Your completley right God bless you Tyrel your brother in christ Ryan Fitz
this out of the topic, but I'd like to say it ... 'your intelligent babble'..., yes Tyrel you are intelligent and I'm so opposite,simple-minded, so expect that from me, that I really don't understand many things you are saying. Many times I don't even have that much patience to read all the things you say. And it's not just yours ... any too long philosophical mails take my concentration away. That's my problem, not others... and then I deal with it like this:eek: It's good to have you here, you've got a gift that I don't have. Continue sharing it ! With Love & Blessings, Thunder1

where in the bible does it say that people who except homosexuality cannot be part of the body of christ....But if there mistaken, and try to live thier lives by Jesus Christ, there definitley my brother/sister.
Of course people can be gay and might still be Christians, PROVIDED THEY DON'T PRACTISE IT..

Likewise, someone with a strong compulsion to kill, steal, lie or abuse children can possibly still be a Christian providing they don't actually DO it..

Notice the word 'WERE' which i've capitalised in this verse -"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you WERE. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." (1 Cor 6:9-11)

Yes, the key word is "were". We were those things but should no longer be. Even though we might still desire the old sin, that doesn't mean we should give in to it. God has provided a way for us to escape temptation. We now have a new nature in us, although we still unfortunately still have our sin nature. However, the nature we feed is the one that will grow strong. The two natures in us (sin nature and Holy Spirit) are desiring to be fed and nurtured. One will grown strong, while the other one starves.A pastor once visited a member who hadn't been in church for a long time. It was winter, and the fireplace was lit. The pastor said nothing as he took a hot ember from the fireplace and put it by itself on the hearth. Neither man spoke as they watched the ember fire go out and the ember grow cold. The man then said, "I'll be in church Sunday, Pastor." He had gotten the message that not feeding the soul with God's word would cause him to grow cold..

yeah, I'm in and out, please don't expect me to be here always, that's all. I've got loads of other places where I go for actually stimulating discussion. Sometimes I like this community, don't get me wrong, but whenever I try to stay here too long, I find it leaves quite the bad taste in my mouth. So, I'll be in and out. If you want my say, do like Ricky, and just PM me.. like you did to direct me to this post.

Topic: HomosexualityThere are Christians out there who feel that homosexuality is perfectly fine. I have even heard gay Christians quote scripture to justify this particular lifestyle. These are the same Christians who read from the Word of God on a daily basis and believe that the Bible is the sole source of faith and truth for Christians. These people believe that they are guided by the Holy Spirit and have interpreted the Bible this way. So, who's right? Are Christians who say homosexuality is wrong and sinful and quote scripture right? If so, what about the people on the other side of the issue who feel homosexuality is perfectly fine and use scripture to back it up? Remember, both are using the Bible to justify their arguments.P.S. For the record, the RCC calls homosexuality a grave disorder and is completely against homosexual marriage and unions. I'm playing devil's advocate with this topic.
Lets follow common sense. In order for a couple to form a unit of life (in marriage) they must have physiological union; because, life is physiological. The only function, in which two human beings can have physiological unions, is in reproductive (procreative) physiology. Furthermore, procreative union is only possible between a man and women; and both are essential to complete the cycle of reproductive physiology. Therefore, marriage is only possible between a man and a woman. Furthermore, since the physiological purpose of conjugal union is procreation, in order to make it an act of love the couple must leave their union totally open to procreation. Conjugal activity involving union of sexual and gastrointestinal organs is unnatural, because, it involves union of organs that are physiologically incompatible and non-complementary. For example we do not eat through our ears or breath through our gastrointestinal orifices. Similarly, you can not open a lock by a lock (you need a key) or try to complete a electrical circuit by connecting a positive end to a positive end. Same sex activity, therefore, is not physiological. It is, therefore, a sexual perversion. It is also a grave disorder, because it uses procreative elements of mind, body and spirit for a perverse purpose.
