scripture and through people. They testify to his goodness and mercy.God wants to restore that special relationship and has gone to great lengths to do this, including entering his own creation in the person of Jesus Christ.Since God made the universe, he does not need a spaceship to travel in. Since he exists outside of space and time he has no need to be limited by it. He does not need to travel linearly from point A to B.Indeed God is alien to those who choose to ignore him, but that does not make him an alien. This is his universe and so he cannot be a stranger here.Blessings,Dunamite

As far as god being an extraterrestrial being, this is and isn't so. God exists in a dimension beyond human comprehension, it is beyond our comprehension simply because the way in which our brains react to certain circumstances and situations is incredibly simple. As someone once said, we are designed to understand how to deal with a saber tooth tiger, not a gust of wind or a strange noise in the attic. Our minds are conditioned to time and space, our critical thinking and reasoning mechanics are molded by our affinity to this dimension that is limited to three sides. God said that even when he is at his weakest, and we at our strongest, he is still more powerful then man. This is because he exists in a realm that has never been creeping under the shadow of time, space in heaven is probably inconsequential. He has fourth, fifth, and sixth sides, something that our minds are unable to process as it is contradictory to how our brains process logical information. This is why I believe faith is so important to god, you've transcended human limitation to express your devotion and love for God. An interesting article you all may be interested in is a publication by Dr. John Clayton, which can be found here. Of course, when I refer to God as a being of an additional side or dimension, I'm implying that he is everything that man couldn't possibly hope to understand. We live in Flat World, he is the painter. So, I suppose that you could consider him a being that's alien to the material realm, though, not entirely, after all, he did construct it.

The Bible is a spiritual book and most Christians are religious, or carnal or just spiritual babes. The Bible is written in a spiritual language that is made up of symbolism, types, patterns, parables and mysteries (Gk sacred secret). Let us not forget language, culture and it is just plain deep and awesome.
