(Isaiah 29: 8-19) It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion. Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink. For the Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered. And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed: And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned. Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid. Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the Lord, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us? Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding? Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest? And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness. The meek also shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel."

The old testament gives clear instruction to not drink wine. Why does there seem to be this angsts throughout the bible? Is wine bad, or is it good?

(Genesis 9: 20) “And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:”

Sin is relentless.

(Genesis 9: 21) "And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness. And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.”

Then there are the verses pertaining to Moses and his daughters. Followed throughout the Old Testament by countless commands to not drink the wine (of corruption plagued by sin). Which (wine) they were commanded to avoid in hope of a new wine. A better wine to be saved for last.

(Nehemiah 10:37) And that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God…”

A New Testament: Wine made New:

(Luke 1: 15) “For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb.”

(Luke 5:36-39) “And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old. And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved. No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.”

No man that tastes the good pleasure sin feeds to the flesh, is quick to desire the abstinence from sin that the new spiritual birth calls for. It is so easy to desireth the old and try to return to our old ways. “But no man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.”

(Acts 2:13) “Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.”

(Roman 14:21) “It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.”

(Ephesians 5: 18) “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.”

But be filled with the Spirit…walk by the light so that you do not cause a brother to stumble.

The Wrath of an Almighty God for those not covered by the atonement of Grace.

(Revelation 17: 2) “With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”

(Revelatation 14: 10) “The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:”

Because of sin: Everyone is appointed to drink the wine of the wrath of God. But Christ, our Lord and our propitiation, drank the wine of the wrath of God in the place of those that are called His. He was sent as a servant to the husbandmen, the householder saying, (Matthew 21:37-39) “They will reverence my son. But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.”

The Cross.

Old wine is made new. A ransom paid in full putting us right before God. Jesus being the only way to come before the Father. Unless you think you can perform enough good works in your lifetime to be exempt from drinking the wine of the wrath of God… which is impossible. The Law reveals man’s crippling inability to walk upright before God. But what is impossible to man, is possible for God.

(Isaiah 51: 21-22) "Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine: Thus saith thy Lord the Lord, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:"

Which cup are you drinking from?

(1 Corinthians 11: 27) “Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.”

Which leads to a question pertaining to (Luke 22:18) "For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come."

Does Christ drink from the fruit of the vine now? After His resurrection; Christ being the first fruit. Does He drink from the fruit we produce by abiding in the vine? Or is (Luke 22:18) to come?

Concerning your question about (Luke 22:18), the answer to that will be based on how one defines the 'kingdom of God'.

I do not believe Christ drinks from the fruit of the vine now, as I don't believe the kingdom has come yet. See (Acts 1:6-7). "When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power."
