Will the rapture take place midway through the tribulation?Rev.12:10 NOW has come the salvation, and the power and the kingdom of our God... for the accuser of our brethren has been cast down, he who accused them beforeour God day and night.... Because of this be glad, the heavens, and you tabernacling [temporarily dwelling in them, as those raptured at the midpoint of the tribulation will come back to earth with Christ at Armageddon] in them. Woe to the earth and to the sea because the devil has gone down toyou in great wrath, knowing that he has but a short time. This passage describes the devil as enraged, having lost his battle with Michael and the good angels and permenently been thrown out of heaven to the earth. Why wouldthere be a battle in the heavens at this point, 1260 days into the seemingly successful reign of antichrist? The battle is the last ditch effort ofsatan to prevent mortals, men made of dirt, from being resurrected to takethe place vacated by the glorious rebel angels themselves. Notice that both Isaiah 26and Revelation 12 link the resurrection and the casting down of Satan simultaneously, just after 1260 days into antichrist's rule. This fact disallows the inaccurate belief that Satan and his angels have already been cast down to earth (a Mormon contention), and theories that the rapture takes place at the beginningof the seven years or some point significantly later than the midpointof seven years. Also 1260 days is not 3 1/2 years. It is 17 1/2 days short of 3 1/2 years.3.5x365=1277.5 The jewish calendar is inaccurate so it is unreliable.Well, thats my 10cents.

Oh, Swampfox, when you say that Christianity is a reality, not a religion. What dictionary are you using? Dictionary.com clearly says Christianity is a religion.re‧li‧gion  /rɪˈlɪdʒən/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[ri-lij-uhn] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –noun 1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs. 2. a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects: the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion. Thanks

I am not swampfox but let me take a stab at explaining this Christianity requires that you beleive in one God,the bible is Gods word, and that Christ is the only begotten son of God.and if you beleive this and live by Gods laws, which are the ten comandments then you are a Christiain you are not required to go to church or join a certain relgion to be a Christiain in fact many people that beleive in God and Christ and strive to live a moral life following the comandments are Chistiains weather they know it or not. This is what is meant by Christiaity is a way of life or could be said Christianity is the way you live your life.Religion is what man adds on to Christianity and their interpitation of scripturesBaptist,Catholics, ect.all interpt scripture differently but they all share the above requirements for being a Christiain hope that makes sense

I don't need a dictionary to define my faith, Slython. For a true believer, Christianity is not just another world religion. Christianity is indeed a reality. God is the one and only God and Christ died on the cross for my many sins so that I could lead an eternal life. You seem awfully confrontational in this thread and a couple others; I guess time will tell. It's just a bit strange given I didn't invoke a dictionary at all; I don't live my life by Webster's or Dictionary.com.

" you are not required to go to church or join a certain relgion to be a Christiain in fact many people that beleive in God and Christ and strive to live a moral life following the comandments are Chistiains weather they know it or not. This is what is meant by Christiaity is a way of life or could be said Christianity is the way you live your life"kriss- I agree totally. Even Pauls says that if we never heard the gospel and listen to the law of God that is written on our hearts(our conscience-I personally believe that the Holy Spirit works through the conscience)it will defend us on judgement day.Romans 2 14For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do (Y)instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, 15in that they show (Z)the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them, 16on the day when, (AA)according to my gospel, (AB)God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus. Also, the thief on the cross did not have a born again ritual, a baptism, a prayer, or any religious ritual when he said that Jesus was a righteous man, all he asked was to be remembered when Jesus enter his kingdom and Jesus said in Luke 23 43And He said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in (AJ)ParadiseFunny thing is that in Matthews account both robbers on the cross insulted Jesus and none were told they would be in Paradise. Matthew 27 44(BA)The robbers who had been crucified with Him were also insulting Him with the same words. This is a clear account that the different gospels contadict each other and any unbiased, honest person would have to agree. But I am not going to get into controversial issues on this website anymore because I find Swampfox and kriss to be kind, fair, and reasonable unlike another website that I won't mention.Well, I'm gonna find an athiest forum to pester. Athiests are a very insecure bunch because they are such a small minority and have to constantly ignore and debunk overwhelming evidence that there is a spiritual and supernatural existence.cheers:)

Hold your horses a moment there on that statement.I'm not here to argue, but I am here to instruct. I get this all the time, and time and again people realize that there is no contradiction in the story. There are no contradictions in the Bible. You can take that to the bank.Matthew 27:38Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left. The key word in this verse in then. Notice that this takes place right after that casting of lots. These two robbers were brought later and crucified at this point in time. Also note that these are two thieves (robbers). In Luke 23, you'll notice that there are two companions, addressed only as malefactors, with Jesus to be crucified:Luke 23:32-3432 And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.Notice here that these two individuals were crucified with Christ before lots were cast. These two malefactors are different individuals from the two robbers crucified, quite clearly, after the casting of lots. Contrary to the traditions of men, Christ was not crucified with only two others. He was crucified with four.Clearly, this is nothing new as witnessed by the attached image - research the "Les Cinq Croix." The Companion Bible with EW Bullinger has an excellent appendix on this very topic and goes into better detail with the Greek text and other verses that confirm this.
