(Revelation 4: 2-3) “And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.”

The Glory of God: a Lamb as it had been slain

(Revelation 5: 1-7) “And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.”

The holy Jerusalem and her light: (Revelation 21: 11) “Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;”

(Revelation 21:23-24) “And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.”

The Glory of God (The Lord) is the foundation:

Jasper “most precious stone” It was the last of the twelve inserted in the high priests’ breastplate. (Exodus 28: 20; 39:13), “a stone of brilliant and transparent light.”

(Revelation 21: 19-20) “And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst."

The Chief Corner Stone and The High Priest

(Ephesians 2: 19-22) " Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone In whom all the building fitly framed together growth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit."

(1 Timothy 6:19) “Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.”

(1 Corinthians 3:10-15) “According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

GINOLJC, to all. good topic. he who sits on the throne, chapter 4 and chapter 5, is he who stands by the throne, the Lamb, in chapter 5. God, now glorified in flesh and in spirit in diversity, hence the titles Spirit of God, and Spirit of Christ, both word Spirit capitalized. what is John telling us? there is no lamb "of" God in heaven now. we have God, glorified as a man. a mediator, and High Priest, sitting on the throne, and his Spirit now sent, (before his throne), to us as comforter. this Spirit that stands and is before his throne is God almighty the everlasting Father, the mighty God of Isaiah 9:6 in flesh and bone, but (no blood). the resurrected Lamb now glorified in flesh and bone. what a sight John must have seen, as what he saw in chapter 1 on earth. the Lord Jesus standing, and sitting at the same time. yes, standing, Spirit, the root of David, and sitting, the offspring of David. just as he was before his glorification with blood on earth as a man and in heaven the eternal Spirit, (see John 3:13). now only in reverse. the Spirit is now on earth, and the Son in heaven.

Victory, in the name of the Lord Jesus thank you. many don't really realize what this scene in chapter is saying to us. as your name states, OUR Victory in Christ Jesus. OUR Salvation in Christ Jesus, OUR Comfort in Christ Jesus, OUR sins are forgiven in Christ Jesus, OUR life in Christ Jesus. I could go on and on. chapter 5 and the whole book is full of promises that was fulfilled for us. just one.... (smile), Exodus 19:6 "And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel". this one I like, and was filled by his resurrection here in chapter 5. what a mighty God we serve, just thinking about all he have done for us is mind blowing. well I'll stop here for now but this revelation is exciting. I wish more christian would get into the book.

The Passover slaughter of the Lamb: Exodus 12 5-8 "Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it."

May I add also this, Exodus 24:6-8 "And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. 7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient 8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words".
God words and his people words carry weight. notice I said "his" people words carry weight. for his people words should be his words out of their mouth . but the blood, the blood, the blood we're covered, just as Moses sprinkled it on the people, Christ has covered us with his blood. Oh yes, there is a reason why we're called "brothers" and "sisters".

VictoryinJesus, thanks for the post. let's take a closer look at this Lamb. Revelation 5:1 "And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals". not to argue, but many have said that this is the father sitting on the throne. if so I have one, no two questions to ask them. #1. if this is the Father sitting on the throne, question. "When did the Father receive power, is he not all powerful?". because the one who sits on the throne receive power, supportive scripture, Revelation 4:11 "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created". here clearly the one sitting on the throne receive power. now my second question would be, "who gave power to the father?". so that right there eliminates the Father from sitting on the throne. and it's only one throne. so if it's not the Father then it must be the Son. but if it's the Son who sits who is the LAMB that stand?. notice it's the LAMB who stands , not the Lamb "of" God, but the Lamb. also one of the elders gave us some information on this Lamb, he called him the Lion of the tribe of Juda, but this Lion have additional identification, this Lion is the "ROOT" of David. this is the game changer, the ROOT of David is before David. also the elder gave us more information on this Lion, "it stood" after it had been slain. this Lamb/Lion is resurrected. and then glorified. because this Lamb have seven horns (all power) and seven eyes (all knowing), which are the seven Spirits of God, (seven is complete). but what about his omnipresent? 5:6a "sent forth into all the earth", there's that omnipresent. so the LAMB is the Holy Spirit the Father, God all mighty. The Spirit of God, and the Spirit of Christ, all in ONE, "HIS" Spirit. and this Spirit is sent into all the earth, the comforter, the Spirit of Truth. yes the Lamb who gave "his" blood, Acts 20:28 "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood". what a Lamb.

now you know me, I'm a diversified oneness, this chapter clearly shows us this diversity in plain sight. for we know who the Holy Spirit is, the Lord Jesus glorified. may God bless.

Just as the Paschal Lamb was to be eaten - we too, eat the Paschal Lamb, Jesus (John 6:53-56).
Beautiful type - and glorious fulfillment.
